   Adam's​ special power is giving him sleepless nights (and days as well)... Will Sam find a cure for this? Or are new problems awaiting her?

Samira's POV

        "How can this be possible? Adam was here all the time... From the time you left till you returned. You must have mistaken someone else for Adam."

        " No no no... It was him...". I was sure that I had seen Adam few kilometres away from ambassy. But Elle is saying me it's impossible because he was repairing her laptop & then my mom got them some blood to drink.

          "You were hurrying to return home........ And more over it was dark outside. I know our night vision is excellent but sometimes it can happen that you..." I cut off Elle half way, "Oh shit!"

             If this new theory that has suddenly popped up in my mind is true, I don't even want to imagine what destructive storm is about to hit us.

             "What? You are scaring me! Speak up Sam!". Elle was panicking now... She gets worked up too soon. My soft hearted silly Elle.

               "Shapeshifters...". Before i could finish saying this word, colour from Elle's face drained. Yes these notorious creatures can scare the day light out of you... Trust me!

                 These supernatural species are not blessed with much of special powers, but with whatever little they possess these rascals can cause hell lot of destruction.

               They can take form of any supernatural species and humans, a bit of weak magic and creating illusions which can distract others for a short period of time.

               "But the witches had cast spell to keep them away from our coven right? And they check it at regular intervals to see if it's effectiveness has reduced... Then how can those morons enter our territory?".

               "I know Elle. Last time I remember when their king had come here for council meeting, it was a red alert situation! Witches worked for almost 2 months to find all possible cures and precautions so that he or other shapeshifters accompanying him don't try to mess around......  Poor witches!" I sighed.

              "I'll speak to John about this... Come on Elle we need to get to the training ground."

              "Will John be able to do something? I mean if something like this has happened, witches might have already informed him. Their spell would have been weakened for shapeshifters to enter our territory."

                Elle was right, but I need to discuss this matter with John first before speaking to dad. And the findings in library were of not much help, just the basic information about the origin of supernaturals, their family tree, powers, history, all the battles fought and other general information.

                I'll have to make few more rounds to library maybe​  check the restricted section directly next time and I'll make sure to take Elle along with me.

                Hurriedly Elle changed from her pretty short dress to a peach pullover & denim pants, few to her clothes are always stocked up in my wardrobe... We have sleepover at my place atleast 2-3 times a month!

                I changed from my night suit to a similar attire... Black pullover & denim pants. I had recently chopped off my curly black tresses to short so I just left it open. Elle had already tied her hair into a chic fishtail braid.

                 "Why are you taking our training clothes along?" asked Elle giving me a puzzled look. "You know how strict John is about training... You have missed one week of training & I have missed one day of it".

                 "Come on Sam we are going to discuss an important matter with him. He is the first person whom witches would have informed & alerted to tighten the security. And if the power of spell hasn't weakened or faded, then we are in deep trouble. Entry of shapeshifters in our coven is just the beginning... Tip of the iceberg."

                   "You are right Elle but I've already packed all necessary stuff just in case we need something". Closing the zip of bag-pack, I hung it over my shoulder.

                    "Sam have you noticed something?" asked Elle as I closed the door of my room. While rushing down the stairs I informed mom that we are going for training and will be back soon.

                    "What? Is there something that is wrong and I haven't noticed it? Oh my goodness as if there aren't enough stuff to deal with...." I started​ panicking and forgot we were still at home. It was only after Elle put her hand on my mouth to shut it that I realised... How stupid of me!

                    "Wrong? What's wrong dear?". Mom came out of kitchen, I looked at Elle while she narrowed her khol lined blue eyes at me.

                     "Oh! Aunt Jane my watch... Something is wrong with my watch that I recently purchased. We'll get it repaired on our way back home".

"Okay girls but don't be late".

"Yes mom! See you later...".  

  "Bye aunt Jane!". Saying this Elle pulled me out and closed the door behind us.

                     "Sam you........" before Elle could complete her rant I cut short it, " Sorry sorry okay now tell me what have you noticed that I haven't?".

                    "O yes! About that... Have you looked at yourself? You look stronger, your hair appears shinier, skin is literally glowing! And you have a new spark in your eyes!".

                   "Have you by any chance been signed as brand ambassador of some  brand of beauty products? Or vitamin supplements? I won't be surprised... You are beautiful! But that doesn't mean you start your practice without warning!".

             "Shut up Sam! When we get back home, see for yourself". With this we made our way to the training ground.

             On our way to training ground, I could feel someone's presence behind us. I turned back several times, even asked Elle if she could feel it. She shut me up by saying I was hallucinating! Yes!

            For a change we were walking, like humans and weren't traveling with our super famous vampire speed. Admiring the mesmerizing beauty that this place was blessed with, we decided that we will take such long walks more often!

             It's a refreshing change from our fast paced lives where we are always chasing something or the other.

             Soon we reached the training ground and there was John, motivating the younger lot to train harder so that they can kick their enemy's ass!!!

            "Hey John!". John turned around and waved at us, flashing his million dollar smile! Looking at his handsome features and charming personality, it's hard to imagine him as a brutal, ruthless warrior.

             We waved back to him. Through mind-link I requested him to come at the office that was situated on other corner of the training ground.

              Training ground was situated in interior of our coven, what humans think is a more modernized village near the forest!

            Since training ground was in interior, humans did not know about it's location as they did not have access to interior part of our coven. Whatever our interaction with humans, was done​ on the outskirts of our village.

         This office was situated in one of the several rooms of the  two storey bungalow which was spread out on a large portion of the training ground. This bungalow was actually the store house of several weapons and also the hospital of our coven was in this bungalow.

           Now you understand why John's office is here!

     While we were waiting in his cabin, and making our plans to visit the near by city to get few stuffs like make-up, few dresses and food John made his entry.

         "John without wasting time I'll get straight to the point. Since yesterday I have seen and felt some strange events happening..." But before I could complete saying everything, John already gave us the answers we were seeking....

           "Shapeshifters" said John with worried expression. While my eyes almost popped out of the socket, Elle choked on the water she was drinking.
