Chapter 32: Night Time Visit

I woke up with a yawn, blinding my eyes and sat up tiredly. The warmth of Fallacy's bed was lovely and I soon noticed that he wasn't in the bed or in the room. Seconds later the door of the room and opened and Fallacy entered with a tray of freshly made food. He sat beside next to me with a smile on his face and handed the tray to me. "Breakfast in bed. Hope you enjoy it!" I smiled and looked at the food. There was a fried egg, bacon, fried tomatoes and a croissant, it smelled delicious! Without hesitation I started to eat, the flavors swirled in my mouth bringing an amazing sensation to me. "Mmmmm! This is so yummy!" I exclaimed and Fallacy chuckled. After what seemed like seconds I had finished the amazing meal. Fallacy summoned his strings which picked up the tray and took it out of the room, probably to the kitchen.

He picked me up bridal-style and spoke. "Here I want to show you something." I nodded and he took me out of the room, down the hallways, down the castle stairs and into the garden. He sat down on a bench and put me onto his lap. The sun came out and my worry for him suddenly came, I looked at him in but was met by the helpful relief that he was wearing a cloak which disabled him from being burnt. He pointed away from him and I looked at the direction, what I saw made me smile. There in the sky was the lovely flecks of pure white snow which came from gray clouds that covered the skies above. "I love snow! Its so beautiful!!" I exclaimed happily and Fallacy looked on with a smile on his face. Fallacy placed me down next to him on the bench and sighed. "Say Encre... Tonight so you want to go down to the village and to your house to get the rest of your belonging? It will be dangerous but I'm willing to retrieve your things. " I thought to myself before looking at Fallacy and nodding in response. "But... Wouldn't it be dangerous for you? Especially as your a vampire, what if Etherna or... Azure sees you!?" I said with worry. Fallacy hugged me. "I'll be fine, I promise." Fallacy picked me up and brought me to his room where he placed me on his bed and went over to a set of drawers. When he walked back to me he handed me a pair of clothes: a pair of gray trousers, a black cloak and boots. "Er... You know? To hide your identity and so that we wont be easily spotted." Fallacy let me get changed as he waited outside of his room. I put on the clothes and jacket which felt very comfortable, folding up my dress and placing it in a neat pile on a seat.

When Fallacy was let in he slightly blushed on my look. "Encre? Can I ask you a question." He asked and I nodded. "Why is there a paint smudge on the bottom of you cheek?" "Oh that! I don't know. I've always had it, but I really like it to be honest. " Fallacy shrugged and Jasper suddenly barged in with an excited look. "Hi Encre!! Um... What are you wearing?" I laughed nervously but Jasper just carried on. "Please can you play the piano for me?? Maybe one that you haven't showed us yet? Like, a really hard one!" Fallacy sighed. "Jasper, I don't think Encre wants t-" I placed my hand on Fallacy's cheek. "Its ok. I don't mind." Jasper pulled me out of the room with Fallacy following and lead me to the hall. I sat down at the piano and Fallacy and Jasper sat by me on separate chairs. "Um... This is going to be very hard to play... I haven't played this in years..." Jasper smiled happily. "Its ok Encre just try you best. Oh and also I invited the maids and Mr Sauve as well." Just then they all entered with excited looks. I slightly gulped as they all sat down and looked at me in the eyes. "O-Ok. I'll t-try!" I said nervously before placing my hands on the piano. *Inhale... * Exhale

I looked at the notes for a little while and thought before my fingers burst into life on the keys.

Despite all my errors I enjoyed playing the piece and soon, I had ended the piece and my hands where glowing a rainbow aurora. The glow soon went away after a few seconds and I looked up to see the amazed looks of the maids, Jasper, Sauve and Fallacy. Hesitantly I stood up and walked into the middle of the hall still watching the audience who sat in silence whilst staring at the piano. I was slightly worried and quietly walked out of the room, closing the door carefully so that it made little noise. I creeped down the hallway and suddenly the noise of exciting screaming and shouting came from the main hall, I guessed it was all the maids due to their high voices. When I looked back in the direction of the hall I saw two bats flying towards me, both of them landed on my shoulder.

I knew that one of the bats was Fallacy and guessed that the other was Jasper. " Aw! Vos deux si mignons que les chauves-souris!" (Aw! Your both so cute as bats!) Fallacy must have understood me since his reaction was a small tint of yellow on his face whilst Jasper smiled happily. Jasper flew away down the hallways and I was left with Fallacy. He starter to near his little fangs to my neck making me jerk slightly in worry before he looked up at me. "Are you hungry?" I asked and at that moment Fallacy jumped off my shoulder and turned back to his normal form. "Er... Maybe?" I laughed slightly and he put on a silly face. I ran down to the bottom of the hallway before shouting.

"You'll have to catch me first if you want some of my blood!" I stuck my tongue out in a silly way whilst Fallacy just stared at the fact that I had a rainbow tongue. "Oh really? Thats all you got?" He stated out loudly and I stared at him in confusion. Unexpectedly he stuck out not one, but three blue tongues. I just stared before turning away and walking down the corridor. "Nope nope nope nope, what just happened?" Quickly I started to run through the hallways, I knew that Fallacy would probably just follow my scent so there was no point on running. I sat down against a wall and waited for the vampire to catch up, while I waited I took of my ring and studied it. It was decorated with two white crystals and a beautiful red ruby. On the inside of the ring there were words imprinted into the material. 'The Light Who Healed My Heart...' I smiled at the words before placing the ring back onto my finger. Fallacy soon arrived in front of me by teleportation. "There was literally no point of running anway, you always find me." Fallacy chukled before nearing my neck. "Sorry if it hurts Encre, but your blood is so sweet." I nodded and faced my neck towards Fallacy. Then I felt his fangs go into my neck and I squeezed my eyes shut tightly as pain seared through me, I could feel him drinking my blood slowly. He knew not to drink to much because I would end up collapsing, like usual. Soon he had finished, I was actually still standing but was exhausted. I rested my head on his shoulder tiredly and he laughed quietly in response before making me face him. "Come on, we should start heading to the village." I nodded and Fallacy held my hand, soon teleporting us to the entrance of the Forbidden Forest. We entered and I tightly held onto the Vampire King as we walked. The strange squawks and growls sent occastional shivers down my spine, Fallacy noticed as gently put his arm around me in a comforting way. A smile formed on my face but I was soon interrupted by the sudden glow off light which came from in froont of me. There it was... The Village.

Fallacy snarled and beared his fangs angrily, he must of hated the village for some reason... Quickly and quietly we ran into a small alley way and waited, soon a pair of guards walked past armed with swords. I looked up at Fallacy how had his eyes closed for some reason, I poked him and his eyes immediately opened. They where glowing in the darkness which made him much more easier to be seen, somehow they stopped glowing and Fallacy smiled. "Night vision. Its a vampire thing." He whispered as quietly as he could. After nodding we both creeped down the alleyway and I soon stopped. In front of me lay my old house but there was one problem... It was on the otherside of the street and to cross it, you'd have to take a great risk of being seen my a mortal or guard. I pointed at the house so that Fallacy would know our destination unexpectedly he jumped out onto the street and looked around before somehow picking the lock of the door with his strings. He quickly went in and moments later six of his blue strings came out making there way towards me. I was picked up by them and with a large amount of speed was pulled into the house with the door closing behind me. I landed onto the wodden floor on my feet and looked around, Fallacy was also doing the same.

I led him to the upperfloor which was my room, the main priority of the journey. Opening one of the drawers I grabbed a large backpack and started to fill it up with objects that I didnt ever want to lose. Moments later I had opened up a chest of drawers and was throwing stuff out uncontrollably that Fallacy had to stand on the other side of the room. Suddenly I stopped when I noticed a piece of paper at the back-bottom of the drawer. I pulled it out and stared at it before gasping in absolute shock, it was a sketch that I did around what seemed like fifteen years ago. It was a portrait of a skeleton who wore a dark cloak, had markings around his eyes and unidentical eyes...

I faced the sketch towards Fallacy who slightly jerked when he saw what it was of. "F-Fallacy,this is you right?" Fallacy took the paper from my hand and looked at it before awnsering. "Y-Yeah... But... I'm much more younger... and still as handsome." I just looked at Fallacy with an unamused look. "Anyway... T-This is you... But... Why!? How!? I didn't even know you then!" I noticed Fallacy look away with a strange look and saw a bit of sweat falling down the side of his face. Instantly I became suspicious of his actions and I went over to him, pulling his chin so that he faced me in slight worry. I looked into his eyes with concentration and he looked into mine, his eyes was had the slight amount... of guilt. I let go of him and sighed. "Ok Fallacy... Stop... I know your hiding something away from me. You probably know the reason why there's a sketch of you in my drawers. Now... Tell me... please?"

Fallacy just looked at me before he spoke. "I dont... remember it all though... But, I'll tell you the reason." We sat down on my dusty bed and Fallacy started to speak of the 'tale'.

Fallacy's P.O.V

I was able to start the story and was able to use my memory well. Before I knew it... everything was coming back to me...

The Memory...

I sat against a tree in the Forbidden Forest near the Village of Underville. Filled with boredom I had started to play with my strings which had appeared from my fingers before I was interrupted by a sound. A blood curdling scream rang and echoed through the forest making me immediately stand up and look around. Suddenly a giant shadow shot through the trees in front of me and I went after it swiftly without making any sounds. The shadow finally stopped in a clearing which was covered by a roof of tree's leaves. A figure stood in the middle and I noticed something on the ground in front of it trying struggling to get away from them. Instantly the smell of blood hit me and my eyes where drawn to a wound that was on the struggler. I couldn't recognise either of the monsters from the lack of light but my attention was put up again when the figure in the middle started to make a spine chilling 'laugh'. Suddenly the figure attacked the wounded one with... Strings!?

I was full of shock. I didn't know any other monster who could use string attacks... The only one I knew was... My Father. The wounded figure screamed out in pain as they grasped one their legs tightly they must have been a mortal or else they would have flown off, I watched for sometime with an angry snarl on my face. I didnt like this at all... not even a mortal should deserve to be beaten with such harsh attacks.

Without thinking I swiftly ran in front of the mortal, my wings immediately shot out and blocked out the string attacks. I tightly shut my eyes and bashed my teeth together everytime I was hit, but I didnt care... Eventually the attacks stopped and the intruder growled in anger. "Why are you attacking a mortal!? FATHER!?" I shouted as I lowered my wings. The figure started to laugh which sent a shiver down my spine. The mortal whimpered and I picked them up gently before looking down at their face. I suddenly froze when the mortal looked up at me with tears streaming down their face. They mumbled before whispering to me. "Stranger...?" It was the young artist from the village... Encre. The fact that seeing that she had been hurt by my own father made me mad and disgusted in him... Suddenly a pair of bushes started to shake and a figure shot out, my father was about to attack them but a stake pierced through him making him gasp. Terrified in ran through the trees away from the scene still holding onto Encre. I wasn't sad about my father... he deserved to die in that way. After around twenty minutes of running I soon slowed down and laid against a tree. Encre was crying in pain as she held onto one of her legs which was bleeding badly. I was about to place my hand on her shoulder but she quickly scrambled away with a face of terror. "Y-Your... a vampire!! Please, d-dont hurt me..." I sighed sadly but looked at her with a warm smile."Why would I hurt you? Yes, I know Im a vampire... But I dont want to hurt you." I went over to her and examined her leg before placing my hands on the wound which made her whimper in pain. I gave her a comforting smile and looked at the wound which had been inflicted by my, now dead, father. My hands started to glow a light green indicating that magic was being formed, the smell of pine and grass filled the air which was soon to be interrupted by Encre's scream of pain. "Its ok, its ok. It'll be over soon..." Eventually Encre had stopped screaming andd I realized that she was sleeping peacefully. I flopped into a pile leaves in exhaustion, this was the first time that I had healed someone... And it sure was tiring! I placed one of my hands on Encre's forehead and the other on mine, a yellow glow of magic appeared and I closed my eyes. The next thing I remembered was the nonstop view... of darkness.

I suddenly snapped back into reality and adult Encre was sitting next to me. "Wait... What happened to me? What was that last spell?" Once again I was drowned in questions. "The next morning you woke up in your house and I woke up in my chamber. Its sort of a teleportation and memory spell, so thats why you cant remember a thing... " Encre looked away and stayed silent. "I understand if you dont like me anymore..." Encre hugged me with a warm smile. "Oh course I like you, you idiot! Im just a little stunned that, that happened." A sigh of relief came out of me and Encre stood back up, she placed a few more things into her bag along with the sketch. She came across a necklace, it had a heart which seemed to have a flower inside? It must had been made by a glass speacialist or something... Encre put the necklace on her neck before turning to me. "Ok! Lets get back to the castle before the sun comes up." I nodded and wrapped my arms around her before teleporting. We both landed at the front of the main door of the castle to be met by Sauve. "Welcome back Lord Fallacy, and M'Lady."

Encre walked in and I followed with Sauve, we ended up in the main hall and where met by the large table which had a bit of mortal food for Encre and blood bags for me. Soon we sat and ate, I wished a good night to Encre and headed to my room where I got changed. Exhausted in fell into my bed and immediately fell asleep in the warmth of blankets...
