CHAPTER 20

Allison's POV

"What are you talking about, Ali?" He asked in confusion. His eyes formed a small detailed look as he questioned my actions.

I gritted my teeth and held the gun tightly. "You! You destroyed my life! I trusted you, Harley!"

While my eyes were focused on him, small drops of tears fell down again. The hell!

"I don't know what you mean." He put his hands on his hips and his eyes were kept on questioning.

I grinned as my tears kept on streaming down. I throwed the folder at him. He remained confused because of the folder but I still pointed out the gun on him.

"That's the e-evidences, Harley! Now! Tell me! Why?! Why d-did you do this to me?!"

After he opened the inside of the folder, he browsed all the papers and pictures that were put inside of it.

His expression changed. His mouth slightly opened and his eyes turned back on me. His eyes were pleasing. "A-Ali. Let me explain."

I took a deep breath and I glared at him as my anger was growing. I stepped back on my right foot and held the gun with both hands.

"Explain what?!" I screamed as I quickly shot his right side.

His hands went to his ears and he covered his whole face. "Ali!"

I heard a footsteps inside our house. They were coming to our place. The front door opened and it showed my mom and dad.

"Allison!" Dad yelled as they saw us in this situation.

I did not listen to their words. All I wanted was to destroy this man in front of me like how he destroyed my life. He almost occupied my heart with his words. I've almost treasured him but he destroyed me.

"I want you to leave this house, Harley! I don't want to see you again. Never in my life!"

"Ali… please. Let me say a word first," he pleaded. He slowly moved his hands and offered it on me.

I grinned as I remained pointing the gun on him. "Leave or die?"

His eyes widened likewise on his mouth. "No! Ali… please!"

"You choose, Harley. Either leave or die." I wiped the tears on my face.

He looked down and slowly put back the papers and pictures in the folder. He walked towards my place and gave back the folder without giving any emotion on his face.

"I'll leave," he said.

I slowly put down my hands likewise with the gun. I stared at him as he slowly went inside the house. He never gave a glance to my parents but they followed him as he walked inside. I was left alone and remained standing in my place as he slowly vanished in my sight.

Minutes later of being occupied with my thoughts, he showed again in my front. He was bringing his bag with him and his eyes were still pleading with me.

"If you want me to leave, then I'll leave. I would never let you see me again. Never again, Ali."

He walked out without looking back. His footsteps were heavily walking away from me. I also turned my eyes on him as he walked away until the door of the gate was eventually closed. This time I would never see him again.

*****

I opened my heavy eyes as the sound of the alarm kept on annoying me. I clicked the end button on my phone and placed it back on the side table of my bed.

I tried to fully open my eyes but the heaviness of it was invading me. I've never cried a lot for a man before but not until he came into my life! The hell!

I deeply sighed and stepped down from the bed. I went to the bathroom and took a bath for the day. After a few minutes, I went out while wearing my clothes.

When I was done with myself, I went downstairs. I looked around the house before I stepped down from the last step of the stairs. Dad was in front of his laptop while Mom was in the kitchen.

I passed by at the side of Dad. "Good morning Dad."

He looked up and smiled on me. "Good morning, Darling."

I smiled back and kissed him on the cheeks. When I let go, I walked towards the kitchen. Mom glanced at me and I also greeted her.

"Someone is waiting for you outside, Ali."

I raised my eyebrows in confusion. I'm not expecting someone to be here. "Who?!"

"Just see him outside," she ordered.

I took bread from the table and walked again towards the garden of our house. As I slowly walked in the garden, I remembered the day when I and Harley met again here.

I sighed when I saw a man, sitting on the bench in our garden. He was wearing the Vigilante uniform and his hands were in the pocket of his pants.

"Levi."

He turned his eyes on me and smiled. "Ali. How are you?" He asked as I sat beside him.

I grinned and looked at the flowers. "Good as hell. What are you doing here?"

He showed a smile on his face again. "I want to see my Vigilante partner. I know that you need someone like me right now."

I smiled back as I hid the pain inside of me.

"Thank you, Levi."

Without any hesitation, I wrapped my arms on his back.

Levi was always there to comfort me. When I needed someone, he was always there at my side. From the first day that he became my Vigilante partner, he never failed to make me feel better.

We hugged each other for more than a minute. He let go from the hug and placed his hands on my face.

"When did you become a cry baby, Ali?"

I chuckled as I wiped my tears on the face. I just let him at my side. My eyes widened in shock as he slid his hands on my hands. He also pulled my head and placed it on his shoulder. I closed my eyes as I heard my heartbeats were racing through my chest.

While I'm enjoying the moment with him, a picture of Madi showed in my mind. I quickly lifted up my head and I removed my hands on him.

"Why?" He questioned.

I shook my head and grinned. "I'll stay here in our house for a while. I have to go to my law school with my parents."

"What do you want me to do then?"

"Lead for our mission, Levi. I'll be back the day before the mission. Please do your best so we can have another successful mission," I stated while looking at him.

"Of course. I would do everything for you and for the association," he answered while smiling. He also placed his hands on my hair and gently rubbed it with his soft hands.

"And please take care of my sister. Madi also needs someone like you."

From a sweet smile, it turned into a bitter smile. I knew it! I didn't know why it was hard for him to be attached to Madi.

"I'll try. I would do it for you," he assured. I gave him another smile.

Levi stayed in our house for how many hours. I also introduced him with Mom and Dad. He also ate lunch with us. The whole time that we were together, we were only talking a lot of things until the sunsets showed from above. He went back to the association around five o'clock in the afternoon.

As the time went by, I only focused myself on the laptop until the night came. I ate dinner with my poster parents and during our dinner my Mom opened up the recognition in my law school.

"When is it, Mom?" I asked after I finished my food.

"The next day. Did you already accomplish all your requirements?" She asked.

"Really? It was the right decision to stay here…" I chuckled. "Yeah. I already did."

"Good."

When we were done, I went up to my bedroom. I sat on the chair of my table and faced the laptop. I was browsing an article about the gambling company and I did some research to know their weakest point.

*****

The next day was a normal day for us in our house. I only stayed in my bedroom and some of my time was taken while having a bonding with my parents.

Days had also passed and the day of the recognition had already come.

The sunlight was invading my room as I woke up today. I prepared my things and took a bath first. I went outside the bathroom after more than thirty minutes. I was wearing high waisted black pants with a white sando inside the black coat of mine.

I didn't expect that I would be receiving recognition despite the late requirements that I passed these past few weeks. I smiled in the mirror as I sprayed the perfume on my hand.

"Ali. Darling! Let's go!" Mom called outside the bedroom. I got the hand bag on the table and I went downstairs.

I looked for them in the living room but they were not here. I walked out of the house and checked for them in the garage.

While I was going out, I overheard a conversation in the garden. I walked closer to the voices so I could hear them clearly.

"Maybe we should tell her."

"You think it is the right time to tell her?"

"Yes but I'm scared. I'm scared of her reaction."

"She has the right to know the truth."

I showed up myself from their place. When they heard my presence, they turned their back on me as their eyes were widened. I grinned as I looked at them in confusion.

"What's the truth, Mom? Dad?"
