We were in Prof. Goodwitch's class watching a exhausted Jaune face off against Cardin. Jaune charges at Cardin as he sidesteps and hits Jaune's shield out of his hands. Undeterred Jaune rushes again at Cardin as he blocks his strike with his hilt.

Cardin: This is the part where you lose.

Jaune: Over my dead- oof.

Cardin knees Jaune in the gut as he falls over Cardin gets above him for a final strike. Before he could swing the lights came on and a buzzer sounded breaking his concentration and interrupting his swing.

Glynda: That's enough Cardin.

He walks away from the defeated Jaune.

Glynda: As you can see Mr. Arc's aura has dropped into the red in a tournament style dual, this would indicate that Jaune is no longer fit for battle and that the official may call the match. Mister Arc, it's been weeks now please try to refer to your scroll during combat gauging your aura will help you decide when it is appropriate to attack or when it's better to move to a more... defensive strategy. We wouldn't want you to be gobbled up by a beowolf, now would we?

Cardin walks of stage mumbling.

Cardin: Speak for yourself.

Glynda: Remember everyone! The Vytal Festival is only a few months away it won't be long before students from the other kingdoms start arriving in Vale so keep practicing.

I was looking over and saw Ruby, Yang, and Weiss were excited for it coming soon. I can't participate in the tournament same goes for Ruby if I can't teach her how to control her new found abilities.

Glynda: Those who wish to compete in the combat tournament will be representing all of Vale.

The bell rings and we all get up and start heading towards the cafeteria. I look back over to Jaune who just put his head down.

Timeskip

We were all sitting at the table we always sit at with my team and team JNPR.

Nora: So there we were in the middle of the night...

Ren: It was day...

I was eating a steak while not really paying all that much attention to the story. Ruby was eating strawberries, cookies, and a hamburger. She was somewhat listening to Nora's story, Weiss wasn't listening and was filing her nails, Blake was reading a book, and Yang was hanging on to every word she said.

Nora: We were surrounded by ursai...

Ren: They were beowolves.

I looked up from my food to see Jaune just sitting there picking at his food looking all depressed like.

Nora: Dozens of them!

Ren: Two of them.

Nora: But they were no match and in the end Ren and I took them down and made a boatload of Lien selling ursa skin rugs.

Ren: She's been having this reoccurring dream for nearly a month now...

Pyrrha: Jaune... are you ok?

Jaune: Huh? Oh yeah. Why?

Ruby: It's just that you seem a little...

Y/n: Down in the dumps.

Jaune: Guys I'm fine seriously look.

He nervously laughs giving a fake smile and a thumbs up which no one believed.

Pyrrha: Jaune, Carson's been picking on you since the first week of school.

Jaune: Who? Cardin Winchester? Nah... he just likes to mess around, you know? Practical jokes.

Y/n: Really then why did I have to put him in the infirmary when he was picking on Ruby.

Ruby kisses my cheek as a thank you for that day.

Jaune: Because she's your girlfriend.

Ruby: No because he's a bully.

Jaune: Oh please name one time he's bullied me.

Ren: He knocked your books from your hands.

Pyrrha: He got your shield stuck in doorway.

Ruby: He shoved you in a locker and launched it off school campus.

Jaune: I didn't land that far from the school.

Bunny girl: Owww that hurts.

I get up and make my way behind him and make my eyes red. Once I get behind him his team bolted. It confused Cardin for a bit but he kept pulling her ears.

Cardin: Where are you cowards going? It's not like that freak lover- He's behind me isn't he.

Y/n: (harsh demonic sounding voice) Cardin. Let her go and if I see or hear that you bullied anyone again. The police won't be able to find the body or at least every piece of it.

Just like that he ran out of here after his team. I go back and sit myself back next to Ruby as she hugs me.

Ruby: Thanks for doing that.

I could tell everyone was scared especially of what I said leaving, them to wonder what I did to them when the messed with Ruby and what held me back.

Timeskip a week

Me and Ruby were coming back to the dorm from our nightly vampire training.

Y/n: So how's being a vampire my little red wolf?

Ruby: It's good minus I'm gonna outlive my friends and family since I'm immortal. The increased strength and speed makes it easier for me to attack faster and harder so stronger Grimm are easier to take out.

Y/n: Well that's good to hear but if you wanted we could make them vampires at a later time.

Ruby lit up when I said that.

Ruby: Really?!

Y/n: Yes bit it's their decision.

We round the corner and and saw Jaune peeking into his dorm.

Y/n: Are you peeping on your teammates changing Jaune? Man that's a bold.

My sudden voice startled him and looked over at me and Ruby. As he shut the door.

Jaune: What? No I was...

Ruby: Did you lock yourself out again?

Jaune: Oh uh nope. I got it.

Y/n: I'll be in bed, tomorrow we start working on instinctual reaction Ruby.

Ruby: Ok Y/n be with you in a bit I'm gonna try and catch up with Jaune.

I enter the dorm and gets some clothes to change into.

Yang: So how was your training with Ruby?

Y/n: She's getting a better handle on her new speed and strength. How are you and Blake since this morning?

Yang: A little light headed.

Blake: I'm fine compared to when Ruby sucks my blood.

Y/n: I'll be sure to see if dad can send some blood packs here. If not I'll be sure to teach her to limit herself a bit better.

Yang: It's ok it's not life threatening.

Y/n: Ok if you want to continue then I won't push.

I head into the shower.

Timeskip tomorrow

We were all walking the red forest called forest of forever fall. I've seen this place quite a bit growing up for training but the beauty of it still gets to me. Everyone else seems to be captivated by it's beauty as well besides team CRDL.

Glynda: Yes students, the Forest of forever fall is indeed beautiful. But we are not here to sight see. Prof. Peaches asked all of you to collect samples from the trees deep inside this forest. And I'm here to make sure that none of you die while doing so.

Glynda shows us a jar already filled with sap from the forest trees glistening in it's redness looking similar to that of blood.

Glynda: Each of you is to gather one jar's worth of red sap. However this forest is full of the creatures of Grimm  so be sure to stay by your teammates. We will rendezvous back here at four o'clock. Have fun.

I walked in the direction that team RWBY and NPR went while I saw Jaune getting dragged in the direction that Cardin and his team were going. Once we found a good enough spot we all got by a tree. I stab into one and slowly dragged the blade down to allow more sap to flow out and into my jar at a quicker pace. I put the lid on it and was about to see if anyone needed help when all of a sudden I feel myself getting grabbed and I was in another clearing with a man in a black hood on one side wearing gloves and a mask but it exposed his piercing red eyes and his mouth showing his fangs telling me he's another vampire.

Y/n: What do you want?

Hooded man: I'm merely a foot soldier but I have a message to deliver before I go after my target.

Y/n: And that would be?

Hooded man: You.

I get into a fighting stance with both swords out as he doesn't move an inch.

Y/n: What's the message?

Hooded man: The Rahovart coven is no longer going to hide in the shadows we wish to be recognized as people as well and live like a normal person.

Y/n: Humanity and Faunus will never accept us for what we are.

Hooded man: Then it will be a war with them. Now your death will be a message to your father and the Nightshades coven to not get in our way.

Ruby's Pov

I just saw Jaune decapitate a Ursa which was pretty cool but Y/n just disappeared when we were collecting the sap. When we looked in his direction before we went to try and help Jaune was just his jar of sap.

Ruby: Did either of you saw what happened to Y/n before we rushed to try and save Jaune?

Weiss: No I don't know where he went?

Pyrrha: I saw some bushes settling to the right of his Jar when it fell but I didn't have a chance to say anything before we had to go to Jaune.

Ruby: Thanks Pyrrha.

I use my semblance and rush to where his jar was and then through the bushes to a clearing where I saw Y/n fighting a hooded man that was covered in light cuts. They continued to talk as they clashed.

Y/n: We are not going to start a war against Faunus and Humanity just to come out of the shadows.

Hooded man: We already have support of the Tantibus coven in Vacuo. We are tired of hiding behind masks of who we once were. If we are not accepted then we'll become the ruling race of Remnant.

I heard enough I transform my crescent rose into scythe form and launch myself at the hooded man when he was far enough away from Y/n and sliced his head off.

Y/n: Ruby hey are you ok?

I look over to him as he comes up to me and holstered his weapons.

Ruby: I'm fine Y/n I'm starting to come to terms with killing other vampires.

Y/n: How much did you hear?

Ruby: Enough. Are they really going to start a war with the world just to be accepted?

Y/n: I'll go tell dad what's going on and fill Ozpin in. So I'll be gone for a day or so in the future.

Ruby: Ok. Come on we should get back with the group so we can head back to Beacon.

Bacca: And done this took a lot of time to think of a good idea for this one.

Ruby: Yeah it's starting to become it's own somewhat original story.

Bacca: Now before I go I have some things to say. Now I know that plenty of people have told some of you to stay inside but it's still warranted for me to warn you as well. You don't want to get that coronavirus and then spread it to say your kid or grandparents so stay home, stay safe and make sure to wash your hands.
