An interview with M.R.Reinfield

Adrienne: Hello everyone, as I begin with my interview, I would like to introduce M.R. Reinfield and request him to introduce himself.

M.R.Reinfield: First of all, I would apologize as I am a bit reluctant to reveal my real name, rather I would introduce myself with my pen name, M. R. Renfield. I write mostly suspense, thriller and horror genres.

Adrienne:What made you start writing?

M.R.Reinfield: Well, I believe, nowadays there are many writers and many bestseller literary works available around us, but only handful of them can be considered as good. With aging times, we seemed to have lost the essence of literature- it meant to be a way to express our imagination, an escape from our reality, and a mirror to our society, which now has become a timepass or a mode of displaying/normalising morally gray things. So, as I fan of classic literature, I always wanted to bring back the lost era, or the forgotten nature of what it meant to be. I love literature, mostly fiction, so I decided to write.

Adrienne:Besides, writing what are your other favourites?

M R.Reinfield: Besides writing, I love watching movies and listen music.

Adrienne: What was your first reaction when you got to know your book won?

M.R Reinfield: At first, I couldn't believe it! It is truly an honour to see that my work is loved not only as a judge but also as a reader. I, whole heartedly, would like to thank the judge for considering my work to be in the first position, amongst so many amazing works. This achievement would surely help me in my writing journey!

Adrienne: How did you come up with the idea of the book 'Pre-destiny from Talescope Vol.1'?

M.R.Reinfield: I mostly write horror thrillers but I thought of trying something different, like not holding back myself limited to a particular genre, and tried to explore other genres too. In that way, I could evolve as a writer. So, I tried to write something which delves deep into human mind, and is relatable to almost all of us. I attempted to showcase a problem which is very common in this and the upcoming generation, a problem which people often avoid expressing, but is a serious one, and I have also tried to provide a solution which I think, can work people who face it- all of this in a story which can be considered both as fiction and non-fiction. That is how I wrote' PreDestiny'.

Adrienne:What was the most challenging part while writing this book?

M.R.Reinfield:The most challenging part while writing it was making it as simple as it could be understandable and related, because it is, kind of, a sensitive topic. But, I think I did a decent work on it.

Adrienne: What's your favourite moment or scene in your story?

M.R.Reinfield: The whole story is a favourite of mine! But yes, a particular scene which I personally feel is impactful above all, was the moment when the protagonist understood, rather accepted the solution/meaning of life. It is because I think, that protagonist isn't just one person, but represents many of us.

Adrienne: As an reader, what is your favourite genre and who is your favourite author?

M.R.Reinfield: As a reader, my favourite genre is suspense thriller and horror. There are several authors I love reading- Satyajit Ray, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Agatha Christie, Edgar Allan Poe, etc.

Adrienne: What advice would you give to other aspiring writers on Wattpad?

M.R.Reinfield: An advice for other aspiring writers on Wattpad is- don't always be fastidious to take advices from any random people like me. You will meet 10 people, all 10 of them may give 10 different advices/opinions, and all 10 of them may seem correct, as it is not necessary that all those advices will be wrong as they gave advices based on what they have experienced. So, write what you feel must be written by you, and write what you want from within yourself!

Adrienne: Thank you so much for being with us and honouring us.
