3 ~ (Alex)

"Bye Tristan!" Meg called after he rubbed her lip gently with his thumb and walked back to his car.

"Bye Megs," he replied. As soon as he left we raced upstairs to talk. Meg had a different idea. An idea that contained our biggest secret.

Meg is special, her telepathy is so strong she can show others her memories and thoughts. I walked through the whole date, in her body. But, this gift is considered another power, which is practically illegal, so we keep it secret.

"Wow! Meg! I...OMG!" I screeched.

"I know,right!"

"He's better than I thought."

"Way better! And what a romantic!"

"Okay you just ruined my excitement. Wanna play a game?" I asked, she nodded. "It's like truth or dare but only truth."

"Sure, just let me change quick," she said before hurrying to the bathroom.

She came out a few minutes later dressed in gray sweatpants and a blue tank top, which matched me and my purple tank top.

"Let's take a quick twinning selfie while we still have our makeup on," I suggested.

"Yay!" Meg exclaimed sprinting over to me, "You think of everything, Al!"

"Only because I hate when you make e take selfie's when I don't have makeup on, Cheese," I replied before pulling out my phone and taking a picture of us on snapchat using the puppy filter.

"Aww, we're so cute!" she said in a baby voice.

"We should play the game now."

"OK, you ask me first," Meg said.

"Alright. Truth or Truth?"

"Truth, duh!"

"Let's see," I said rubbing my hands together and looking around the room, "Got it. Do you love Tristan?"

"Ha! You already know I do so question wasted!" she exclaimed triumphantly throwing yer fist in the air.

"Yeah. Yeah." I said flatly, "Just ask me a question already.

"Okay, Alex. What did you really do while I was gone?"

"I made up this game and then played it with myself for quite a bit. Did you know I can move objects that I can't even see?"

She rolled her eyes, "Yes, Alex. I did know that you have telepathy."

"Alright! We've hit the next level! Now we ask the deeper questions!"

"Okay! No creepy stuff though."

"I promise. So, why did you tell Tristan that your favorite ice cream is mint chocolate chip, I thought it was cookies and cream? I know this isn't that deep bu i cant think of anything else."

"Do I have to answer?" Meg asked shyly.

" Yes that's the whole point!" I shouted with flailing arms.

"Fine! Tristan's favorite flavor is chocolate. My world is the mint, he's part of my world now," she replied angrily. "Truth or truth?" she said gritting her teeth.

"Truth," I said sheepishly, I didn't mean to upset her.

"Are you jealous of Tristan?"

"No."

"You're lying."

Okay, so that's fair, she can read minds.

"Fine!" I snapped, "You seemed so happy! In fact, you were so happy you lost control of you're power!"

"I did not!"

"Why do you think he kissed you?"

"He..." she put two and two together and looked down, defeated. Suddenly a wave of openness washed over me, Megs eyes flew open and were filled with a golden glow. Then that was all I saw until everything flashed black.

I must have blacked out because I woke up at midnight and Meg was pacing in front of me.

"Alex! You're okay!" Meg exclaimed wrapping me in a hug, but she quickly pulled back. "Where did you really find that game idea?!" she demanded now pissed.

"A book in the attic," I replied terrified, I knew my boundaries and I had crossed them.

"We aren't allowed up there!" she yelled.

"I know and you know I'm a trouble making bubble(we use regular words instead of swears, they have no specific meaning). And whatever I did I'm sorry," I replied regretting being my stupid self. It's like I'm attracted to trouble, sometimes things just slip.

"We need that book," she said with a sigh as she hugged me again. "And you're not a bubble, your just a curious little mouse."

"For some reason, you saying I'm a mouse, seems to real," I reply.

We race upstairs to the attic and I search for the book that caused this huge problem. I snatched a dusty, old, leather from a table and handed it to Meg. She opened it and leafed through the pages.

"Alex! This is a spell book!" She yelled frantically looking for the page with the game on it.

"Our world has magic?" I asked confused.

"No. People harnessed their powers into word to store it," she replied, "Apparently you opened our vaults with persuasion powers."

"What's a vault?" I asked, again confused.

"The place in your heart where your secrets are stored, this is where guilt comes from for lying, I guess it stores more powers that you can't use until your vault is opened." She replied reading through pages of the book.

"Wait. I have more powers?" I asked still becoming more confused.

"Yes. But they may be dangerous," Meg replied.

"What are they?" I asked feeling like a curious enough mouse.

"Close your eyes and search for your vault, take a path down memory lane," she said reading from the book. I closed my eyes and blacked out...Again.

(within her blackout)

I was walking through thick fog for who knows how far when it parted and revealed a black door with golden designs. As I got closer I realized there were little stars in the black. Now a foot away I reached out turned the door nob... Unlocked.

Suddenly my life flashed before me, playing on the swing with Meg, learning to fly, meeting Isaac, and finding the spell book. When my eyes focused I scanned the room. To the left the whole wall was filled with monitors showing my past and present. To my right were three floating symbols showing my powers, flying(wings), telekinesis(brain waves moving a desk),  and invisibility(a person showing up and disappearing). Right across the room from me were new powers,a lightning bolt, a blob changing into different animals, and a dark shadow-like thing.

I stepped onto the platform below the lightning bolt and sparks flew out of my hands. I jumped back and landed on the blob platform and turned into a cat.
"What the heck?" I said and it came out in English. So I can still talk. "Cool."

I pranced off as a jet black mustang and up onto the shadow-like one. I instantly turned into a transparent  black. Moving swiftly I floated around the platform trying to figure out what this power was. I looked up at the symbol above me. I'm so dumb I thought, I'm a shadow! I hovered to the edge of the platform and dropped turning human again and almost falling down the few stairs that were their.  Suddenly everything swirled into a starry vortex.
