Claire's POV

"Evan! Snap out of it!" I shook him vigorously but to no avail. Evan didn't seem to budge.

Daniel and Ariel had also come to check out what the commotion held was about. I started moving to and fro holding my head.

I don't understand what to do and if I don't do something fast, then Evan would be out of control.

The royals are gifted with certain affinities which are to be kept secret until there's an emergency.

Evan has the power of dark energy. But the problem is, his dark energy is so powerful that it can drive him crazy if not in control for a long time. And that long time is probably one or two days. One or Two days, is all it takes for him to become insane.

I dont know what made him lose control all of a sudden when he was so happy yesterday after knowing about Elina being his mate.

Elina...

Now that realise, I haven't seen her since yesterday. She isn't present here as well. I am sure Evan loosing control is somehow related to Elina and the mate bond. But first, I need to make Evan controllable. I stop as an idea pops in my head.

I rushed to my room as Stephen and Olivia trailed behind in tow while Daniel and Ariel stayed with a fessed up Evan.

The moment I entered my bedchambers, I started throwing books from the book shelf--at the corner of the room--searching for the switch. It has to be somewhere in there...

"Clara, what are yo-" before Stephen could finish, I pressed the hidden button--which I finally found--at the interior of the bookshelf as the entire shelf slid to the side revealing a sparsely lit room.

In the middle of the room was a huge wooden cabinet containing small glass bottles filled with potions and various types of Grimores (spell books).

"Wow! You have a secret room!" Stephen said astonished as I strode inside the room while the two followed me.

I picked two bottles from the shelf and started mixing the contents in a container chanting a spell.

"Woah, you have all these witchy stuff hidden over here. Now I understand why I could never find them." Stephen said, "All this while there is a secret room and you didn't tell me...."

He rambled on and on and I was totally getting pissed of 'cause I wasn't able to focus on the spell and Evan was on the verge of going insane.

"Shut up, Stephen! I am trying to focus! Olivia, can you take him out of here?" She nodded, dragging a resisting Stephen out of the room. Olivia looked sad or maybe I was just assuming it.

Looking down at the container--in which I have just mixed the two potions--I saw the color of the liquid had changed into a texture of purple. Perfect. I poured the potion in an empty glass bottle.

Shutting back the secret room, I exited out of my chambers.

As I reached to Evan's study where the others were--including a power consumed Evan--I quickly went up to him. Forcing his mouth open, I poured the purple liquid into his mouth. Good that he didn't resist. Perks of his starting period of loosing control.

The black winds around him decreased before eventually disapearing. Evan's eyes started turning back to its red-brown colour and the veins on his face disapeared as well. He looked in control.

Though, I am pretty sure it won't last for long. The spell in the potion just immobilised his powers for about an hour.

"Hey, man. What happened to you?" Daniel placed his hand on Evan's shoulder while Evan just stared at him blankly.

"Actually Danny, he's not entirely in control. He's okay for an hour before he loses control again." I say, "Witches can't wear off dark energy without praticing black magic and you know I can't do that. It's against her laws. Besides it can turn me evil."

Everyone's eyes widened except Stephen who had a sad face. I know he knows that part of my powers are weak because I lost Jacob.

I wanted to sob in wallow at that but refrained from doing so.

Yes, I lost Jacob. I lost my mate. He is dead. My child is dead. I even lost some of my powers. But I have to be strong. For Evan. For my brothers.

"Are you okay, Claire?" Daniel asked placing his hand on my shoulder. I smiled, nodding.

"What do we do now? I mean, how do we we keep Evan in control then?" Ariel asked looking worried.

I have thought about it.

The only conclusion I have come up with is that,

The only person who can overpower Evan's dark powers is her.

The Ultimate Queen.

Mellisa Castellejo. The queen of all supernaturals. The first ever cross breed accepted by the witches.

She's a Vampire/Lycan/Witch/Siren crossbreed. It is also said that she's blessed by an angel princess.

Mellisa is said to be one of the most beautiful woman in the planet. Maybe it's because she's a part siren. But behind that beautiful face lies the most powerful supernatural in existence.

Saying I am an ancient in front of her would be an understatement. She's much more older than me. She's 900 years old. That means almost a millenia years old.

I know she can keep Evan in control. She had did it before.

"Mellisa. We need to link her." I replied looking at everyone.

"And how do you think you can link the hottie?" We all looked at Stephen weirdly. "What? Lisa is hot!"

Sure, Lisa is hot and gorgeous but saying it out loud at this situation... lets just say only Stephen can do that.

"Since Daniel, Evan and I, all of us are present, we can link her through the...uh...linking triangle." I informed not knowing what exactly to name the triangle.

Since we are the royals which will be included in a prophecy that will take place after two hundred years, we have direct link with Mellisa or Lisa through the triangle.

"Okay, then. Let's do it." Daniel steps forward, "By the way, where's Elina?" He looks at Stephen and Olivia.

Stephen open his mouth to say something then closes. It seems he wants to say something. Though, Olivia does it for him.

"She's missing." Olivia says, "We came to know in the morning while we were talking with Evan and then suddenly....black smoke starts swivelling him."

Now, I understand why Evan lost it. The mate bond is triggering his powers.

When I was away from Jacob, my mate, even for a few hours, my powers would weaken but I guess in Evan's case, he loses control.

Daniel was about to speak when interrupted, "He lost control due to the mate bond."

"Mate bond" Stephen tilts his head before his eyes widen as realisation hits him, "Does that mean Elina is-"

"My mate." Evan speaks for the first time as black smoke starts slowly emitting from his clenched fists.

I don't know whether the spell can hold him even for an hour now. We need to find Elina fast.

"Danny, we need to link Lisa asap!" I grab his hand and look at Evan, "Evie, I know you're worried about Elina. Believe me we all are and we want to find her. And to do that, we need your help." I extend my hand while he stares at me blankly before hesitantly placing his palm on mine.

I smile. At least, he's trying.

"Let's start."

Author's POV (continue)

Evan, Daniel and Claire stand forming a triangle as they all close their eyes and repeat Claire's spell words.

The formed triangle starts glowing slowly with the three royals while their eyes remain closed. A very bright light spreads in the room almost making Ariel, Stephen and Olivia blind for a minute.

A figure of a women in her early twenties with glowing blue-green eyes, wavy brunette hair and porcellian white skin starts appearing in the middle of the triangle. The light decreases while Daniel and Claire open their eyes with wide smiles as their queen stands in front of them.

"Hello everyone." An angelic voice--which has the power that makes them all bow their heads--booms in the room.
