Imagine babysitting with Jeremy
When your aunt asked for you to babysit her three kids, you weren't prepared for what would come. You had handled children, and those three before, but the night was going to be quite eventful. You didn't mind some money though, so you agreed to watch the two boys and one girl while their mother would go out with some friends, thinking it was going to be easy money and fun to spend some time with your cousins, but oh how wrong you were.
"Just call me if something goes wrong. But I'm sure you can handle these three with no problem whatsoever, since you're so smart and everything. Have fun, you guys! I'll be back by midnight", your aunt explained, and after giving you all hugs, she left the house, closing the door behind her. So you were left with two boys at the age of six, and one girl at the age of four, and you felt your hands becoming sweaty at the thought of what could only happen by midnight.
Your brother, Matt, had told you that if you needed help though, you should call him. There was no need to interrupt your precious aunt, when your brother was so near. His exact words were, "Call me, if you need a hand. But do not call Jeremy, Y/N, you hear me? Call me."
You and Jeremy had hooked up, maybe once or twice, when Matt was out of town, but he had caught you two and to make things simply, did not enjoy the idea of his sister and his best friend having a sexual relationship. So he did his everything to keep you away from the Gilbert boy, but it didn't stop you from feeling attracted to him. He was handsome, and smart and funny, and everything you wished for. A part of you was suspecting that you had a crush, or maybe something more, but Matt tried to keep you away from those thoughts.
"I'm hungry, Y/N!", one of the boys, Robert pouted, and you took him in your arms. For a six-year old, he was quite small, and you didn't mind carrying him from room to room. You walked to the kitchen, and put him on the table, before looking through the room for something quick to eat, since they had already had their dinner. Robert's siblings, Chris and Scarlett swiftly followed, and found their way on the table, while you asked what they would like to eat.
"Ice cream!", Chris squealed, and Robert nodded his head, agreeing with his brother, but your thoughts didn't collide with theirs. It was too late for them to ice cream according to their mother, who also told you too keep the kids away from candy or anything that could give them an energy boost. You groaned, and bit your lip, not wanting to disappoint the children and make them cry or yell, but you couldn't do exactly what you were told not to.
"Sorry pal, but no ice cream tonight. How about some yoghurt, or cereal, though? Or fruit? I could make you some fruit salad. I heard Scarlett here loves it", you said, and just as expected, the boys started to yell unhappily. Chris, as the younger one, started to weep and loudly sobbed while Robert banged his fists against the table. Scarlett just followed from aside, shaking her head and giving you a sad look.
"I'd love fruit salad, Y/N", she said quietly, and flashed you an adorable smile, managing to melt your heart as you walked to the three and returned the smile. You promised to make some, before turning to the boys, and taking them both in your arms, trying to calm them down.
"Christ, boys. Fruit salad is delicious! It's healthy too. You can have ice cream tomorrow, I promise, if you promise to calm down and eat what I make for you", you planned, and they both stopped crying like it was cut with a knife. You broke into a grin, and they shuffled uncomfortably, not wanting to say yes, but agreed to your idea eventually. Victoriously smiling, you put Chris and Robert down and told them to go play.
You started to take out the stuff for the fruit salad, and only when you were about to start, you noticed Scarlett tugging on your shirt. You looked down at the small girl with adorable curls, and asked if she'd like to help you, and damn right she did. She pushed a chair against the counter, and climbed up to be on your level, adoring your way to cut the fruit so quickly.
"Y/N, can I try?", Scarlett asked, and pointed at the sharp knife. You swallowed, and knew that the best thing would to be to say no, but instead, you decided to help Scarlett, and slice a banana with her. You held her hand, which held the knife, and guided her with the slicing, and it went really well, until you heard a loud shout from the boys' room.
"Y/N! Help!", you heard Chris scream, and you groaned, running towards the room in panic, but only then you understood that you had left Scarlett with the knife and she had already managed to cut herself. You returned to her, and grimaced when you saw a cut, a small one luckily, but a cut nevertheless, bleeding on her finger, and felt your heart breaking when Scarlett began crying. You sighed, and took the girl in your arms, and told her to hold the finger, as you rushed to the boys' room where you found Robert on top of Chris, wrestling and fighting with their little fists swinging in the air. And poor Chris was terribly losing.
In that moment, you understood that you could not survive the night all by yourself. After putting a band-aid on Scarlett's finger, and calming down the brothers and making them read books in different rooms, you called Matt. But he didn't answer. Typical Matt. But just because he didn't answer, it didn't mean you had no one to call - you picked Jeremy's number although Matt told you to not call him.
"Y/N? Is everything alright?", Jeremy asked when he had picked up the call, and you yelled a no over the noise that had once again erupted in the house. The boys were fighting again, and brought Scarlett to it, which ended up with her band-aid dropping and more blood leaking from the tiny cut on her finger.
"No, nothing is fu-freaking alright, Jeremy! I'm taking care of my cousins and it's hell! You need to come help me, right now", you begged, and told him the address. Before he even answered, he hung up, and you smiled, knowing he was already on his way.
Fifteen minutes, three band-aids, and four fights between Robert and Chris later, Jeremy finally arrived and he felt like walking into a zoo as he entered the house. You gasped, and yelled in relief before running into his arms, now being the one who needed the hug. And badly.
Jeremy's jaw dropped, and his eyes widened as he looked at the sight. The floor was covered in toys and books, there was a mess in the kitchen, the boys were jumping on couches with paint all over their faces and toy weapons in their hands, while Scarlett cried on the floor with a princess dress on and your bag at her feet, the insides scattered on the carpet.
"Woah, when you said it was bad-- this is not what I expected. Okay, let's get this situation handled", Jeremy decided. "HEY KIDS!", he yelled, "The first one who sits down gets to choose a movie!"
Chris slumped down, blonde hair spinning as he fell onto the couch with a thud, victoriously shouting as he understood he was the first one to sit. Robert pulled his dark hair in frustration, and his brown eyes glared at his slightly younger brother before sitting down as well. Scarlett stopped crying, and climbed onto the couch too, all of them now in a quiet row. Jeremy had impressed you, and it wasn't even over yet.
"Okay, Chris, pick a movie", he smiled, and Chris did as was told, while you collected your bag from the floor and cleaned up some toys. Jeremy put Toy Story on for them, and the kids put all of their attention to it, while the Gilbert boy walked to you and wrapped his arms around your exhausted body.
"I was about to make some fruit salad. Would you so kindly stay with the children and clean up the floor, and just make sure they don't move while I finish in the kitchen?", you asked, and smiled when Jeremy nodded. You swiftly kissed his cheek, and then walked to the kitchen, where you finished the fruit salad, and then cleaned up the counters and the floor. At seven, the children started to be tired, so you gave them their salads, and they nicely ate all of it before brushing their teeth and putting on their night clothes.
By nine, the five of you were on the couch, with dozens of stuffed animals, and the TV still on where Disney movies played, though all of you were asleep. You were resting your head on Jeremy's chest, and Scarlett was on your arms, while the boys were on Jeremy, perfectly. You were all warm, and happy, and tired and you knew it was going to be the best sleep of your life.

"I'M HERE-- Well fuck."
This was Matt when he finally at ten in the evening ran through the front door, ready to help you out, but then noticed you and Jeremy on the couch with the kids. He groaned, he didn't want you two to date, but it seemed like there was nothing he could do. So he just broke into a smile, and left the house, knowing his help was no longer needed.
He managed to wake you and Jeremy up, though, and there you were then, staring into each other's eyes happily.
"Thank you", you whispered with a smile. He grabbed your hand, and pressed a kiss on the top of your head. "I appreciate you coming over. I don't know how I would have survived without you", you continued, and pressed your head on his shoulder again, enjoying the comfort and love he radiated with.
"No big deal, babe. And after all, I am pretty talented with, you know, everything. Seriously though, I love kids. Maybe some day... We could... You know...", Jeremy whispered, blushing hard. You giggled as quietly as possible, and nodded, knowing exactly what he meant.
"Maybe some day, Gilbert."

In the morning, the kids wanted ice cream. And Jeremy gave them. You were still asleep on the couch, and your aunt was sleeping upstairs, too, so Jeremy had decided to feed the children and keep them happy in the meanwhile. He read books for them, gave them tons of ice cream, played games with them and finally, when you woke up, you found him outside with them, with paint on his face and feathers in his hair, while in his hands was a bow and arrows.
You giggled while looking at him, and the kids in matching looks, and didn't even notice your aunt walking to you. Only when she spoke up, you noticed her, and couldn't help but continue to smile.
"Cute, your boyfriend, I mean. You two seem like the perfect couple", she told you, and succeeded on turning your cheeks pink. You were about to disagree, tell him how the two of you were not dating, but then you happened to glance at the boy in the yard, playing with the kids and acting like a total fool, but a lovable one, and you realized that you loved him.
"Yeah", you said with a smile, "he is cute."
Your boyfriend, you mean.
