11. The worst of human being

The problem is that I had read too much on the topic. I had watched too many videos. I had imbibed scientific seduction to such an extent that I felt able to flirt in any situation.

And I went crazy.

Adrenaline ran through my veins when I saw her in the car next to me, stopped at a traffic light. Blonde, young, beautiful, my type. I lowered the window to speak with her but lights turned green and she left.

I followed her. I had to think of something. I would try to stop next to her at another traffic lights. That girl was running a lot. I liked that attitude. But it made my plans difficult. "I'll hit her from behind to make her stop," I thought. After laughing inwardly at that stupid idea, it occurred to me that I wasn't that stupid after all. Things like that happened every day in a city like this. I would have assured conversation. And we would exchange contact details. All I had to do was to be careful and not hit her too hard. And not too soft, to avoid her taking a look at her rear bumper and saying something like "it's been nothing, be more careful from now on".

I made up my mind. Checking that the next traffic light had switched to yellow, I placed myself behind her and hit the gas. When she slowed down, I made my Audi crash against her Fiesta.

Perfect!

My teeth were chattering, but apart from that I was fine. I made lights and gestures for her to pull over aside. When she did, I got out of the car and went to her, without even checking the damage. I opened her door. She was dizzy and staggering. She had a lifeless gaze.

-Are you an idiot or what? -she said-. I wasn't wearing my seatbelt.

-You weren't?

-No... I hit my head on the steering wheel. And my knee hurts...

She seemed close to losing consciousness. Even so, she had called me an idiot. What a woman...

-What a wild one you are -I said-. Are you that wild also in bed?

-You better have insurance and not having drunk -she answered. She seemed to find it hard to pronounce the words.

I breathed on her and she looked disgusted.

-As you can see, I haven't drunk. And you can be sure about insurance -I snapped my fingers to go with my joke, but she didn't laugh. I began to notice that she wasn't receptive.

-My vision is blurry... I'm dizzy.

There, with her head resting on the steering wheel, she lost her consciousness and got convulsions. It was at that moment when I realized something was terribly wrong.

The funeral took place three days later. The family wouldn't let me attend.
