"Because you're a vampire."

I didn't want to stab her but I have to kill every vampire, I swore that I would avenge my parents by killing every last vampire so why would I treat Becky any differently. I could see the flames snaking around her skin, sadness and anger building in her eyes as she clutched her side. She raised her hand at me and started to chant some sort of spell but she couldn't complete it and crumbled into Uther's arms.

"You've ruined everything for her Colby! You've killed her!"

Wind started to swirl around them both, suddenly a dark cloud covered them and they were gone. All that was left was a puddle of Becky's blood, I crawled across the floor to where Becky was.

"I'm so sorry..."

The door burst open and I saw Ashley and Mercedes standing in the doorway.

"M go look around, see if there's anyone left."

"Okay."

"Stay close though."

She nodded and walked off, I looked towards the floor and down at Colby.

"What's happened and where's Becky?"

"I stabbed her..."

"You did what?!?"

"Ash I had no choice, she is a vampire lord. I couldn't let her walk free knowing that she is apart of our parents deaths."

"Colby...

I sat on the floor alongside him and pulled him into a light hug, then I started to think. She's a vampire lord, wait he's fucking stabbed a light lord.

"Wait where is she now?"

"The other vampire lord took her away, because if she dies then they all die."

"Colby..."

"What?"

"I'm sorry, why did you stab her! Yes she was a vampire lord but she was a light one! She could've helped us to turn this all around, she could've been the key to stop all this evil and you stabbed her! Every single vampire will hate us now, I wasn't mad at first and now I've realised the extent of what you have done! Your actions have consequences Colby, maybe think about that once in a while!"

"I had too!"

"No, no you didn't. Becky was our friend, it would have been easy to stop the world from being taken over by vampires with her at our side."

"I couldn't let her walk free!"

"Yes you could've but you chose not to! You are actually unbelievable sometimes!"

I walked out of the room and downstairs, I was met by a police officer and his dog.

"Uh excuse me."

"Oh I'm Detective Joe Anoa'i, I'm just asking people on site a few questions about what happened! Do you happen to know anything?"

"Um I was at my office when I got a few calls from around here saying they spotted a few vampires so I came to check it out. The ground started to shake so we walked over to that building as all the glass windows shattered."

"And what's your name?"

"Oh I'm Ashley Fliehr, I'm a vampire hunter."

"Right thank you for your statement, I'll be in touch if I need any more information."

Becky
I moved a little just to have Uther push me down.

"Don't move, you'll only hurt yourself."

My side hurts so badly, I can't believe Colby would do this to me. It's not even just my side that hurts now, it's my heart too.

"You'll be okay, I'm not going to let you die. Not now, not ever. I'll always look after you."
