Imagine being pregnant with Kai's baby

  You weren't too sure what was going on in your head when you thought sleeping with a psychotic, homicidal witch would be an excellent idea but it happened anyway. It was a night on which you decided to go to the Grill and just get drunk after a long, exhausting week and somehow you ended up laughing and drinking with Kai who turned out to be way more charming than you knew. With his boyish smirk, eyes that evidently teased you and the goddamned pink, irresistible lips - how were you supposed to not make out with him? And the kisses got heated and it went so far until you were under the sheets in his bed and you couldn't back out anymore, not that you wanted anyway.

  Kai Parker was one hell of a smug, handsome bastard and made it impossible for you to feel like he was bad company. He was perfect. Though you knew the devil hid behind a sexy smile and a body to kill for, you didn't care, because he was just so good. Whatever he did, whatever he said, however he moved and what kind of a look he just happened to direct at you, you loved it and you couldn't bring yourself to regretting the one night with him.

  That was, until you found yourself sitting at the kitchen table, your eyes locked with a positive sign on the pregnancy test you had bought after suspecting a reason to do so. Your hand was against your mouth and for some minutes, if not dozens, you had remained there in the same position, staring at the test that caused unbelievable stress to build up in you until it weighed not only your shoulders but your heart. You felt heavy, you felt hopeless and like a damn fool for sleeping with the man who was most definitely not daddy material.

  Well, not for a child, at least.

  Your trembling hands grabbed the pregnancy test, and you knitted your eyebrows together unhappily while shaking your head in disappointment. You were disappointed in yourself for being such an idiot and having freaking witch sex with a psychotic Parker. "Damn it, Y/N", you groaned to yourself, but forced yourself to stand up and started your way towards the front door. You knew you had to tell Kai, because whether he'd want to participate in raising a child with you or not, he deserved to know. You had learned that sometimes, little white lies didn't hurt anyone but when it was about something as big as this, you had to be honest with whoever was included.

  "Fuck this", you said, and threw away the test before pushing your hands in the pockets of your leather jacket and beginning your way to the Salvatore house where Kai had been hanging out lately. Kicking snow as you walked, you reminded yourself to never have unsafe sex again, especially if you were about to do it with a goddamn villain like Kai. You huffed while rolling your eyes at yourself, somehow struggling to process the fact that there was a baby growing inside of you after a single night with him.

  You had to admit, he was good. Good. And hot, too. Each smirk and look he gave to you, they were breath-taking and the feeling of his warm skin on yours was enough to send your heart out of your chest, boom through the ceiling and burst into tiny bits and pieces. He was an attractive, charming man indeed, but he was also dangerous and dealing with some things you would never want your child to be around or included in so you were uncertain of how things would work out. You didn't want to end the baby's life, but you had no clue how you'd manage parenting by yourself, or how things would go if Kai actually would want to help you.

  But why would he? You and him were a thing for one night. It was good fun, but it was over. Or not really, since it led into this very moment, but there wasn't any kind of bonds between you and Kai. There wasn't friendship or any real feelings - not from his side at least - only sex and that had only happened once. You didn't expect too much, and you definitely didn't think he'd join the family with a smile on his face but you did hope for the best. Though, you weren't sure yet whether best would be growing the child with or without Kai.

  You reached the Salvatore boarding house soon, and rapidly knocked on the door. You had decided long ago that the best way to handle unwanted or uncomfortable situations would be by getting it over with. Tearing off the band-aid and exposing the truth without holding back, without fear. You had to be brave, and especially in Mystic Falls where you either aimed to win every time or lost in the very first fight.

  "Y/N, my favorite sarcastic bitch right after me", Damon grinned when he had opened the door, causing you to roll your eyes, "To what do I owe the pleasure?", he added and leaned against the doorway. Instead of politely waiting for his invitation, you pushed him out of the way and walked in with determination and confidence, not afraid of him - you had been friends for years and therefore you had no reason to hold back around him.

  "Is Kai here?", you asked bravely after taking in a sharp breath and looking around. You didn't see him around, so you turned to Damon and took your hands out of your pockets to wipe the sweaty palms against your thighs. Your innocent smile made Damon lift an eyebrow, clearly suspecting your intentions and craving to know why you were there but you didn't have time to answer when the moment and the suddenly awkward silence was broken by the one and only, father of your child.

  "Always here", Kai spoke from behind you, and when you twirled around you were face to face with the handsome devil with the usual sexy smile tugging up his red lips. You sighed adoringly at the sight, but then picked yourself up from the floor where you were melting and cleared your throat while giving a look to Damon, as if to ask him to leave you and Kai alone. He scoffed and gave you a hurt look, while walking away, grunting and complaining about how it was his house yet he was being tossed around like a rag nowadays.

  "Came back for some more, maybe, sugar?", Kai smirked and trailed his fingers down your cheek to your collarbone, earning a flinch from you. Sadly, you felt the need to stop him, so you grabbed his hand but instead of dropping it, you held it tightly and looked deeply into his bright, but seducing eyes. You swallowed thickly, and shook your head to disagree with his idea, which made him more or less confused and caused him to gave you a surprised look.

  "No, actually...", you sighed, "I have something I need to tell you."

  You and Kai were both sitting on the couch in silence - he was trying to comprehend the somewhat shocking news and you were nervously chewing on your lower lip and playing with the hem of your shirt, praying he wouldn't lash out on you. But instead of having a violent, furious reaction, he gave you a sad look, as if he didn't want to say what he was about to do but nevertheless his lips parted and the quiet words slipped out, filling the awkward air with more awkwardness.

  "You have been with someone else", Kai stated slowly, pursing his lips unhappily at the thought and the fact that he had to let it out but he couldn't hold it back either. You opened your mouth to protest, but only a hurt, truly disappointed sound came out, blocking your words and leaving you with your jaw dropped from the pure shock that he'd blame you for something like that. Okay, sure you slept with him after knowing him for two hours but he was an exception. He was so beautiful, in every way, even in the bad dangerous way. You didn't sleep around with every guy but with him, you wanted it.

  "I have not. Now, you can either tell me to get the fuck out and tell me you never want to see me again and that you don't want to have anything to do with this baby. Or you can come to my place with me and we can talk about this more, and you can support and help me, but I will not tolerate you treating me as if I'm some slut who goes and tests every sheets in the town", you angrily explained, crossing your arms and giving him a deadly glare. Kai didn't know what else to say, he just sat there with sad eyes, threatening to break into tears. Whether it was because he was one step closer to being a father, or because he was going to be a fucking father, you didn't know but at the moment you didn't care either.

  "I slept with you, yes, and this is where it got me. Maybe it was a mistake, maybe it wasn't. But I didn't fuck some other guy, and don't you dare claim so, because I'm not the town slut and I wouldn't lie about this", you continued with an upset look on your face, painting your features so strongly it caused Kai to feel regret and remorse for being so rude. He placed his hand on your knee and squeezed it while his lips curved into a compassionate smile, and while a part of you wanted to slap it off, the part of you that was starting to realize that you were going to be a mother, calmed you down and you remained controlled.

  Kai nodded slowly and licked his dry lips, before finding the courage to speak to you again. "Alright, I'm sorry I said that. Well, I guess there isn't anything else for me to do except accepting the truth", he shrugged, "I know I'm not the greatest person in the world, and just a bit insane but I also know you, even though you're very strong and brave, can't do this by yourself so I'll be there for you, obviously", and gave you a warm smile. Your heart melted and your tough expression softened while your hand met his, intertwining your fingers.

  God, you never thought this moment would arrive. You and him holding hands, being all loving and caring towards each other, talking over starting a family when the last time you saw him was after a long rough night of banging.

  "And I obviously can't miss the chance to see what my child looks like. Hot, definitely. Especially with you as the mother", Kai grinned and leaned closer to you, placing his lips softly on yours. You laughed lightly, but pushed your fingers through his hair and held him close to you while moving your lips against his, enjoying the already familiar taste and feeling.

  Your eyes closed, and you felt Kai's teeth bite your lip gently while his hands were placed on your hips, holding you tightly against his body while the kiss got deeper and deeper with each passing second. You held your hands against his muscular back, and felt his warm body through the shirt he was wearing, but hopefully, not for long. His lips left yours, only to touch your jaw and neck which earned a gentle sigh from you.

  You didn't get much further, when a disgusted groan echoed through the house, coming from the doorway of the living room. Both, you and Kai, jumped up and looked to the direction of the groan, awkwardly smiling when you saw Damon holding back a string of unhappy grunts and displeased moans.

  "You didn't", he complained, covering his face with his palms and hitting his head against the wall, more or less unhappy to see his favorite sarcastic bitch with the pork rind munching freak.

  You and Kai just shared looks, and decided that maybe right now wasn't the time to tell Damon about the pregnancy.
