Damon Salvatore

The bass of Stand By Me was playing in the background while Damon and I were kissing. When the lyrics started, he lifted my eyes to look at his.

"Look at that," He mumbled to where I could barely hear. "You aren't hungry."

He smiled. I kissed him again and again. The song picked up and sang the chorus. He used his vampire speed to speed me against the wall and he started kissing even more. Just then, the door swung open, it was Elijah.

"I asked you to help her not sleep with her," He said.

"Right," Damon teased sarcastically. "I forgot you controlled my life."

"Don't make me compel you," He threatened.

"Back off, brother." I said. "He is helping."

"Right," He speeded up to me. "Remember, you're never done early, sister."

"I know that."

"Come with me. Klaus wants to see you."

"He does?"

"He does," Elijah's eyes met mine in a dangerous graze. "Do not tempt him. He is still very angry about what you did to our mother."

Elijah began to walk out the door. I interrupted him on the way out.

"Elijah, wait." I said. He just paused at the door, but didn't look back. "I had to. She was going to kill us all. God knows you didn't deserve it. Please understand, brother."

He stood there for a moment before walking away. I looked down, Damon came up to me and tried to comfort me. I just pushed him away and started to follow Elijah to Klaus.

Niklaus Mikaelson

After I kissed him, I started to feel extremely tired and . . .

Hungry.

"What is it, love?" He said.

"I'm . . . starving." I said.

"Oh, yes." He sat up even farther on the couch and then reach to grab something from behind him. "You need blood, darling."

"Excuse me?"

"You are a vampire now. Well, you're in the transition."

"I don't want to be a vampire."

"I know, darling. But being a vampire does have it's perks," He said dangling the bag in front of my eyes.

"Klaus, I can't."

"Don't make me compel, little darling." He said, almost threatening.

"Klaus, please don't make me. Please."

"I can't live without you, love."

"I can't become a vampire. I love being a human. I-"

The next thing I knew, the bag was shoved in my mouth and the delicious blood was rushing down my throat. After the bag was gone, I quickly got off the couch and stared at him with blunt anger.

"Klaus!" I paused. "How could you?"

"Sorry, love. But you need to be alive."

"Why? So I can be with you?"

I started crying, realizing that what was once my normal amazing life, was gone. Klaus got up and hugged me tightly.

"I'm here for you, love. Through every ugly step of the process to becoming a vampire. Through all the greatness of becoming a vampire. And even the thousands of years we will live together. All the places we'll see," He lifted my eyes to meet his. "All the memories we'll make."

"Klaus,"

"Well, darling, you have to get to school, but not without a daylight ring." He handed me a beautiful ring with a blue gem.

"Klaus, it's beautiful."

"I had it made last night," He slid the ring on my left index finger.

"Thank you."

"It's no trouble, really." He gave a genuine smile. "I'll take you to school,"

"Ok, but after that, you seriously have to go for awhile. I want to at least have a chance to get use to this on my own,"

"Very well, love."

I followed him out the door.

Elijah Mikaelson

"I'm not really seeing the point of this, Eli." I said, staring off into the sunrise standing on the top of a waterfall.

"I'm helping you to be a vampire. Being a vampire isn't always terrible," He looked at me. "I want you to see that,"

"Right,"

I stared nervously at the water. He saw how nervous I was and took my hand.

"When you're a vampire, all your emotions are heightened. Everything you felt before, you now feel even more. Although the impulses feel amazing, some emotions can be rather overwhelming." He said. "Such as fear."

I looked into his eyes waiting for him to say the next thing. He closed both of his hands around my right hand.

"Take everything you're feeling, channel it onto one thing. Wether that be love or happiness. It can sometimes help with how overwhelming it can be."

I closed my eyes and did exactly what he said. I channeled all my energy onto one thing, happiness. I made sure that I knew exactly what I was happy about and that was, Elijah.

"Thank you, Eli."

"Anytime," He paused and let go of my hand. "Now, I want you, with all of your strength, to run to that tree over there,"

He pointed to a tree in the distance. I nodded, focused and did just that. It was like everything else was in slow motion. It felt amazing. Elijah speeded after me.

"How did that feel?"

"Amazing! Elijah it felt, amazing!" I smiled and laughed with joy.

"Alright now," He smiled. "I want you to jump off the cliff with me,"

"What?" I got worried.

"Don't worry. Do you trust me?"

"Yes,"

"Then this shouldn't be a problem," He smiled again.

I reluctantly nodded and took his hand.

"One, Two, Three,"

On his count, we jumped off the cliff. When I landed, it felt like landing on a pillow. I laughed with joy and kissed Elijah. He kissed me back.

"Glad you enjoyed it, dear." He hugged me tightly.
