Meg ~ 28

I popped one eye open to see Isaac gently brushing my shoulder to wake me up.

"Morning," he whispered smiling, "We have school. "

"How did you get past my parents?" I mumbled as he helped me sit up.

"I told them that we are partners on a project and needed to get to school early to work on it," he smirked.

"Smart," I commented.

"Well, get moving then. I plan on going to Starbucks."

"Starbies!" I chuckled laughing at our inside joke. I my smile dropped as I remembered it came from Alex. I know I shouldnt have hurt her, but she shouldnt accuse Tristan because of some mysterious vision.

"She's doing okay," Isaac said, "Just in case youre wondering."

"Did he really cheat?"

"Maybe not yet. But he was pretty beat up looking. So I guess well find out today."

I nodded taking a deep breath.

I scrambled to the outdoor lunch area to find a spot before the lunch crowd took them all. I plopped my body and fifty gajillion pound bag onto the chair. I looked out across the sea of students slowly flooding The Patio. Isaac stood talking to some geeky tech friend of his. Probably about what happened during all the meetings he missed.

"Hey, Meg!" a chipper voice called from across the way. I looked over the crowds searching for the person. A tall blonde stood in her pink heels surrounded by her posy of perfectly shaped friends. I internally groaned.

"Yes, Stacey?" I replied trying not to roll my eyes as she flicked her hair over her shoulder and strutted over to the table I was humbly sitting alone at.

"Was it fun to play bad girl with that hunk of looks, Tristan?" she asked as the girls behind her shifted, ready to attack little ol' me.

Little ol' me was a little ol' terrified to say the least.

"Hey Stacey!" A voice called behind me. "Was is fun to play bitch with that idiot Darin?"

Stacey let out an almost inaudible screech and strutted away swaying her butt like it was a metronome.

"You're disgusting, Isaac!" one of her minions spat before also strutting off with a flick of her pink dyed feathers.

I let out a breath I didnt know I was holding. Isaac shook his head as he sat down across from me.

"You okay?" he asked. I nodded. "Did you talk to hunk of looks yet?"

I laughed at his reference to blondie. "No, not yet. I haven't even seen him."

"Here he comes. I'm going to go get some pizza," he said with a wink as he got up.

"Meg!" Tristan exclaimed snagging a chair from another table to join us. Ive been wanting to talk to you all morning.

I immediately flipped on my telepathy and took note of the bruises on his arms.

Don't scare her. Just calmy bring up AP.

AP?

"What did you want to talk to me about?" I replied calmly.

She's going to read my mind. I can see she doesn't trust me anymore. She must know about Bianca.

No. No. He did. He really did. I blocked my mind off from him.

"Meg?"

"Hmmm? Oh sorry."

"So, Im in this club. Its hard to pin down a title for it. I was thinking you would maybe like to join. It's pretty easy to get in as long as you have wings."

"Why would I need wings?" I asked.

"Its kinda a cultural club type thing. Its for advanced people," he explained.

Advanced people. AP.

"Who's all in it?" I asked, expecting his reply to involve Bianca.

"Tons of Advances. Some are students, some are simply kids. It's kinda used to practice flight and other skills."

Sounds like crap to me!

"Does this club of yours include that blonde chick you kissed behind my back?"

What?

"What?" he asked shocked.

"You know, Bianca?" I spat, venom surround my every word.

"Meg, I would never,"he lied.

"No, Tristan, I would never because, unlike you, I have standards," I spat standing up.

"Okay, I admit it. I did kiss her. But I dont love her, Meg. I love you."

"Well. I. Dont. Love. You."

I hoisted my bag up and proceeded to storm off to the corner to cry.

My attention turned back to Tristan only as I saw Isaac throw a punch at Tristan. His knuckles collided with Tristans face and a faint crack was heard. Blood drizzled down Tristans face and he threw his hands up to his face to block any further punches from Isaac. I watched silently.

"I warned you," Isaac fumed before being dragged away to the principals office.

Tristan searched the crowds for me as he was guided to the infirmary.

I dropped my head down and pulled my legs to my chest as I began to sob.

Life would have been easier if I was dead.

A/N Hi! Sorry this update was late. I didn't have wifi to post it because I was UpNorth. Anyway I'm almost done with the next chapter, so be on the look out.
