Later that night, Andrew slipped into my room as I laid on my bed, watching TV.
He closed the door and dived into my bed with his head on my lap, and snuggled into my stomach.
I giggled. "What are you doing?"
"Shh, just let me be," he murmured into my bathrobe that I was wearing and sucked in a deep breath of air. "You smell like lavender."
"It's the hotel soap. Hey, get up, you're heavy." My heart had started beating fast on its own accord.
"Mmm," he made an annoyed sound and remained on my stomach. "Let me be happy in peace."
I stayed still for a while before awkwardly reaching for the remote and changed the channels. I landed up on a sports channel where some badminton game was going on. I tried to concentrate on the game but I got distracted. It was hard to concentrate with a person snuggling into you.
"The show was really good today," Andrew said, but I was way too distracted to understand what he was saying.
"Huh?" I asked, looking down at him. He chuckled a little and looked at me.
"I said, the show was really good today."
"Oh." I cleared my throat. "Um, yeah, it was."
Andrew knitted his eyebrows together. "You seem absentminded."
"What? N-no."
He raised himself on his elbow and looked at me, as if he was studying me. I stared back. He raised an eyebrow. I blinked at him.
Then the telephone started ringing.
I pushed Andrew off me and reached for the telephone. Turned out it was just room service asking what I wanted for dinner.
"Anyways, I'll be in my room. Holler if you need me," Andrew said after I had finished ordering my food, and winked. Then he slipped out of my room, shutting the door. I placed my hand on my heart, wondering why the hell was it thumping so loudly.
Our live shows continued as we travelled across North America. Almost every other show was sold out. From NYC, we went to Pennsylvania, then Chicago, Houston, Phoenix, and a few other cities before coming back to LA, where our last show would be held.
For the past three weeks, we have been travelling from stadium to stadium, city to city, hotel to hotel, and by the time our tour ended, I was drained off of all the energy in my body.
After the last show, we had a final meet and greet before heading back home.
The second I crossed the threshold of our house, I dropped the luggage on the floor, let out a groan and dumped myself onto the sofa.
"Oof, already?" Andrew laughed as he closed the front door. I gave out a sigh in response.
"How are you so tired, I'm, like, bustling with energy," Andrew said as he sat himself down on the table in front of the sofa, looking at me.
"I don't know, maybe because I'm a human and you're a unicorn." I muttered.
"I'm. So. Tired. You have don't even have this much idea," I drawled on, my eyes half closing, and pinched my forefinger and my thumb to illustrate how little idea he had about my tiredness.
He laughed, tipping his head back. "I may have the tiniest idea because you're almost asleep."
"Mmm."
"I just wanted to talk about how amazing the tour was. And also, how much money that came in, woo!" He continued.
"Mmm hmm."
"Did you see that sign that fan made? What was it? Wait, shit, I can't remember. I laughed so much looking at it, it was ridiculous and then. . ."
His voice started fading out as my eyesight became blurry. I closed my eyes, and in no time, I was fast asleep.
And I didn't notice how he stopped talking suddenly when he realised I was too deep into my slumber to hear him. Nor did I notice how he looked at my sleeping form for so long with a soft expression, before brushing my cheek, and a few stray strands of hair away from my face. I didn't notice when he gently picked me up in his arms and carried me to my bed, and tucked me in. And I didn't notice how he left a soft kiss on my forehead before smiling and leaving my room, shutting the door.
But I did notice the next day, when I woke up in the morning, that I had magically appeared in my bedroom from the sofa.
I slowly sat up on my bed, stretching, and got the kicks out of my back. I had fallen asleep in yesterday's clothes. Feeling icky, I rushed into the bathroom first thing, and freshened up, taking a shower.
After showering, I put on some clothes and walked down to the kitchen. Andrew was already up, running on the treadmill. I looked at the time.
"Woah," I exclaimed. "Twelve noon?"
"Yeah," Andrew huffed, breathlessly.
"I was sleeping for twelve hours?" I said, disbelievingly.
I looked at him. "And why the hell are you exercising in the middle of the day."
"Because. . .I too woke up. . .just an hour ago. . .hold on a second." He huffed and held up his hand before stepping down from the treadmill, catching his breath. "Yeah. . .so that's why."
I looked down his body. "Ew, you're all sweaty."
"What, did you expect me to be smelling like roses and dahlias while exercising?" He raised an eyebrow. I shook my head at him, rolling my eyes, and walked away.
"Where are you going?"
Before I could comprehend, Andrew had plastered himself on my back, hugging me, sweat and all.
"Ew! Andrew! You're literally sweating buckets," I grimaced and desperately tried to push him away. He laughed wickedly, before letting me go, grabbing a towel and brushing his sweat away.
"I'm going to shower." He announced.
I gave him a sideway glance. "Please do."
After a while, I grabbed a biscuit and bit into it as my phone screen lit up. It was a text from Felix. We had been texting a little lately.
He had sent me a meme. It was a video of an Indian girl singing in an overly exaggerated brown accent.
Lmao, tf is that, I texted him.
Daz you, darling. He replied.
I don't sound like that when I sing -_-
Yes you doo. You always roll your r's in this weird way.
Hnfpf.
It's cute tho ;)
I grimaced. Don't u try to flirt with me.
Flirting? 😶 that was just a compliment.
Orrrr.....
Was it??? 😏😏
I laughed at his text. You're so annoying 😑😂.
"What are you laughing at?" Andrew said from behind me, and I jumped.
"Oh! Uh. . .nothing, just a meme." I replied.
"Yeah? Show me, I wanna laugh too."
"Oh, uh no, it's not that funny," I dismissed him. I don't why, but I didn't want him to know that Felix was the who had sent me the meme.
"Huh. Okay." He gave me a quizzical look. "Anyways. Let's watch a movie."
Before I could sat anything, he grabbed my hand and dragged me towards the living room, leaving me with no choice but to follow.
