19. Practice Makes Perfect (Especially for defeating my rival)

Reina: Last chapter in before the "wedding" - and then you'll begin your battle!

Is it bad that I have yet to finish this story but I am already developing a sequel?

Also, I have the Leo in a dress pic done - I hope I drew him super embarrassed....

Leo: That is.... Why. Why did you draw that?

Reina: Because I could. And hey, I could have drawn you as a nun.

Leo: ......

Reina: Onto the story! And I will hopefully have Takumi as a nun drawn soon!

You woke up in a bad mood.

Yes, Lamia did help you come up with ideas on defeating Leora. But when you woke up, you remembered that Cora had given you one of your own sleeping potions to make you fall asleep.

"Argh....." You mutter. You crawled out of bed and put on your maid's dress. As you were tying the bow, Cora walked in.

"Morning, (Y/N)!"

"Why did you give me a sleeping potion?" You ask tiredly.

Cora shifted from side to side nervously. "I'm sorry... It's just... You were super stressed out, and I didn't want you to do something irrational."

"Oh..." You reply. You grab the dagger that Leo had given you and put it on your garter.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm going to practice killing Leora," you reply casually as you look in the mirror and put your headband on.

"What?"

"She's going to kill Leo," you reply.

"Why? Why would she do that?"

"I don't know."

You look in the mirror one last time, only to see your reflection looking away from Cora.

"Huh?"

Your reflection looked up at you and copied your pose. You blink, and your reflection winked and blew you a kiss.

"Did you... Enchant your reflection?" Cora asks innocently.

"No..." You mutter.

You reach out and flip the mirror around so that you couldn't see it. "There....."

"That doesn't solve anything," Cora replied.

"No, it doesn't. But I won't have to see it."

Cora face palmed.

You walk out the room. "I'm going to talk with Azura."

"Good luck..."

----

Six hours later, you stagger back to your room. You practiced non-stop dancing, and came up with a routine that will expose Leora for who she was. You, Azura, and Laslow would dance while Azura sang, and when Leora entered the room, Cori would take the naginata and use it to close the door so that no one escape. As soon as that happened, you would take a necklace (filled with a potion) and throw it at Leora, which would restrain her and force her to speak the truth.

And hopefully...

You could kill her.

If you failed....

There was always using the Sigma potion to bring Lamia forth.

I don't know why that isn't Plan A, Lamia hissed.

"It was Azura's idea," you reply aloud as you entered your room. "It might be too risky if you suddenly appeared and beheaded Leora."

Lamia grumbled but kept quiet. You take off your maid dress and throw it on the ground before noticing the dress on your bed. You approach it and read the note attached:

This dress is for the wedding. It's perfect for dancing and stabbing people. You'll have to thank Jakob for that.

- Cori

You smile as you hold the dress up. It was a bit frilly, but in (your favorite color). You inspect it and notice that you can take the skirt off, but there was a pair of slacks underneath with a knife holster.

Thank you Cori, you think happily.

After putting the Constraining Potion into a vial necklace, you put your pajamas on and lay down, ready to sleep.

Get ready to die, Leora.

Reina: This is merely a bridging chapter to the wedding. That should be up soon as well.

I was going to have Echo or Lamia talk at the end of this chapter, but it would have entailed many spoilers.
