Imagine you and Kai getting your child to believe in Santa Claus

Kai's lips were attached to yours, his hands wandering around your flawless body and his eyes locked with yours as you pushed him down to his back on the bed. It was late, nearly midnight, and the first night of the week on which you had a shot at having fun. There was always something or someone stopping you, interrupting the good times, but not tonight, hopefully.

"You look so beautiful", Kai whispered, and kissed your shoulder softly, earning a smile from you. He flipped you and him around, so he was on top of you and you were pinned to the mattress while he left moist gentle kisses from your neck to your sides. You closed your eyes and tilted your head back into the pillows, enjoying the love and adoration Kai had to offer. You and him were deeply in love, ever since you met after his arrival to today's Mystic Falls, and you were the one who got him out of all the trouble and the whole villainous act.

Kai was just about to undress you both from your underwear, but then the door of your bedroom opened with a creak and a sweet, innocent voice spoke carefully. "Mommy? Daddy?", she asked - your daughter, while hugging her teddy bear tightly. You pushed Kai off of you, scared that your child would see her parents doing unholy things, and because of the rough push your husband fell off of the bed and onto his ass on the floor. You choked back a laughter, while he groaned and shot you a glare, but there was no time for fighting.

"What is it, sweetie?", Kai asked in his sweet, soft voice which he used whenever he spoke to your three-year-old daughter. He flashed her a smile, and pulled her into his lap and remained on the floor while you threw on one of his shirts to cover up your body. You smiled at your little girl while sliding off of the bed to join them on the floor, and caressed her cheek softly while she spoke.

"Is Santa real? Some girls said he's not", she pouted. Your heart broke, she seemed so genuinely sad about it, because Stefan had visited as a Santa for the past two years and she had so toughly believed he was real. You gave a look to Kai, wondering if you should gently let her down, tell her the truth of Santa Claus, or continue with the comforting lies. Kai gave you back a look as if he was judging you for even considering breaking her golden little heart with the truth, and therefore it was suddenly obvious which one you would go with.

"Of course he is, darling. I already made plans with Santa, and he promised to visit us this year, too", you smiled and kissed her cheek softly. She still seemed unsure, so you and Kai sighed, knowing that it would take some effort to convince your daughter. "You've seen him before, haven't you, sunshine?", you asked grinning, while crossing your legs and moving your hair away from your face. Kai nodded to back you up, and you gave him a grateful look in return.

"Yeah, baby girl, those girls were just trying to get to you. Don't let them. What have I said to you, huh?", Kai asked and ran his fingers through hair. You took his hand then, and held it tightly while your daughter climbed off of his lap and sat opposite you, looking down at her teddy bear while thinking back to the motivating, comforting words Kai had spoken to her once or twice to keep her going.

"Liking yourself is the most important thing...", she muttered shyly, but flashed an adorable smile to which you and Kai both responded by smiling back at her.

"And you like you, don't you, princess? Don't let anyone bring you down. Especially if they tell you things like Santa being unreal", Kai gasped, and grabbed your teeny tiny girl to his arms and tickled her sides while making his best monstrous groans. Your daughter's giggling echoed through the room, and you smiled warmly as you watched the two most important people in your life be their own happy, lovable selves.

"Tomorrow, we'll go to the mall and see Santa Claus. You can tell him what you'd like for Christmas, too", you suggested, and both of them cheered excitedly. Kai kissed your daughter's cheek, and you did the same before getting up from the floor, ready to take her to her own bed but she stopped you quickly.

"Can I sleep here tonight?", your princess carefully asked, giving you her best innocent smile. You stopped moving, and opened your mouth but all you could do was stare at her and think about what to say. You had been trying to get her to sleep in her own bed lately, but how could you say no to that smile, those eyes, and the adorable cutie in general?

  Kai couldn't, for sure.

"Of course you can!", he yelled and grabbed the girl from you before jumping onto the mattress with her. The both of them giggled, and then gave a look to you. "Mommy's a bit slow, don't you think, peanut?", Kai teased, and grinned at you only to make you roll your eyes. You jumped next to them, and swung an arm over the two while scooting closer.

"If anyone was being slow, it was you", you scoffed, understanding that now you and him wouldn't get to make out. Kai laughed and hit your shoulder gently, earning a similar swat from you which made your little girl giggle while she followed the situation.

"I'm tired! Let's sleep", she insisted then, stopping you and Kai. You kissed him first, then your daughter, and finally closed your eyes while Kai wrapped an arm around you and closed your little princess between you and him. Under the warm covers, you all slept soundly, safe on each other's arms, as one happy little family.

And tomorrow, you'd go and meet Santa.
