Training Days
She was now all alone for good. He clearly had not or did not care about the book which she still carried as the white pikmin was thrown into the small room. After picking herself up, she continued to read, searching for answers. She had been lied to all her life. Who was she?

You've got to appreciate my upbringing when I tell you about the families we had. Though I'd treat the others like family members, I'd always have my "family" to fall back on. It was very much like Owen's group. My brother, Pipe, was the first one I spoke to in my entire existence within this world. He explained to me, as I've already written, that I was now a part of life. Shortly after this, he introduced me to my sister, Chair, and my Uncle, Iron. How did these relations work? Simply put: they didn't.
The only thing linking us was our species. As it happens, we made up 40% of what we assumed the purple pikmin population was in those days. It must've been my Uncle that decided that he was going to form a deep connection with other purple pikmin who emerge. It took me some time after exiting The Tribe to notice that these relationships meant nothing.
As for my name, I believe it was my Uncle Iron who chose it. You may imagine it was a big deal to get a name, but no. He told me at the most random of time as if it were an afterthought. Despite this, I did love my uncle then. I don't think I'd ever have suspected who he was going to become. I loved Chair and Pipe, too, of course, but I was much more dedicated to Dave's Tribe than, what I assumed then was, my family.
So, war. War was coming. We had to train. The Tribe began to become a darker place. The first thing that happened following the prophet's announcement was what was called 'Weapon Bonding', which quite literally was picking up a weapon which will become yours. Nobody in the Tribe wanted war, but I think this was the best part of it. Who didn't want a free tool?
Naturally, we were one of the last ones to go into the Weapon Bonding Hall. There were hundreds of weapons on display. I saw swords, mallets, bows, spears, staffs and even some sort of giant cannon.
Queenie dashed through all of us and flew around the whole hall with joy. We didn't really know much about Queenie yet as she had only just arrived in our group. We all loved her dearly, though. Maybe she liked weapons? As the rest of us began to wander around, I noticed Wallace inspecting the cannon and asking questions to one of the helpers around the room. I soon looked over to see that Queenie had settled with a small axe which she barely could fit in her hands. She then wandered out of the room with one of these helpers, where I noticed Whisper. She, in fact, wasn't looking around. She had been waiting patiently for us to finish. I wandered over to her, I remember, and asked her, "What's going on?"
She simply smiled and said, "Nothing much." In my head, this meant that she'd begin to look for weapons soon, but she continued not to. That's fine, I thought to myself, she must be in shock. Everyone was in shock because of the approaching war. I assumed that she was dealing with it in her own way, little did I know that she already had everything figured out.
Wallace then walked out of the room without taking anything. I decided not to question it because he did that a lot. At this moment, I wondered whether he was going to make a weapon of his own. Sure enough, he was.
I decided to look around until I see what I want. By this point, everyone had gone, even Whisper. There remained a single helper, a familiar purple who I recognized to be my brother, Pipe. I picked up a sword. To my surprise, it seemed that I was pretty skilled. With this, I began to leave the room, content with my weapon.
"Brick." I turned back around to see my brother. "We're gonna win this war." He told me. "I know we will because we have you." I smiled. "If your cuteness doesn't wear off on them, your sword power will kill them." My eyes narrowed.
"Wh-What do you mean?" I asked my brother, a tear in my eye. I didn't understand. Obviously, I didn't understand war yet.
Pipe's eyes wandered around. "You've got neat skills with that sword. I believe that it'll get you a high kill count in the war against the opponents."
"Kill...count?" I cried. I dropped the sword and dashed out of the room. Whilst now I may see killing an opponent as a victory, I wasn't always this way. My brother didn't go after me. He didn't understand what I did not understand.

The door opened and I saw him. "We need to talk." He said another book in his hand.
