Behind the Scenes (1)

Reina: Some Behind the Scenes Information about "The Vampire's Servant" and "The Dragon Prince." As a note, (Y/N) and Reader-chan are used interchangeably.

- When I started writing The Vampire's Servant, I did not know a lot about Fire Emblem Fates - hence Charlotte appearing as Camilla's maid for like two chapters.

-

- Technically, I don't know if Leo is a true vampire or not. Because he doesn't do anything Vampire related.

-

- When I included Echo in, it was supposed to be an Easter Egg - an alternate version of Isa that was not from Warriors of Smash (her own story). After writing her in, I decided to make it Isa from Warriors of Smash, and ended up changing Warrior's of Smash because of that. At the time, I was still trying to find a way to fix her story, so to me that was a good solution.

-

- Echo/Isa had her appearance changes so much - first purple hair, then turquoise, then blue, then brunet, then blond, and then pink hair, then dark blue violet, and then light blue with streaks in it. All I know now is that her hair is some shade of blue. But in The Vampire's Servant, so appears with pink hair.

-

- Isa was initially able to manipulate illusions, but then I basically made her into Mystique with wings who cannot be an animal. And getting her energy and strength drained whenever she transforms.

-

- Lamia is named (and modeled) after a character in Librarians. Whenever I write Lamia, I imagine the actress in her scenes.

-

- Initially, whenever I would write (Y/N), my mind would default to Isa - I even wrote it a few times by mistake. After adding in Echo, the default name I imagine as I write is Lucy - I kind of need to change that though. Now I refer to her as Tianyi - after a Chinese Vocaloid.

-

- Next chapter will debut *SPOILERS!!!!! It's a surprise, and no, it isn't Echo/Isa's siblings. Or any Smash Bros characters. Or my other OCs, like my yandere. The length of these spoiler blocks do not indicate any hints to the characters or their importance, or what might happen to them.*

-

- When I first created Lamia, she was supposed to be the bad guy if you picked Robin's path. Since I never wrote that, I chose to change her backstory. Her next backstory was that she was your best friend who had powers and a throne (I think she was a fairy), and lost her body, so she chose to inhabit yours until you get yours back. At the end of Leo's story, she was supposed to die saving (Y/N).

-

- One concept for Leora was that she was supposed to be a demon who was going to kill Leo.

-

- Lamia and Leora became sisters 5 seconds before I wrote the scene where Lamia yells at Echo that Leora took her throne. I needed a motivation for Lamia to hate Leora.

-

- Speaking of Lamia's anger, I was supposed to have the Nohrians come in right after Lamia disappeared. She would then grow to despise them (because they didn't save her, although they had no idea what happened), and during the wedding attack them, which would make Echo join the fight. Lamia would then attempt to stab (Y/N), only for Echo to jump in and get stabbed by Lamia. However, it didn't seem right. While Lamia is angry, she has more control than that. In the end, I cut out the scene where the Nohrians visited Lamia, thus changing the story.

-

- Another note - during the old version of the wedding scene, you had to fight Lamia and explain that the Nohrians were not evil - they had no idea what had happened and they were not supporting Leora. As this happened, Leora escaped and attacked your character later in the story.

-

- Regardless of the villain in the wedding scene, Echo was going to get stabbed. If Lamia was the villain, Echo would take one of Lamia's attacks for you, allowing you to defeat her.

-

- In another version of the story, (Y/N) attacks Leora but fails to kill her (and I think Lamia dies here). The Nohrians get angry with her, so she goes home and ends up helping a friend by serving food in a restaurant or bar. Niles appeared and manages to convince (Y/N) to return. Meanwhile Echo just kind of faded away/disappeared.

-

- In the scene where Echo says "Rei-", it was supposed to be a 4th wall joke - that Echo knew that The Vampire's Servant was a story. It was caught early on so I retconned it, but included the 4th wall break in the later chapters.

-

- In the chapter where Echo gives out the paths, if you picked one of the crazy paths, Echo would flip out and drag you to a character that was pulling the strings. I dropped this though. If you were to do it now.... I honestly have no idea. She might laugh and make you try again.

-

- I might give Echo a route where you can pursue her instead of Odin. However, I already gave Echo a love interest, so she may not get a route. If she did....... Well, it'll be sad, actually.

-

- If people have picked Takumi over Cori in the path chapter, (Y/N) would run out and get attacked by werewolves, only to be rescued by Takumi.

-

- Cori became a flirt because I needed to give him a personality that wasn't like Cora's.

-

- The Sigma potion draws its name from a Maximum Ride character that I made named Sigma, who was an assassin that looked like a vampire. He also had a sniper rifle and inteended to kill the main characters.

-

- Initially, my concept of the Sigma potion was to Be a mist that could be controlled by the Reader. The character it was inspired from is Margarita Blankenheim - a character from Evillious Chronicles. She refined a poison known as "Gift" and made it deadlier than normal (it was deadly enough to bgin with). Each experiment she did was with a different version of Gift - one was simple, one caused a coma (and then death) and one was airborne (she had several of them). In another story, she made Eight Gift (the eight version) controllable airborn pathogen and uses it on characters from another time period to make them fall asleep (really complicated - basically everyone was already dead, including her, and they came back). The Eight version was the inspiration for the Sigma potion.

-

- I choose alchemy for (Y/N) because of "Gift from the Princess who Brought Sleep/Belphegor's Gift" - Margarita's song

-

- The Dragon Prince mentions that (Y/N) has an ex-fiancé who wants to marry her still. In The Vampire's Servant, *spoilers that won't be spoilers when a later chapter is written.*

-

- In reality, if Echo could, she would intervene and change the story so that nothing bad happened to (Y/N). However, she is forbidden from doing so from Alicia.

-

- Echo/Isa is in this story to help her move past her guilt and regrets. However, Alicia doesn't really have a clear motivation for being here (nor is she seen). She's basically here because she was talking to Lana (from Hyrule Warriors) one day and noticed that in a potential future, something bad would happen. She traced it to The Vampire's Servant world. In this future, Leora killed the Nohrian roylaty and took control of Nohr, and with their resources crushed Hoshido before taking over the world. She then discovers other dimensions and begins to take them over. Startled, Alicia tries to find a way to stop this from happening, and notices that (Y/N), Cori, Cora, and Azura have the possibility of stopping Leora - the former with her potions, and the latter three because they are Vallites. She doesn't know which of them will stop her, so she tries to find a way to do so, and sees Reader-chan heading to the mansion. Alicia also saw the paths and made Echo present them because she was occupied with her own story - the Second or Third Arc of Ghirahim's My Roommate?, another story of mine.

-

- In the paragraph above, I initially had Alicia (and Echo, although Echo was doing grunt work for Alicia) manipulate the events to force Reader-chan to go to the Nohrians - but Alicia is not that powerful or that mean. She basically took Reader-chan away from her family. As such, it was dropped.

-

- Another thing - I currently don't have a concrete plan for what happens to Isa. She does do bad things, but I'm not sure what they are. As such, this is why she's ambiguous with her past - because it's not written. She even acknowledges this herself.

-

- If Echo had a path, (Y/N) has a rival to compete with - the person whom Echo had fallen in love with earlier, but never confessed to. If Echo didn't have a path, she will travel to other worlds before going back to her world and confessing to the one she loves.

-

- If Echo could, she'll make (Y/N) binge tv shows (specifically anime) until she gets kicked out by Lamia. Afterwards, she'd sneak back in to do it again.

-

- Currently, I don't know how Echo and Lamia will act in The Dragon Prince, given that the circumstances are different. Given that *even more spoilers here. Did you know that this story was inspired by a picture? Spoilers spoilers.*

-

- At one point, I was going to have Echo and Lamia fall in love. However, in one version, Echo would leave Lamia to return home, which would destroy Lamia. Another version had them living together happily with a son and daughter, and they would commute to Echo's world on holidays.

-

- The whole Leila/Lamia, Leora, and Lucy naming thing was an accident.... Kind of. It was an accident to have Leora and Lamia. Lucy kept popping in my head, though.

-

- Lamia was supposed to be named Lauren and her mom was going to be Leila - but Lauren basically made her emotionless. Leila makes her seem more carefree.

-

- ***y is actually **/**.

-

- For Lamia's voice, I imagine the actress from the Librarians. For Echo, I imagine a less robotic version of Maika the Vocaloid for her. It's a bit weird, because Echo looks like Luka in The Vampire's Servant. XD

-

- Originally, Lamia was supposed to find Echo's iPad when she leaves the story (her healing scene was different, as she spends a week or two in (Y/N)'s room). Lamia then holds Echo's iPad hostage until Echo returns.... Only to steal her 3DS.

-

- I'm basically spoiling a part of Warriors of Smash. Oops....

-

- I accidentally made The Vampire's Servant complicated......

-

- Initially, (Y/N)'s route selection affected where Echo went - including if she'll stay with Lamia. I'm not doing that though - but Echo will slip away in all stories and do the same thing.

-

- I actually want to have the readers make more decisions throughout the story. Shall I do so?

-

- I occasionally forget about Azura. I don't mean to though - she's awesome.

-

- I have yet to write the next chapter, but I wrote most of the chapter after that. It's how Echo will leave the story. Technically, there is a scene that explains what she's actually going to do while (Y/N) has to deal with *yet another round of spoilers* and Echo is dropping a lot of references to *spoilers. Sigh.* However, I may not write it because it really doesn't have anything to do with The Vampire's Servant. Echo *could* come back, but it depends on how the next story arc goes and if a character like Echo is needed.

-

- I had to edit these facts to prevent spoilers. I wrote these as I wrote the chapter with Echo.

-

- Technically, (Y/N) doesn't really know what Echo's real name is, as one version of chapter 26 said Isa and the other said Viktoryia Lobo. Technically, they're both right.

- Catarina Teresa Heidi Ursula Linda Honora Urena is Echo's nun name. (I took out the h name and her last name with the u). Take thee first letter of each name and you get CTHULHU. Yes, Echo did that on purpose. Her butler name? Um.... Kenji Faolan? Faolan Kenji? I can't choose between them. Might do Faolan Kenji.... Or not, and make Faolan Kenji his own character.... And then give Echo another butler name that isn't Tanaki or Sebastian...........

Reina: That's the first BTS. Another is coming soon. After that, I will answer the questions....

Would it be better to open a question page and I'll just answer your comments immediately? Or take them and make them into a chapter?
