6. Scream

"I will not tell my story,

I will scream out loud,
Word to word,
Phrase to phrase,
Scream it,
until,
Everyone has heard it"

His lips turned upward as he sensed someone following him, silently like a predator. So many days have passed, since he actually hunted a new prey.

He stopped near the old abandoned road and waited for the predator to show up.

The air around him shifted in such a way that it suffocated him, narrowing his eyes around him he assessed the trees standing eerily in the dense fog in the early night.

His long, thick fingers curled around the dagger he always kept with him. Pupils dilated with anticipation clawing his heart. Excitement rushed with adrenaline rush into his veins. His long legs jumped high as he climbed the tree to assess his prey's movement.

Dried leaves twitched under her soft movements as she walker in the woods not knowing her surrounding. Her heart thudded with crawling fear and a shiver ran over her spine, setting her every cell on fire, as if someone is following her.

Cold beads of sweat rolled down as she murmured prayers under her breath. Her fingers curler around the hem of her sleeves as she frantically gazed her and there.

Goosebumps burst over her skin as she sensed someone behind, her breath got stuck in her throat. Her steps halted ane she slowly turned around to see a man standing there with a sick smile stick on his half bearded face.

Tears rusher to her eyes, as she comprehend the situation around her. Nodding her head in denial, she took steps back in fear. Her nose and eyes stung with tears as her throat went dry.

The man moved forward, his smile widening with each step.

"Girls shouldn't roam around that late in the night." His slurred voice hit her ears making her face damp in tears.

"Please no" a small whisper was heard from her mouth, but who will hear her? When she was alone with a man in woods, with no help.

"For the sake of Allah. Please." Her back went stiff as she collided with a tree and slowly crouching on the muddy ground, she begged to be left alone, with hushed sobs.

But, the vile man has already made the decision to strip away her innocence tonight. Even, the stars hide behind the heavy clouds to not witness someone tarnishing the innocence of a pure soul.

The man let out the vile laughter as closed the gap near them.

True horror and fear shined in her eyes as she saw the man nearing her. Her every organ telling her to run away, but her feet were frozen, as if someone is stopping her from running.

His meaty hand came in contact with her wrist, she yelled, thrashed to be left free. Tears of horror dampened her veil as she thrashed harshly against his hold.

Her fingers curled around the hard stone as he jerked her up, more closer to him.

Swinging back her hand, she smashed the stonstone hard pn his head, making his hold loose on her wrist and pushed him back.

She again swung her hand and hit him. And again hit him, this time on the face.

Painful groans filled her ears, those painful groans the dripping blood from his head and nose turned her blood cold, so cold she couldn't even see further the hit.

Another hit.

"Never strip a women."

Another hit.

"From her innocence."

Another hit.

"From her truth."

Another hit.

"From her dreams."

Another hit.

"From her rights."

Another hit.

"From her thinking."

Another hit.

"From her own decisions."

Another hit.

"From her own choices."

Another hit.

"From her own mindset."

Another hit.

"From her memories."

Another hit.

"From her happiness."

Another hit.

"From her hopes."

Another hit.

"From her kindness."

Another hit.

"From her clothes."

Her heavy breaths echoed in the woods. Her hands shook with continuous hits and blood. Blood dripped from her hands as if she has bathed in blood. Anger didn't vanished away, it made her turn blind to what she was doing.

She was the Layla who didn't belonged to past, not anymore. She is the Layla, who was going to hunt down her own family. She is the Layla who is going to travel the world in search of her answers.

Fire rushed in her veins as her gaze went to his limp body. Blood. Everywhere blood. His face was hit innumerous times to be recognised if he really had a face or not.

Her stiff feet walked back in the woods, her eyes fixed on his limp form.

"Never strip a woman off of her innocence, don't even try to think about it." Her raspy voice echoed with waves and wind around her.

Crouching down on the ground, she scrubbed off the blood from her hands, because she knew, no water body would be found here.

She didn't felt any fear, now. She felt blankness covering her form. Her eyes turned hard as searched her way in the woods.

Her feet felt hard against the muddy ground, as she ran harder and harder with blankness covering her heart and mind. With thoughts of nothingness occupying her brain.

Her every step was filled with nothingness and full of questions. This time she ran harder not to be lost, but to be found. To be found. The only thought made her run harder and harder by each passing step. She ran with her heavy breaths following her steps, with her tears burning in her eyes, with her heart burning in something, she couldn't name.

She ran harder until her feet hit the concrete road, she ran until she couldn't see the trees anymore, she ran until every thought vanished, she ran until she felt the warmth dispersing in the air, she ran until she couldn't cry anymore, she ran until the sky didn't cry wetting her burqa clad form, she ran until the street came into the view, she ran until she hit the doorstep, she ran until she climbed the stairs, she ran until she reached her own terrace, she ran until she couldn't run anymore, until she ran out of breath and screamed.

Screamed so loud that her throat itched with every sound, screamed until her throat hurt, she screamed until she couldn't scream anymore; a blood curling scream which left her empty. Tears one by one fell on the hard concrete of tye terrace as she screamed louder than ever, harder then ever. The piercing scream echoed with the wind.

He heard it and a menacing smile formed on his lips as he jumped down from the tree and assessed the brutally murdered man.

"Fifteen times, and still it will never be enough." Smirking down at the man he emptied his wallet in his own leathery pouch and waltzed away with sickening smile on his away.

Flashes of her teary and horrified eyes smacked in his mind and shrugged them away with a glare. Unknowingly to him, he was slowly craving to meet her again.

Yeah, so the chapter was written in hurry. But, don't forget to comment your theory about the story. What do you think so far about this?
