,, No, please anything but not this ! " He pleaded , but it was worthless . He suddenly felt the presence of a demon . Scared he looked around. ,, I have to find him " He heard a voice , so familiar and yet he didn't know who the voice belonged to.

And then he saw him . Sabito ran trough a bush, his sword in his hands . ,, Sabito , stop ! " But giyuus voice didn't reach him. It was like he was a ghost . But nevertheless, he followed his old friend . ,, There's a demon ! " Someone shouted. As soon as these words were said , sabito turned and ran into the direction of the voice. ,, I'm coming ! " He yelled .

He was so caring ... He tried to safe all the candidates in the final selection. He truly is someone you don't meet every day. Soon after this they arrived at an opening of the deep forest . That's when he saw it. The hand demon , way too big to be in the final selection . Giyuu tried to slash his neck off , but his sword just went trough the demon. Damnit , what is this !

,, Oh oh , what do we have here ? " The disgusting demon laughed, which made him boiling with anger . ,, I recognize your mask ... A student of urokodaki . " The thing laughed again . ,, I'm gonna make urokodaki pay for what he did . He got me here in the first place ! Ever since then I swore to kill every student of him ! "

Suddenly another figure stood beside sabito . It was none other than giyuu tomioka , but when he was still young and had hope . ,, I-im gonna kill you , d-demon ! " Pathetic. Never knew I was like this before sabito ... Died .
,, It seems to be my lucky day ! Two of urokodakis students. Oh , he's gonna be so sad when you two don't return to him . I really would like to see his face when he realises that he lost yet another student . "

,, Shut up , i won't let that happen ! " And then , sabito ran towards the demon , while the little giyuu was to scared to move . ,, I'm gonna slash that neck of your's! Your gonna die tonight ! " And then , he attacked the demon, realising that his attacks were not that useful and so he jumped just a little away from the demon .
,, Your pretty stubborn , kid . Well , let's just get the other one while your recovering. " Giyuu saw with horror , how sabitos head turned around to look at the little giyuu. He could see the worry in the eyes of sabito.

,, I won't let that happen ! " The peach haired boy saved the younger tomioka , who was to shocked to say anything. ,, I'm gonna kill you , here and right now . " Sabito attacked the demon once more , but because of the many demons he already killed and therefore the big usage of his sword ,his sword broke as soon as it reached the neck the neck of the hand demon. Giyuu relived these horrible memories. It was like it happened in slowmo .

The demon controlled one of his many hands , and when his hand was around sabitos head , it was like sabitos head exploded to many pieces .
,, Noooo! " He shouted . He looked at the little version of himself , who was traumatized , but before the demon could have killed him someone else caught him and carried him away from the scene , while giyuu himself fell to his knees . ,, It was my fault ... "

The scene changed again . It was pitch black around him . ,, It indeed was . " He heard sabitos voice again . A creature full of blood appeared , and he could only see the mouth of it , because the rest of the face didn't exist . ,, Sabito ! " He cried out . I didn't cry since a long time . ,, Giyuu tomioka, you sure are pathetic. You wanted me to help you . You wanted me to be by your side when you'll encounter douma , yet , you have let my die . "

Giyuu looked sorrowful . ,, I know , and I'm sorry . " ,, You think that's gonna make me alive again ? I think you are meant to be alone till the rest of your pathetic life . The kocho girl is right , you don't have friends , and you'll never have them . " He didn't know why but he got angry by that . ,, I do have friends , and she is one of them , even if she doesn't want to admit it ! And your also a friend of mine , even though your not with me anymore . And i also know that your just in my imagination. Your a picture of the sabito I knew and how i pictured him to feel after he died . "

,, Oh , so you think you are not alone ? Everybody who was with you , everybody who you cared about , your parents , your sister , me ... Everyone had died . They have died to protect you . YOU are the reason that all of them are DEAD ! why don't you realise it ! You are not worthy of anything you receive because other people were meant to have what you have now , just because you are too weak . " Giyuu was shocked . He knew every word was the truth . He knew it and still , he didn't want to admit it .

Suddenly the floor under him broke and he fell into a black void of darkness .
,, Ahh ! " He screamed . He woke up , looking around . His face was full of sweat , or that's what he thought it was . As he touched it he felt tears , the symbol of sadness . No no no , this can't be happening! I swore to myself that i would never cry anymore!

He was in his room . Sabito ... I'm sorry . You was the one who was supposed to be the water hashira ... I'm not a real hashira , you are . The hero of so many . I'm different than the others , because they did something do be worthy of their position , and me ? I just let the people around me die , and that's not what a hashira should do . He stood up , trying to change his mind .

,, Gahh , tomioka giyuu , go to the village in the south with shinobu kocho . Go to the village in the south with shinobu kocho. " Not right now ! Shit !

A mission with that loner ? Well , I guess it could be worse
She called for Aoi , told her the situation and then went on her way . Usually, when tomioka and her had a mission together , they would meet at his estate , and so she made her way in that direction.
I wonder if he's back to normal. The last time I saw him he was pretty different , maybe he hurt his head on that last mission of his too .

Luckily for her , his estate wasn't as far away and so she was at her destination in 10 minutes . She went to the door and knocked on it . ,,Tomioka-san ? Im here to pick you up for our mission" she said. Before she knocked again , the door opened and standing before her was him . ,,I'm here Kocho , we can go now"
As they walked beside each other she didn't try to tease him . Somethings of with him , though I can't quite say what . It was normal that Tomioka doesn't speak at all during missions when it wasn't necessary , but this time he looked as if his thoughts were entirely somewhere else . And also , he looked pretty run down .

I wonder if something happened . ,, kocho , I need to say something..." she jolted out of suprise . Was he really starting a conversation right now ? What happened ? Was his head still hurt ? She couldn't hide her suprise as she smirked a little .
,, my my Tomioka-san , if you want to ask me if I'm prepared for the mission , then I'll have to say yes" she knew that this wasn't his plan . Something seemed to make him being deep in his thoughts , and that something must be important , because she never saw that anything bothered him or anything .

„No , something as obvious as that won't be needed to asked" He sighed , looking a little tired. „I'm not going to dig in your personal life or something, but I realised something." Her heartbeat was getting faster by the minute. It was not only the fact that she had never heard him say so many words at once , but she had a small suspicion on that thing he wants to say.
„Kocho , I just want you to know something . Even if the whole worlds crashing down on our heads , remember , that your not alone"

She was surprised. „we all have had our troubles at life and we all were able to life trough them." He looked down on her with a serious face. „Don't keep all those emotions inside of you. Don't act like someone you are not. You are yourself , and no one can change that. You are shinobu Kocho and not Kanae Kocho." „My my , is this your payback for all the times I told you that you have no friends ?" Guess he's still hurt. He wouldn't know,would he ?

,, no , it's not about that. You see , I'm in a position where I could need your help... I was trying to figure out when to ask , but I think if I wait for too long , then it's gonna be too late , so I'm making my move right now" he seemed to be very serious about whatever he wanted to ask her. ,, well then , we have a lot of time until we are at the village. Ask away" she said. ,,firstly , I wanted to say that ... I'm sorry , but your facade doesn't work on me" as soon as his words left his tongue , she stood still. Her heart was beating fast and her mind was running slow . Wait , what ? He knows of my facade ? That's not possible ! I'll need to convince him that I don't have a facade !

,, I don't have a facade" she said that with a fake laugh , trying to ease his suspicion . He just sighed. „Don't act like that , that's not who you are . You may fool others , but that little trick of yours unfortunately doesn't work on me" shit , he got me ! What am I gonna do now ?

Hello my readers! Hope you enjoy this story. I think maybe I'm rushing this a bit and I should have moved their conversation about the whole revenge thing a little further in the story, but I do not intend to make this story 100 chapters long or anything.
