War with the Turks

Weeks had passed since the Turks warned my father. I was furious with him when I had found out about his refusal. "Father! this will lead us to war!" I yelled. My father turned to look at me. "I know Mirena, but what choice do I have. I must protect our people I will not send them to be killed in battle. I shall fight them myself." he said. I shook my head. "Fight them yourself?! one thousand men! it's impossible to defeat an army of such size. Allow me to rally the men and fight alongside you." I said. My father placed his hand on my shoulder. He sighed. "My daughter, you are indeed very strong and an excellent fighter. but you must trust me. understand?" he said. I had no choice but to nod. "Yes." I replied. He smiled. "Good, now get our people out of Wallachia bring them to your brothers castle in the north. They will be save there. keep everyone safe, including your mother." he ordered. I nodded and left immediately.

Hours later I was leading my people through the woods as we made the journey north to my brothers kingdom in the north, way outside both our borders and the Turks. I heard the sound of the Turks cannons as they hit the walls of the castle, each blow breaking the walls and bringing it to ruin. I couldn't stand to see my home fall to pieces. My mother approached me and placed a hand on my shoulder. I knew she had felt the same. "Come on Mirena, we must continue on." she said. I nodded and followed her. Not even a minute had passed when I heard one of the villagers scream. My eyes darted to one of the villagers pointing to a group of Turkish scouts coming after us. I gasped. "Mother! Stay with villagers!" I ordered. She nodded. "Go!" she said. I drew my sword and ran after the Turks. who had charged after me. I fought every last one of them. Before I could kill the last one it fled in the direction of Castle Dracula. I ran full speed after him.

I stopped in the center of the woods only to see that he was dead. I was confused. "What the hell?" I whispered. Suddenly I heard a noise come from the east, I held my sword tight and prepared for what was coming for me. To my surprise It was my father. I sighed and sheathed my sword. I began to walk up to him and he ran at me and embraced me. "Thank god your alright." he said. I sighed and let go. "Father, our people are safe including mother. Ingeras will shelter all of them." I said. my father placed his hand on my cheek. "I am so proud of you, my brave soldier, my daughter." he said. I fought my own tears. We embraced again. It lasted for what seemed an eternity. "Now come, we must join with the others." he said. I agreed. We walked towards my brothers village were we would all be safe, for now.
