Klaus's point of view

Waking up to kiss you and nobody's there. The smell of your perfume still stuck in the air. It's hard.

Another day waking up without Y/n beside me. It has been a month since she broke up with me because and I quote 'I'm hiding something from her.' Yes I'm hiding the fact that I'm the original hybrid from her. I'm hiding the whole entire existence of the supernatural world from her to help protect her. 

Yesterday I thought I saw your shadow running round. It's funny how things never change in this old town. So far from the stars. T

o make things worse yesterday I thought I saw your shadow in Rousseau's but it wasn't you. But Cami said that you haven't been following your schedule from when we were together. She claims not to know where you are stating only that you left town for awhile.  

And I want to tell you everything. The words I never got to say the first time around. And I remember everything, from when we were the children playing in this fairground. Wish I was there with you now. 

The worst part is that I wanted to tell you everything before it was too late. It was Elijah who convinced me to wait and make sure things were serious between her and I. And I remember every moment of our relationship. Every date and every time she wanted me to push her on the swings. I looked up. I had somehow wandered to the fairground where it would happen. Wish I was here with her now. I just wanted to keep her safe from my enemies. But now....

I just got a call from Damon, Katherine is dying and he wants me to come. You know with us being lifelong enemies. But he mentions something interesting that you were in Mystic Falls. I thought back to what Cami said about you leaving town it suddenly made sense that you would go there as you had previously told me that your cousin who happened to be Caroline lived there. And so it took highways and byways to be back with you in the little town of Mystic Falls. And after a month without you everything still reminds me of you.

Your point of view

"Y/n, an old friend of mine is coming back to town for a little bit and I want you to stay away from him." My cousin Caroline informs me. 

"I thought you just said that he was a friend of yours. why do you want me to stay away from him?" You asked confused. 

"Well he has anger issues and isn't the best around new people though you may know him since he lives in New Orleans too. His name is Klaus Mikaelson." She says unknowingly. My jaw drops. She doesn't notice too busy planning for him to come back to town. Little did she know that he is the reason I left New Orleans. I walked to my room and started shoving things into a bag. 

"Y/n what are you doing?" She asks appearing in my doorway. 

"Caroline I have to leave only for a few days I promise. I'll be back, it's just.... It's just Klaus was the guy that made me move here in the first place. I can't see him." I tell her while still shoving clothes into my bag. 

"Where will you go?" She asks. 

"I'll go back to New Orleans. Spend time with my friends grab some more clothes. I will be going back there eventually. I'm just not ready yet." I reply. she agrees with my plan and promises to call me as soon as he leaves town. I get in my car and wave goodbye, telling her that I'd see her in a few days.

Klaus's point of view

The first thing that I did when I got to Mystic Falls is go to Caroline's house in search of you. She informed me that you weren't, in fact, there and that when she heard that I was coming left saying she would return. I was disappointed but stayed for the death of Katerina Petrova which was what they thought I traveled all the way to Virginia for. 

Third person point of view

Klaus only stayed in Mystic Falls for a couple of days; two days to be exact. Caroline called Y/n the moment he left but she didn't pick up. She tried again a little while later but received voicemail again. She left a message thinking that since New Orleans is a big city it was unlikely that the two would run into each other. Caroline wanted to let Y/n have a few more days of fun. Y/n was in Rousseau's with Cami, Josh and Davina drinking with her friends who she had missed whilst in Mystic Falls. 

"I mean, don't get me wrong Mystic Falls is great and so are all of my cousin's friends, they are extremely hot might I add, but it just isn't home. I'm more of a city girl myself and living in practically the smallest town in the world isn't my style." Y/n tells them. She talk about all of the adventures her and her cousin have not including the parts about the vampires since she doesn't know they exist just believing that her cousin has a lot of boy drama since she was constantly being called away by Stefan or Damon. 

Klaus's point of view

 I saw that you moved on with someone new. In the pub that we met he's got his arms around you. 

I was surprised to say the least when I saw you in a booth in Rousseau's with Cami, Davina and another boy. Cami and Davina were just leaving when I entered and you had your arms around the boy. I noticed that the hug lasted a little to long. 

It's so hard. So hard. 

And you would have no idea how much strength it required for me not to go over there and rip his head off. Or use my hearing to listen to the conversation. I lasted only for a few minutes without being able to hear what was being said before giving in. After all I'll admit that I was jealous. 

"Bye Josh. I'll come back soon but I'm not ready yet. I'm going back to Mystic Falls but I'll make sure to call you when I get there to tell you that I'm safe." She says before bidding him goodbye. It felt as though a weight was lifted off of my shoulders when I discovered that the boy was Josh since I knew he didn't swing that way as the saying goes. You noticed me when you were walking out and I gave you a little side smile. 

 And I want to tell you everything. The words I never got to say the first time around. And I remember everything from when we were the children playing in this fairground. Wish I was there with you now. 

And suddenly I was hit with the longing to chase after you and tell you about me and my family and the people you were about to drive back to. After that I was hit with the memory of our first fight and how a scene had played out almost exactly like this. How I wished it was then when we were still together.

So I followed your car. And I drove back to Mystic Falls to talk with you. I walked to Caroline's house just in time to hear you yelling at Caroline about not warning her that I'd left town. I knocked on the door. And instead of Caroline opening it you opened it. I watched your jaw drop. 

"Can we please talk?" I ask. You stepped away from the door gesturing for me to come in. It was acceptable for an invitation and I was freely able to walk in. 

You still make me nervous when you walk in the room. Them butterflies they come alive when I'm next to you. Over and over the only truth. Everything comes back to you. 

And I'll admit, I was nervous. I mean I was about to drop a bombshell on you. That the supernatural exists and almost everyone you know is one.  

"What do you want Klaus?" You ask finally regaining the ability to speak. 

"Well I'm about to tell you the big secret that I've been keeping from you. The big secret that not just me but Josh, Davina, Caroline, Stefan, Damon, almost everyone really have been keeping. It's that the supernatural exist and I am one. I'm the original hybrid a mix of vampire and werewolf." I say finally being honest with her. It feels like a chip off of my shoulder. You laugh. 

"Great cover Klaus. Like I'm stupid enough to actually believe that." She scoffs. 

"Why don't we ask Caroline then love." I say. 

"Caroline, darling will you please come here." I call her. 

"Guess what story Klaus just tried to sell me Caroline. He told me that supernatural exist can you believe that."  You say whilst laughing. 

"Well...." Caroline trails off looking sheepish. 

"Wait you're kidding me right." I turn to her and show her my vampire face. 

"Look, love I understand why this seems unbelievable. So let's split everyone into a category shall we. Caroline, Josh, Stefan, Damon, Elena, Enzo, Elijah, Rebekah, Marcel and Kol are all vampires. Bonnie, Freya and Vincent are witches. There were more witches in New Orleans but most that you knew died. Jackson and Aiden are werewolves. Tyler, Hayley and I are hybrids, half vampire half werewolf. Jeremy and Alaric are supernatural hunters. I think that's it." I say. 

"Woah. That's a lot of people and information. What about Cami?" 

"No Cami is just a human who knows about us."   

And I know that it's wrong. That I can't move on. but there's something about you. Because if the whole world was watching I'd still dance with you. Drive highways and byways to be there with you. "Wait so pretty much everyone that I know and love were lying to me whenever they just rushed off. Where is safer. Here or in New Orleans?" She asks both distraught and curious. 

"To be fair love I asked everyone in New Orleans to leave you out of it. See I care about you a lot and I have many enemies who would use that against me. I think New Orleans is safer since pretty much the only humans here are Matt and Sheriff Forbes." 

 "Well then sorry Caroline but I'm moving back home. For good this time. If I know everyone's big secret I might as well go back to work." I follow you to your room and start to help. 

"Y/n when we get back to New Orleans I would like to go on a date and you can ask me all the questions I know you aren't asking. How would you feel about that?" I ask you. You nod uncertainly seeming more nervous now that she knows my secret.
