so i just kind of found out that the limit of chapters in one book is 200 but this book has 212 and that is probably causing some of the trouble i've been having. i can't edit the descriptions of this or the first preference book (both have over 200 chapters) but i can do it with the two that have under 200. i also can't change the order of these imagines or anything and that's why the tags are showing up as the most recent chapters,, but even if i deleted them this book will still go over two hundred. so this is kind of a problem, but i really don't want to make a third book so let's hope this will work out just fine !! i have no idea what to do so i'll just roll with this and pretend like this problem doesn't exist and pray that it will end well omg
i combined two requests here and that kinds of explains why this is almost 4000 words. oops. aND THIS BOOK IS SO CLOSE TO ONE MILLION WTF IM ABOUT TO CRY

Imagine Klaus hurting you and later he tries to make it up to you ++ Imagine Klaus coming home drunk and biting you, and after he has left, you call your best friend Kol who comes to comfort you until Klaus returns
It was true that even the best, strongest relationships had its downhills, and you and your marriage of three years with Niklaus Mikaelson wasn't an exception. For vampires, or in your case, vampire and hybrid, three years wasn't a long time and many said that the first years of marriage were the most golden days. But in your opinion, those years tested you, pushed your limits and you got to know each other from inside out more than ever and that included lots of bickering and arguing, especially for two hotheads like you and him.
You loved him, you did, but he had this habit of annoying you to a point where you went your separate ways for the night, and you were equally frustrating but in the end, you always found each other and solved the tension between you two, which usually ended with different kind of tension and frustration. It wasn't a toxic, unhealthy relationship, if anything it was healthy and natural to fight sometimes instead of being one of those movie marriages where everything is always unicorns and rainbows.
You and him, when angry at each other, created something explosive. And it often ended up blowing up at your hands, right on your faces, and tonight wasn't any different. It had started out simple, you kindly asked for your husband to stay home and stay safe instead of going out and challenging some dumbass vampires, but he disagreed entirely.
"Love, you know I can't leave Elijah on the task alone", he chuckled and cupped your cheek while gazing into your eyes, "I strongly consider him incapable of completing it without me by his side", his words were like smooth silk, sliding from his pink smirking lips and sending chills down your skin, hidden with one of his sweaters as you stood opposite him with a sad pout. You didn't want him to go, but you knew fighting him on the matter would be worthless - yet you did it anyway, You weren't one to give up or back out too easily, not even when it came to your husband.
"No", you protested, making his eyes widen as he took a step back and sighed in disappointment. You both knew it was a fight you'd lose and he'd win, and a fight neither of you were afraid to start. You were easy to cry, but you managed to hide it under the tough shell and lasted for a long time until either one of you would snap and leave the room or even the house.
Klaus covered his face with his palm, and dragged it down along his skin, leaving it at his stubbledchin and rubbing it thoughtfully. With one swift move, he smacked the nearby vase off of the drawer, and it crashed loudly as it hit the floor. The shattered pieces scattered around, finding your feet and you were left staring at them with your mouth open, shocked that he would do such thing. You swallowed, and licked your lips, leaving the lower one between your teeth and biting it harshly while you waited for Klaus' internal bomb to go off and him to lash out, as he was always the one to engage in the yelling. But you weren't afraid of joining and continuing until one of you found their breaking point.
"Why must you always fight back?! I'm a hybrid, I'm the king of the city and everyone with the slightest bit of common sense quivers in their bloody loafers when they hear my name! I am entirely capable of getting rid of some newbie vampires with the lack of respect, and you know that. Don't try to stop me, when we both know...", Klaus yelled and breathed rapidly, "We both know I could stop even my own family if I wanted to." He gave you a powerful gaze, proving that he was indeed the big bad wolf he was known as all over the town and every other, as well.
Ever since he had taken you to New Orleans, and wed you there, he had been feeling the need to rule and be superior. Above everyone else. For months, you dealt with the lust and the want to make everyone kneel before him, but you thought he drew the line with you, yet lately it had seemed like not. He was willing to do anything and everything to sit on the throne, and you were afraid there was only one seat and one crown to be taken.
"Does that include your wife, Nik? Would you stop me too, if I tried to defy you? Like this?", you spoke through gritted teeth and held your fists by your sides, tightly until your knuckles turned white. You trembled with fury, you couldn't believe that your very own husband would do such thing, degrade you like that and treat you as if you didn't mean a thing. But who was the one who stayed with him through thick and thin, supported every insane evil plan, wanted to be the queen to his king and never left his side just because of all the love? You.
"Don't push me", Klaus growled, his eyes burning hot, his skin turning into a shade of red as he grabbed you from your shoulders and smacked you against the wall. Not too harshly, but it still earned a whimper from you as you gasped at the feeling of the wall against your bones and skin. You were closed between the wall and Klaus, and you knew you were beaten, but you still bravely stared into his eyes with fear that you tried to cover and disguise as confidence. But he knew you, you were his wife after all, and he could sense your fear which was why he let you go and disagreed with his villainous, animalistic senses and ideas.
"I'm going. And don't you dare stop me", Klaus spoke, his voice venomous and threatening. He drew his eyes away from you, and you started to breathe properly again as he walked to the front door and opened it. You closed your eyes, causing a tear fall onto your red cheek, and when you looked at the door again, it was already shut and your husband was nowhere to be seen.
That was how you were led into the moment, the present. Where you were sitting on the floor against your couch, tears rolling down on your cheeks as you thought about your future. Would it include Klaus? And if so, would it be a happy marriage? Was getting married to him a mistake after all? You didn't know, and it caused not only concern, but stress and panic in you. You were brave enough to discover the world on your own and find a path where you could walk without Klaus by your side, but you didn't want to. You loved him, and the problem was, you thought he didn't love you.
"Love?", you heard a grunt from the front door as it slowly opened with a creak. It had been hours since he left, and all that time you had spent on the floor, thinking and pondering things you hated to even take under consideration. You wiped your eyes and got up from the floor, not wanting to seem weak but it was hard when you were thinking about losing your husband.
You got up from the floor, and took a few weak steps to meet him at the front door which he struggled to open and close, but with some effort he found his way indoors and shut it. Your eyebrows knitted together and you gave him a disappointed look - you thought he'd come home, ready to talk things through and hug you, kiss you and tell you he was sorry and never wanted to lose you but not quite. His half of a smile was enough to reveal his intoxicated state and it made you sigh unhappily while he stumbled around, his eyes rolling and his body faltering, threatening to collapse at any moment.
"You're drunk", you stated sharply, swallowing your tears and finding the confidence to defy him again. His eyes shot over to you, and you flinched at the murderous look, mixed with both ice cold brutality and burning hot fury. The dark, stone cold look was edged with flames and it was enough to make you shiver, but you still stood behind your words and bit your lip while taking a huge risk and giving him a similar glare. You wanted him to know that although he was the man, and the evil hybrid who caused fear in everyone's hearts, you weren't one of those people he could bounce back and forth. You weren't some doormat to step on, and whether it was Klaus or any other guy, you weren't going to allow them to think so for one second.
Klaus growled and did as he had before he left - grabbed you from your shoulders and smacked you against the wall, except this time he was much more rougher and managed to actually scare you. You had seen this side of him, but he never directed such attitude, behaviour and violence at you. His eyes changed into something much more supernatural, and they glowed while he clearly struggled to hide his fangs under the red lips. You shivered, shocked just because he was being this way towards you and it was something you never wanted or expected to witness.
"Is there a problem?", he hissed, giving you an intimidating look that quite surely made you quiver in your loafers which was an effect he previously stated to have. His voice was thick, and it always revealed if he was drunk and this time wasn't an exception. The overwhelming breeze of booze met your face, and you swallowed with hatred towards everything he was doing and being right now.
"Yes", you confidently replied, definitely intimidated as he aimed for you to be, but not enough to back out. "You're being a dick. You need to stop this, Nik. We need to stop this. Let me go, and we'll talk", you continued, giving him a stern look, hoping it'd go through his thick skull but evidently you were mistaken to even consider such an option.
Klaus shook his head, letting out a light laugh while his eyes landed back on you. "There's nothing to talk about--", he began, only to be interrupted by you, which was a bold move and possibly fatal as well. You argued back, only for his eyes to roll around before he grabbed you by your throat, choking you and giving you a truly infuriated look. That was pretty much your sign to shut up, but instead of doing so, you prayed and begged for mercy which you knew he wasn't one to give easily. Especially when he was drunk, and that was the one thing that caused you to grow worried of your status, whether you'd stand dead or alive at the end of the night. Even if you were his wife.
"Nik, please", you gasped, your voice nearly impossible to hear as you croaked from underneath his hand. You tried to push him away because you knew you were on the tipping point between life and death - the air in your lungs wasn't enough and you felt the sharp pain in your throat, like shards of glass dragging down and making you cry as you tried to fight. But Klaus was evidently stronger and impossible for you to challenge, but just before things got dangerous, he let go.
"You're a vampire", Klaus stated quietly, with all kinds of emotions suddenly gone, vanished from his eyes and his expression and movements. There was nothing, and it was impossible for you to read him which frightened you only more. It was just the cold, blank look in his suddenly too calm eyes, the frozen posture and nothing to understand. And god, it was terrifying.
You stood there, rubbing your sore throat and breathing air rapidly. You wouldn't have died for good, since you were a vampire but that only meant Klaus wasn't afraid of taking things to a whole new level. You wiped your eyes, hoping the tears would go away because you certainly didn't want to look weak and pathetic and fragile, but it was quite impossible to do that. So you just stood there, leaning against the wall and sniffling while giving a somewhat disgusted look to Klaus, who slowly lifted his eyes back to you and shook his head.
"You're a vampire", he repeated, "choking wouldn't even kill you", bringing you some kind of relief but it was too soon to feel that way. He pressed you against the wall again, and his fangs grew out while his eyes glowed and he tilted his head to the side, revealing your neck and giving you a sad look. "But this will", he added simply, before digging his teeth into your flesh, earning a piercing scream from you.
Being choked was nothing compared to this. Your body was failing, you could already feel your system falling apart and your insides slowly dying as his venom ran through your veins, poisoning every inch of your body, not saving anything. You were doomed from that very second, as he pulled his fangs out and the bite on your neck was revealed to his brightly glowing eyes. It was a sick sight, your torn neck and the way it radiated death and how it would clearly end you eventually.
Your entire body ached and you cried out desperately while touching your neck, your fingers sticking to the open wound, making you shiver as you shot Klaus a horrified look. Without a word, he sprinted out of the door and left you alone, sliding against the wall onto your behind where you remained, crying and trying to comprehend the fact that you were dying. All thanks to your husband.
It got out of hand. Full-on crazy. Havoc broke free, hell got loose and it led to this. It was your fault, though not entirely but you had to take some of the blame. While you knew how to be stubborn and strong, you were reasonable and didn't try to run from responsibility. Then there was this side, full of sobs and uncontrollable trembling while breaking apart, this time quite literally. And there was only one thing you knew to do, one person you wanted to reach out to.
Your shaky hands found the phone from the table nearby, and you quickly dialed your best friend's number. Perhaps it was ironic and weird that your best friend was your husband's brother, and would led into a lot of disharmony and conflict one day but that day was not today. You called Kol with tears still flooding from your eyes, and as soon as you heard his comforting, peaceful yet so boyish and sarcastic voice, you broke into a sob mixed with laughter out of the pure joy of hearing him, knowing he was still there.
"Yes, darling?", Kol spoke, clearly grinning as he held the phone against his ear, but you knew that grin would soon fade.
"Kol? Nik-- Nik, he came home drunk and-- Kol, I'm dying", you stuttered out, not sure how to express the situation but before you could say more, he hung up the call and you sighed out in relief, knowing he was already on his way. You dropped the phone, and let your heavy body slide until you were on your back, curled up in a ball and slowly accepting your fate which you didn't know how to run from.
As long as Klaus was drunk and gone, you wouldn't get his blood and you had no clue how long you'd have before the very feared moment would come and swallow you whole.
///
Not too long later, you found yourself on Kol's arms, both of you crying silent tears while hugging each other tightly. He didn't want to let you go, not now nor never, he wasn't ready to lose you and he knew Klaus wasn't either. Even though you had the biggest fight you had ever had, the both of you knew that things you and him said and things you and him did, they were truly deeply regretted. And if Klaus would come home to his brother holding his dead wife, that would break his heart. And knowing he was the one to blame, that would be even worse.
You were in the worst place though. You were sober and you understood and lived every second. You bravely stood against Klaus, argued back and didn't let him push you around but it only got you here, somewhere worse than just a petty argument. You were killed by your own husband. That was just about, in all honesty, as terrible as things could get for anyone ever.
"You'll get through, love. I promise you this. If no other way, I will go and tear Nik's limbs off one by one and make sure you get that goddamned blood. Y/N, I promise", Kol whispered, rocking back and forth on the floor while pressing his lips against your temple. You smiled weakly, your best friend was indeed the best of the best. Ever since you met him, you had liked him. He was the one who introduced you to Klaus, and the one who pushed Klaus into asking you out, and the one who helped Klaus shop for engagement rings.
Maybe Kol always knew that your relationship couldn't have a happy ending because Klaus wasn't one to have happy endings, but he never thought this would be how it all ends.
"Well then, you better hurry", you mumbled and looked up into his eyes as he pressed a washcloth against your pale forehead, covered up with beams of sweat. Kol chuckled, and moved you onto the couch before getting up, and promising to come back soon while walking towards the front door and swinging it open.
He didn't get far. Klaus was right there, outside, at the front door, face full of remorse and regret and cheeks covered in tears. He was clearly sober now, and in the need to talk to you, apologize to you and try to make things right. He offered Kol a friendly smile, but his brother only returned a disgusted look, although nonetheless Kol moved aside and allowed Klaus to enter the house, which he after all lived in. But Kol hoped that he wouldn't for much longer, because he had caused more pain than happiness to you in the years of your marriage.
You sat up on the couch and coughed as you did, but had to do so when you saw Klaus. He gave you an apologetic look, and used his vampire speed to get to you quickly, making you flinch but you eased as he lowered himself to his knees. You swallowed and avoided looking into his eyes while uncomfortably shifting your knees away from his hands and crossing your arms, not wanting to touch him or be touched by him. You gave him a quick, careful glance, and managed to see the pain in his eyes as he had to witness his wife being so afraid of him.
"Here, love", Klaus began, and bit on his wrist, offering you the blood. You knew, and he knew, that even if you wouldn't forgive him you still wanted to live and that was precisely why you grabbed his arm and brought the blood to your lips, tasting it gladly and letting it slide down your throat. In only a matter of seconds, your neck healed, and you felt vibrant and alive once again. And god, you certainly loved it.
"I--I'm so sorry, love. I never meant for it to go this far. I love you, Y/N, I really do even if it lately seems like I don't, but you are my wife and I married you for a reason. And I know, you love me too because you married me", he chuckled and gave you a warm smile which was enough to make you smile carefully as well, though you still didn't look at him. "I vow to never drink again. I vow to love you always and forever, and to never lay a hand on you again. I vow to never do anything to hurt you even remotely. Please, Y/N, would you be so kind to grant me another chance to prove I can be a good husband?", Klaus continued, looking into your eyes as he remained on his knees, tears rising in his eyes and falling onto his pale cheek sand pink lips while trying to reach out that side of you that still loved him.
And yes, there was still a side like that.
"I love you too...", you carefully spoke and slowly looked over to him, locking eyes with him which made him gasp slightly. "I do. And that's why this hurt me even more. We're married, and even though people often joke about stuff like that, we are not supposed to kill each other", you shrugged and chuckled while sliding off of the couch and sitting on Klaus' lap, wrapping your arms around him.
He sighed adoringly, so completely in love, and finally he'd allow that to show and be evident instead of suffocating the admiration and affection he wanted to shower you with. "I love you, Y/N. Very much. And I promise to never hurt you again, in any way, no matter what", Klaus promised and kissed your forehead softly, pulling you into a tight hug.
"I was an idiot too. I'm sorry", you whispered into his ear and made him shake his head. He insisted on being the only one worth the blame, and before giving you time to disagree and protest, Klaus placed his soft lips on yours and pulled you closer to hold you in the loving, caring, fond kiss.
Kol smiled as he watched from the front door, nodding slowly while leaving the house. He, and you, and Klaus too, knew that a happy ending wasn't guaranteed but the ending hadn't come just yet.
You and Klaus still had many years to spend with each other, with a little less blood and screaming and a little more kisses and loving.
