"Hey" James says as I get into his car.
"Hey" I reply smiling at him.

"Ready for the new year?" He asks as he starts the cars engine.

"Yup, ready as I can be" I reply smiling from ear to ear. James has always asked how I felt every day which is sweet of him, he always takes how I feel into consideration and never let's me down then again he has never hurt me ever. Twenty One Pilots song stressed out starts to play on the radio and James turns it up loader as we leave his house and head to school.

Even though high school is full of the fake, the play boys, the sluts, the jocks etc when you have that one friend who has always been there for you and sticks by you through all the bad days you know that you can get through anything so long as you have each other and that person for me is James. 20 minutes later we arrive at the school car park where every student parks their car.

James and I get out of his BMW and head to the fountain that stood in the middle of the court yard, we took a seat at the bench beside it.

"Its a nice day isn't it Lindy?" James asks whilst motioning his arm to all around us.

"Yeah it is isn't it, first time it has been sunny for a while." I reply smiling at him.

Before James could speak Wendy Berkeley walks up to us with her friends in toe. "look what we have here, freak and geek, you guys should totally date" Wendy says with a bitchy tone.

"Shit Wendy do you have to be such a mole" James says "do you seriously have nothing better to do with your life other then attempting to make others lives miserable, run along now Wendy I'm starting to smell bullshit." James finishes and I have to bite my tongue to stop myself from laughing.

That was the best comeback I could have ever heard James say. I look straight at Wendy she pouts and stomps her foot as she walks away along with her group of wonna bees.

I look straight at James "OMG James I cant believe that just happened." I tell him as I laugh.

"Yeah I'm pretty happy with myself for that" he says smiling down at me.

After siting at the bench for 5 more minutes the bell rings and was time for us to go to class. James and I head inside to our lockers.

"I'll see you at recess kay?" James says giving me a hug I nod in response and he heads off to his class waving good bye in return.

I close my locker and go to my class but not before seeing Wendy standing behind where my locker door was when opened. I tried to walk around her and avoid her completly.

"Where are do you think your going Lindsay" Wendy says with a malicious tone. I just look at her not daring to speak. The last time I stood up for myself she flat out had beaten the crap out of me, I did not want a repeat of that event again.

"I asked you a question bitch" she says pushing me into my locker which made a loud bang in return. "Oh look girls shes tearing up" she says but couldn't finish when a teacher coughed loudly.

"Thats enough Wendy Berkeley." The teacher says but not before Wendy pushed me again into the locker and whispered "watcher your" and smiles at him and walks off flicking her hair over her shoulder.

The teacher walks over to me "Are you okay?" He asks

"Yeah I'm okay" I tell him and grab my books and walk to my first class which had started 10 minutes ago.
