Y/n watches the as the grandmaster of the order of the Sun Maw walks past his hiding spot.  A dark room hides Y/n from his eyes.

Y/n appears from the darkness as the grandmaster can feel Y/n's eyes on him.

He says nothing as he slowly unsheaths his sword.

Y/n: Don't.

Arwin: You sneak behind me. And ask me not to defend myself?

Y/n: I haven't harmed you. You'd be the aggressor in this confrontation.

Arwin: Any confrontation with a vampire is dangerous in my line of work

Y/n: I know. But I also know that you aren't here to just observe. You have a mark that you want. Who?

Arwin: How do you know that it is not you?

Y/n: If it was, we wouldn't be having this conversation.  I would've been gone like the wind.

Arwin: You wouldn't kill me?

Y/n: I have reasons not to. But since you are here, I am assuming a vampire is involved.

Arwin: You are half correct. We believe that the vampire in question is being aided by a siren.

Y/n: Siren? It's a bit far from their territory. Does the Kraken blooded order know one of their creatures is here?

Arwin: No. But the Kraken bloods are busy at sea battling the creatures of the deep. They have little time for land operations. And since a vampire aids them, it is up to the Sun Maw.

Y/n: Well then. I will find your siren. I'll be in touch.

Arwin: You'll help me? Why?

Y/n: I have people I want to protect. Is that not enough?

Arwin: I suppose that would be a reason to assist me.  But what kind of a person earns a vampire's protection?

Y/n: That is none of your concern.

Arwin: Why wouldn't it be? A vampire stalks Beacon, claiming to be protecting someone. That in itself is suspicious.

Y/n: Just know that I will do anything to defend them.

Suddenly a war cry can be heard. Y/n uses his instincts to dash backwards. 

A yellow slash launches past where Y/n was. Y/n turns towards the direction the slash came from to see a knight of the Sun Maw charging him.

Arwin: Misae! Wait!

Misae attempts to launch another light slash towards Y/n. But Y/n dashes towards him and with great speed ends up behind Misae.

With one strike with the back of his bludgeon, he knocks Misae to the ground.

Misae rolls away and gets up, ready to fight again.

Arwin: ENOUGH!

Misae: But grandmaster! That's a vampire!

Arwin: Maybe so. But this one is not our foe. This wishes to aid us.

Misae: What?! We can't trust this blood sucker!

Y/n puts his weapon away.

Y/n: That tends to be true.

Arwin: The siren we are looking for. We don't know her identity.

Y/n: Maybe so. But I can smell her blood. However I will need to get close to identity the smell.

Arwin: Very well. If you manage it. Please inform us.

Y/n: I will. And if you find the vampire, inform me. I believe this is bigger than you think.

Arwin: How so?

Y/n: Vampires and sirens. That's an unusual combination. Plus I found a dead necromancer some time ago.

Arwin: Necromancer's? I thought that art was gone.

Y/n: I did too. I tried to kill it after all.

Misae: What? Why would a vampire want to stop their most powerful magic?

Y/n: Because the world is not so simple. To assume all are evil because we must feed on blood, is evil.  There are many that didn't choose this. But many that do.   Necromancy is a vile thing that deserve to be eradicated.

Arwin: I see your point.

Y/n: I will keep in touch.

Y/n turns into a bat and flys away.

Misae: Do we trust him?

Arwin: I believe we can. He could have killed us if he wanted to.  But he didn't. However I do want to know who it is, that he is protecting.

Misae: I will see what I can find.

Arwin: Effort is appreciated. But I don't expect results.

Misae nods.

Arwin: Make sure the twins are ready as well. If the vampire is right. There might be more at work here then we originally thought.

Y/n flys atop of Beacon and looks down. He ponders his next move.  There are many people in Beacon. Getting close is dangerous and he wants to remain hidden. However if Ozpin is made aware of the siren, Arwin might not like that Y/n shared this information.

But considering the lack of options. This seems to be the best course of action. It will have to wait until the morning.  For now he will try and find the vampire that the siren is working with.
