CHAPTER 6

Allison's POV

The hell! A warrant of arrest?! What did I do?!

The chief showed us a piece of paper and gave it to Levi. He looked at me, asking for permission to read it. I simply nodded.

"This is a warrant of arrest to Ms. Allison Cruz for violating the law of the government. The suspect was accused in the case of FRAUD AND ROBBERY. Further explanation and investigation can be done in the police station.

Signed by

Court of Justice, Police Station III"

Who's that hell who reported me to the police!? Levi looked at me as he finished reading what was written on the paper.

"That is not true!" I defended myself. For sure Boss Rom would get mad at me.

"Sorry Ms. Cruz but we need to bring you to jail and find a lawyer as soon as possible. Your explanation will also be entertained in the police station."

"What?! No!" Levi hissed. "You do not have enough evidence to put her in jail!" He added.

"We can show it in the police station but not here, Mr," the chief explained. I brushed my hair frustratedly. I deeply sighed. Law was always injustice!

I turned my eyes on Levi. "Call Boss Rom then just follow us in the police station."

"No, Ali! You can't come with them. You did not do anything!" He exclaimed again, trying to stop what I was thinking.

The police finally put the handcuff on my hands while I was still talking to him. "Tell him to find a lawyer for me, okay? I'll be good. Don't worry."

I turned my eyes to the team. I formed a fake smile. "Vigilantes! Finish the event here and be back to your work as much as possible, okay?"

The police pushed me as I walked with them. When we reached the police car, Levi ran towards me. He held my hand. Worry was evident on his eyes as he looked at me.

"I'm alright. I can handle this."

I looked away and entered the police car. The car started and drove away from the orphanage. I left them with confusion. I came along with these policemen without an assurance in my fate.

Few minutes later, I did not notice that we were already here in the police station. I was spacing out for a minute. I deeply sighed and followed them as they stepped down from the car.

The police held my hand and pushed me to walk inside the police station. When we finally entered inside, different eyes were focused on me. Looking mad as if I made the worst case ever.

I never imagined that I would be here in this place as a suspect but not a lawyer. The hell!

The police station was like the Vigilante Association building but the difference was the police station was more wider than the association.

The police brought me in a mini room where two or three persons were allowed to enter. They ordered me to sit on the monobloc chair with the table in front.

Few minutes later, a man wearing a jacket entered the room. He was bringing a folder. He looked at me and smirked then he sat down in front of me.

"I'm Mr. David Asuncion, an investigator," he introduced. "Did you know Mr. Arman Manabat?" He asked.

I shook my head. Whoever that person was I don't care about him.

Mr. David showed me a picture of a middle-aged businessman. "He is Mr. Arman Manabat, the person who accused you for fraud and robbery."

I grinned. "I don't know him! How the hell is he for accusing me of a crime that I did not do!"

He smirked. Suddenly, he showed me a sketch of a lady. My eyes widened in shock after I saw the lady's face.

I looked like her. It's like she was my carbon copy of my physical features. The only difference was her hair. She had long curly hair and I had long straight hair.

"I am not that woman!"

"Don't deny it, Ms. Cruz. The victim showed us your background information," Mr. David said.

I gritted my teeth and closed my palm. The hell!

"I'm telling you the truth! I am not that woman. I don't know who Mr. Arman is and I did not do a fraud," I continued to defend myself.

He looked at me, smirking. "Well, prepare your lawyer, Ms. Cruz. You will be staying here in jail until… you've paid for your case."

I looked at him with a terrifying look then he walked out of the room. He was lucky because I still had the handcuff on my hands. If not, I would punch his ugly face with all my strength.

The police took me out of the room and brought me into the jail area. As I was walking, I saw the other jail persons looking at me inside the prison cell. I rolled my eyes and didn't mind their looks. 'You were also lawfully sinners, Dude.'

We stopped in front of the prison cell. The police opened it then he also unlocked the handcuff on my hands.

He ordered me to go inside and I walked towards the prison cell until the police locked it again. I looked around inside. There was only one double deck bed. A mini comfort room was also built at the side of the prison cell. Am I alone here?

"It's obvious, Ali," I whispered to myself.

I sat on the double deck for a moment. Who was that lady? How come I looked like her? I didn't know anybody who wanted to drag me down like this.

I made a face palm when I realized that Mom and Dad didn't know what happened to me. I sighed. I rested my body on the bed until I fell asleep.

*****

Few hours later, I woke up through the call of the police outside the prison cell. He gave a white folder with few papers inside then he went back to his work.

I opened the folder and it was written on the papers about the rules and regulation inside and outside the prison cell. The visiting schedule was also written and the duration of time where each jail person could go around the police station. Great!

I jumped on my bed when the police called me again. "You have a visitor."

When I heard the word visitor, I quickly went out of the prison cell after the police unlocked it. As I went in the visiting area at the left corner of the police station, from the back I knew who he was. It's Boss Rom.

I quickly went in front of his chair and sat down. "Boss."

He looked at me. "Allison. How are you here? Are you alright?"

I nodded. "What now?! Did you find a lawyer for me?"

Then he suddenly looked away. "Of course. But unfortunately he was in abroad. He told me that he would come back next week."

My eyes widened. "Next week?! The hell! I'm still gonna stay here for a week, Boss?!"

"I'm sorry, Ali. But we could not find any other lawyer because our association is also in risk," he explained again.

"Boss, you do not have to worry about the association because no matter what happens I would not be telling them..." I move closer to him. "The problem is that someone is using my name and my identity for unlawful crime. I badly need to go outside as soon as possible to find that bitch!"

"Your name and identity?" He asked.

"Yes! So, help me to find that woman bitch who used my name because she is the one who needs to be here, not me!"

"Calm down, Ali. Don't worry. I will assign Tania for that," he assured.

"How's Levi?" I suddenly asked. I knew he would worry too much about me.

He looked at me teasingly. "Did you miss him?"

I rolled my eyes. "No! I'm just worried."

Boss Rom chuckled. "He's fine. He's too worried about you but for now, here are your necessities such as clothes, foods, etc." Then he gave me a hand bag.

"Thank you, Boss." I simply said and put the hand bag on the floor.

"Take care always. Some jail persons here were really unlawful sinners but I know there were some who are innocents like you," he cheered me up.

"I know. Remember? I am Allisson Cruz, a Vigilante who always fights for justice." I grinned.

"Good. I will go for now. Levi will visit you everyday, don't worry," he assured then I nodded.

He stood up likewise on what I did. I saluted on him then he walked out of the visiting area. As he already vanished in my sight, I held the hand bag and went back to my prison cell.

As I was slowly walking and looking down in the aisle between those prison cells, I could not forget the image of the woman behind this hell that I'm experiencing.

Suddenly, I stopped when I felt a hard thing on my head. I looked up and I saw a man in front of me.

He was a few inches taller than me with hazelnut hair color, dazzling champagne eyes, a gorgeous face and a normal masculine body built but why was his chest so hard?!

Stop that, Ali. I took a deep breath to control my heart from beating so fast and stared at him.

"I'm sorry," I simply said.

"Tss. Next time, look at your way because you don't know where your feet will bring you," he also stated.

What?! I looked at him from top to bottom and I knew that he was also a jail person.

I grinned then quickly walked away from him until I came back in my prison cell. I smiled and bit my lower lip when I remembered his gorgeous face. The hell!
