Y/n is 16

I was walking down the streets of Vale minding my own business till I heard glass shattering not to far from where I at. I use my vampiric speed to reach the destination. When I arrived most of the fight was over just a guy with a bowler hat and a wolf faunus girl with a... scythe? Wait that design looks familiar is it.

Y/n: Ruby... RUBY!

Ruby's Pov

I just finished of the thugs and all that's left was their boss.

???: RUBY!

I look over to see who called my name and saw I guy wearing black with f/c accented trench coat.

*bang*

I grabbed my stomach and looked down at my hand and saw that it was covered in blood.

Y/n's Pov

I ran over to her as she fell to the ground. I'm so stupid I shouldn't have called out her name when she was in the middle of a battle.

Ruby: I guess... I'll never... find... him.

She let go of Crescent Rose and her body went limp. I check for a pulse but couldn't find one.

Y/n: I'm sorry but can't think of anything else that can help you.

I bite her neck and start to pump some of my blood into her. After a minute she started to breathe again. I was starving I went to one of the unconscious thugs and drank his blood filling me up. I went back over to Ruby and picked her up.

Y/n: I'll keep you safe my precious Rose.

I was about to take her back to the my dad's mansion but I was stopped by someone's semblance.

???: Stop right there vampire!

Y/n: Oh hey miss Goodwitch.

Glynda: Wait Y/n. I thought you were one of the rogue vampires.

Y/n: Sorry but could let me go.

She stops her semblance and I start walking again towards the direction of the mansion.

Glynda: Where do you think you're taking Ms. Rose?

I turn towards her.

Y/n: To my dad's mansion.

Glynda: I'm sorry but she needs to come with me to meet Prof. Ozpin.

Timeskip Ruby's Pov

I slowly open my eyes to see I'm in a some sort interrogation room with what looks like a huntress and that guy!

Ruby: Hey you could've gotten me killed you numbskull. How do you even know my name anyway?

???: I'm surprised you don't recognize your best friend.

Ruby: Wait Y/n is that really you?

Y/n: Yes I am. I missed you Rosebud.

Then a sudden realization came over me.

Ruby: Why am I so cold and thirsty?

Huntress: That would also be because of your friend.

I was about to question what she ment when the headmaster of Beacon came in.

Ozpin: Ruby Rose... (he leaned in close) you have silver eyes.

Y/n: Yeah that's not creepy at all.

Ozpin: What happened to your neck Ms... Mr. L/n what did you do?!

Y/n: The only logical thing to do at the moment. Help wouldn't arrive in time so I did what I had to do.

I ate one of the cookies while they argued and it didn't taste like it normally would it wasn't bad but it wasn't good either it was just bland.

Ruby: Ugh these cookies taste strange.

Ozpun: Well we'll have to deal with that later for now. So where did you learn this Ms. Rose?

He pulled up my fight with those thugs.

Ruby: Signal Academy.

Ozpin: They taught you how to use the most dangerous weapons ever created?

Ruby: Well one teacher in particular.

Ozpin: I only know one person with that skill level before. A dusty old crow...

Ruby: That's my Uncle Qrow he taught me everything I needed to know.

Y/n: (Mumbling) I'm gonna have to teach you some new tricks and-

Ruby: Y/n what do you mean that you need to teach me you don't use a scythe. Wait do you do you?

Y/n: Oz we need to tell her now.

Ozpin: Go ahead.

Y/n: Ruby you did die.

I can't believe it I can't be dead I never got to-

Y/n: But I brought you back.

Ruby: W-what do you mean?

Y/n: Remember when I disappeared with my dad.

Ruby: Y-yeah.

He started walking closer to me and I saw his handsome face and my heart started to beat faster.

Y/n: He took me with him to train me with my weapons and he told me he was a vampire and I was a hybrid of both human and vampire.

Ruby: Vampires aren't real.

Y/n: Really how do you explain this?

His eyes turned from e/c to red and his mouth had fangs in it.

Ruby: But if you're a vampire then wouldn't the sun burn you and kill you when we played outside together.

Ozpin: That would be true if he was a normal vampire but since his mother was human when he was born he can withstand the sun and eat normal food with no problem other than getting a sunburn if he stays out to long.

Y/n: You sad you were cold and thirsty.

Ruby: Yeah.

Y/n: In a few days you won't notice the cold but the thirst I can fix.

He tosses a bag of red liquid towards me and I catch it.

Ruby: Is this-

Y/n: Blood. Yes it is. You need to drink it.

Ruby: No that's disgusting.

Y/n: That is the only thing that you can have that won't make you feel sick. You'll have your taste buds back to mostly normal in a few days. But you will have to drink blood once a week unlike normal vampires that need to drink at least once a day. So drink that and you will be satisfied for a week.

I reluctantly bite the bag with my new sharper fangs and start to suck the blood out. It tasted so good just as good as cookies before I was a vampire. I wipe my mouth with the back of my hand in case there was any blood on my face.

Ruby: That was good. So Y/n why did you turn me into a vampire?

Y/n got closer to me.

Y/n: I did it because I...

Ruby: You what?

Y/n's Pov

Y/n: I... I love you. I couldn't stand by and let you die when I could have done something to save you.

Ruby: I love you too.

Ozpin: Now with that settled I have a question. Would you like to attend my school?

Ruby: More than anything!

Ozpin: Well okay we'll see you tomorrow.

Timeskip

I looked around on the bullhead in search of Ruby. I finally spotted her getting whatever life she had left getting squeezed out by her older sister Yang before letting go.

Yang: Sis you okay? You're very cold.

Ruby: I'm fine Yang.

I started walking up to them.

Yang: Hellooo stud muffin~.

Ruby looked behind her to see who she was talking about, which of course was me. When I was close enough Ruby clung to my arm.

Yang: Seems you're a chick magnet cutie~.

Ruby: Yang! He's mine! 

I noticed her eyes changed when she got angry but it looks like Yang missed it.

Yang: Oh so you're the guy she wouldn't stop talking about when she got home. So what's your name?

Y/n: I'm honestly surprised both my childhood friends forgot my name.

Yang: John? No he would already be in Beacon. Damon? No he is a year behind Ruby.

Y/n: Here's a hint. My dad came over only at night and I was very easily sunburned.

Yang: Hmmm... Wait Y/n is that really you. Hehe looks like Ruby doesn't want to lose you like last time.

Y/n: Trust me I'm not going anywhere soon. Besides why would I leave my new girlfriend when we just found each other.

Yang: Wait you mean... Just treat her right, and don't break her heart or I'll pound you into the ground. Got it.

Y/n: Wouldn't dream of it. By the way work on that scare tactic my dad can put that to shame.

Yang: Good.

A blonde boy ran past us looking like he is about to throw up. I quickly move out of the way of him.

Y/n: Hey watch were you're going Vomit Boy! I just had this thing dry cleaned.

I noticed Ruby was still clinging to my arm and it feels like she drawing blood.

Y/n: Ow ow Ruby please let go its starting to hurt.

Ruby quickly lets go.

Ruby: Sorry I didn't really like it when Yang was trying to flirt with you.

Yang: It seems you're very protective of your man then.

I noticed the bullhead was landing since the view from outside was lowering.

Y/n: Hey we're landing. We should get ready to get off.

Mini timeskip

We got off the bullhead and the blonde from before ran past everyone most likely to find the nearest trash can. I was behind Ruby and Yang as they were in awe at the sight of Beacon.

Ruby: Oh look guys. That kid has a collapsible staff and she has a fire sword. 

She was about to walk off before I grabbed her arm getting her to stop.

Yang: Chill sis there just weapons.

Y/n: You really went there.

Ruby: Just weapons? They're an extension of ourselves. They're a part of us.

Yang: Maybe you should try and make new friends.

Ruby: Why do I need friends when I have you and Y/n?

Yang: Actually...

A group of her friends showed up.

Yang: My friends are here. Gotta go catch up. See ya later lovebirds.

She rushed off past Ruby causing her to spin and was mumbling about where we have to go and if we had dorms yet. She was about to fall but I caught her. Our faces were so close we closed our eyes and inched closer. But it seems the world had other plans, a cart with a lot of luggage crashed into us.

???: What are you doing? 

We sat up from the fall. 

Ruby: Sorry.

???: Sorry?! Do you have any idea the damage you could have caused?

I pick up one of the cases that seems to hold dust.

???: Give me that.

She snatches the case from me. Ok now she's starting to make me mad.

???: This is dust mined and purified from the Schnee quarry.

Ruby: Uhhh...

???: What are you brain dead?

I get up, make my eyes red, and grab one of my pistols and aim it at her.

Y/n: Ok I have had enough of your princess attitude and now you insult me and my girlfriend. You have  three seconds to run off before I put a round or two into you.

This put the fear of god into her and she ran off. Ruby got up and quickly hugged me.

Ruby: Thanks Y/n I really wanted her to stop yelling at us.

Y/n: Come on we need to get to the auditorium for Ozpin's speech.

Mini timeskip

We made it to the auditorium with vomit boy, which we now know as Jaune, after we ran into him, he had no clue where to go so he followed us.

Ruby: Y/n, I see Yang let's head over to her, bye Jaune.

We left Jaune and shuffled our way through the crowd over to Yang.

Yang: Hey Ruby, Y/n goes your first day been going?

Ruby: You mean since you ditched use and got hit by a luggage cart.

Yang: You ok.

Y/n: Yeah we were about to have a moment after I caught Ruby but we got hit by that. Then we were yelled at by a prissie ice queen.

Ruby: Then he threatened her and she ran off.

Yang: Sounds like you two have had a whirlwind of a day.

We notice Ozpin about to start his speech.

Ozpin: I'll... keep this brief. You have traveled here today in search of knowledge, to hone your craft and acquire new skills, and when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But I look amongst you, and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose, direction. You assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step.

Glynda: You will gather in the ballroom tonight. Tomorrow, your initiation begins. Be ready. You are dismissed.

Bacca: Dang my arm started to hurt after I made the one part where Ruby clings to your arm.

Ruby: I may have done it to you.

Bacca: You are a part of my creative imagination how can you hurt me.

Ruby: Great look what you did you broke the fifth wall.

Bacca: Well I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter and I'll see you guys next chapter.

Ruby: Come over here and help me clean up the pieces.

Bacca: I'm coming.
