"I wish you the best" Salma fiddled with her fingers.

"Thank you" his voice came again.

CHAPTER TWENTY SEVEN
Third Person's POV
Nasir walked away smiling at how Salma was so shy when he was close to her. He shook his head to let go of the thought because he strangely started remembering all the time they've spent together.

"You are on the field bro" Jackson nudged him before they started the game and took their positions.

"Come on, come onnnnn" Salma and other students and teachers among the audience shouted when Hammad was a few inches from scoring a goal but the opposing team's goalkeeper was one of a hell good at his job. He never gives anyone any chance. The school plays very good. The game was very difficult because both teams knew what they were into.

"You should calm down and play this game, these guys are very good but you guys are winners, you are fighters right?" The coach started talking to them during the 15 minute break after the first half of the game.

"This game won't be a good one if you don't score goals, u and I quite know that if no goal is scored extra time... penalty... you get what I'm tryna say" the coach went on.

"Their defenders are really good, Nasir, Joel and Hammad, u shouldn't get too close to them, u saw what he did to..."

"Yes sir, I did"

They went back in and the game was still the same till it was 10 minutes for the time to end and Jackson scored a goal, the entire audience roared with shouts and other "football" stuff.

The game resumed and in less than 2 minutes, Nasir scored another goal, making them have 2-0 against the other team.

The stadium was filled with bustling, each person was talking about one thing or another.

"Naaasssiirrrr" Salma jumped on Nasir, he staggered because she caught him off guard. Jackson closed his mouth in perplexion while a few students just smiled at them.

"Awwww, this is so cute" a girl fangirled

"Awww" was all that was heard around them.

"Police..."

"...Haram Police" Nasir quietly said in her ears because her hands were wrapped around his neck and her head was calmly rested on his broad chest. It was as if her head which was wrapped in a scarf was meant to be there. His hot breath fanned her ears because of their closure.

Salma immediately dropped her hands and took a step back when she realized what she did.

Nasir just smiled widely and frowned turning his head around to make sure no one saw him but it was too late because Hammad and Jackson were standing together and looking at him.

Salma would have had a red face if she had a very light skin but she doesn't so she was safe at that moment. Salma had a really good skin that wasn't dark, chocolate or light, it was just in between.

"Come on" Nasir said when he noticed she was frozen, she quietly followed him.

The opposing team's coach walked to where Nasir and their coach were talking about the game, the happiness and smiles were clear on their faces.

"Heyy man, you've got good boys there" The man chuckled while stretching out his hands and smiling at each of the player.

"Thank you so much, your boys are equally good, you've trained them really well, that's amazing" the conversation went on between the two men. They were both very happy, at the end of the conversation, numbers were exchanged because the coach had to go for something urgent.

"Yeahh, I'll go back to my school first" The coach went on to tell them that the school was located in one of the Northern States of the Country which made transportation a lil less straining.

"Hello Sir..." Mr Elijah, the school coach called the principal, Mr Macaulay to let him know their progress.

"Yes...the finale will be on Saturday and  award Dinner is on Sunday, our stand in the game will be determined tomorrow..." Mr Elijah continued talking with Mr Macaulay.

"It'd be cool if I could get another hug u know..." Nasir quietly said to Salma who was sitting opposite his seat during dinner but her shyness got tripled because of what happened.

"Stop teasing this girl" Hammad looked down and started laughing. Jackson went to get them their food so he wasn't able to fill in with the teasing.

"Jackson, get the damn food urgently before I swallow someone beautiful today" Nasir shouted and everyone in the cafe laughed happily at him

"Heyy, stop it Nas" Salma spoke for the first time.

"You just couldn't resist this hot body, could you?" Nasir laughed out loud

"Yeahh, blah blah blah blah" Salma rolled her eyes.

"Jack, do you want to get everything down your damn throat, what are you doing for goodness sake?" Hammad called out Jackson because he was spending more time than usual at the counter. It was a small cafe, Salma suggested they look for a local cafe around because she was tired of the rich kids smells, her words please.

"We need to eat healthy food, u all know we are having games tomorrow and if we qualify which I know we'll do. We'd be able to play the finale too" Jackson dropped one of the trays while the waiter carried the other.

"Eeeewwwww" Nasir looked at the tray

"So, this was what you ordered because I know this cafe doesn't serve this" Hammad said

"I can't eat this with you guys, I'm gonna go get mah junk food people!" Salma changed her accent to annoy them.

After much complains, they finished eating the food and went back to the hotel.

The next day's game ended with Nasir and his team qualifying again. The Host school had an unplanned dinner party the night before the finale day.

"U know what..." Salma called her aunt on video call and narrated all that happened within the last few days because they didn't talk. Zainab had a hectic day at one of the companies she signed a contract with.

"OMG Salma, I think you like him" Zainab winked

"You better stop it aunt" Salma laughed

"I think you do, you were the one that told me he's just different these days and you find him attractive too. I assume that's a journey of fallinggggg..." Zainab teased her.

"Nasir has a really good character but he has been through a lot. I'm actually surprised he made friends in your school, well that's his story to tell" Zainab started talking about him and the atmosphere became thick.

"Aunt Zee, I don't like Nasir..." Zainab looked at her

"...I'm just tryna clear things off before I go offline" Zainab nodded her head not believing what she said.

"We have a dinner party, what should I wear?" Salma asked Zainab

Initially, that was what she called her for but she drifted when the story telling became interesting.

"Why didn't you tell me you had..."

"It's an unplanned one" Salma answered her before she even completes her question.

"Hmm, I don't even know, u can't wear anything a bit formal or too casual...hmm..." Zainab went on and on for a few minutes and she hung up the call after asking her how many hours remained till the dinner.

"This package is for you ma'am" Salma collected a package from a young man that knocked on her door. She quickly locked it and went back in to see, her name was boldly written so she didn't bother to question the delivery guy.

"OMG" she squealed when she opened the package and dropped down the cloth, it was a long blue gown that had a bunch of small and a lil big silver rhinestones. She twirled with the gown on her and it shined on the walls of the room. She dipped her hand again and brought out silver slippers coupled with a matching small purse.

"I love Aunt Zee..." She smiled when she brought out another item, a very light shade of blue scarf.

"This is mind blowing" she immediately went into the bathroom, took a quick shower and was on her way to her bed when she almost tripped because of how happy she was about the new dress.

"This, sure must have cost her a fortune" she went on murmuring as she was putting on her clothes.

"I'm gonna look spectacular today" she brought out a small purse that contained a few makeup items, just lipgloss, powder and kohl.

"This is simple geometry, I'll do it... I'll do it... I can do it... I'm Salma..." Salma went on and on motivating herself to put the kohl but her eyes keep on closing immediately the kohl eyeliner gets closer.

"Oh come on, how do they do it?" She gave up when there was no sign she'd be able to do it.

She got herself dressed up and stood in front of the tiny mirror that reflected her outer self, she stared into the mirror for a few minutes and shook her head.

"It's very true, the mirror helps us see our inner self" she murmured again.

"Hello..." She picked up her phone

"Almost everyone is down, where are you? Salma spending a hundred years to get ready for a dinner?" A question blasted from Nasir over the phone.

"Do not underestimate me...did you just roll your eyes?" Salma asked unbelievably even though she wasn't seeing him.

"Should I come get you down bridal style?" Nasir calmly asked

"Do you miss me already?" Salma surprisingly flirted.

"OMG, where's this coming from?" Salma pinched herself

"I'm coming..."

"Don't co..." The line went off before she could even reply

She picked her purse and decided she'd leave before he even gets to the elevator.

"Wooowww, you look so... incomplete...!" Salma smiled when the words left the girl's mouth. It was the same girl that defended her yesterday.

"Come on, lemme change this look of yours, I'm a make-up artist not a vampire, don't be scared" the girl laughed

In 10 minutes, the girl completed a simple look on Salma's face but there was a tiny problem, Salma couldn't leave her eyes open for the kohl.

"Wow, first time I'm meeting someone like you, one last time please, just open your eyes, slowly" the girl tried once again.

"Done!" Salma snapped because she was actually so deep into looking at the reflection of Nasir in the mirror that she got distracted and didn't know when the girl finished with the eyeliner. She slowly turned and he was standing at the door directly facing the mirror. He had a black suit, a blue tie and small handkerchief tucked in. He smiled and strengthened up putting one hand in his pocket.

"You are pretty" he walked closer

"You are wearing matching clothes, OMG, it's trueeeeee, you are dating!!" The girl shouted

Salma and Nasir were both quiet and shocked for a second. The girl went on to tell them how their hug was in her school's weekly magazine and on their websites.

"The seniors are the ones running the website and magazine"

"No, we are not..."

"Yes, we are a couple" Nasir interrupted Salma who was about to tell the girl there weren't in a relationship.

"This matching stuff was coinci..."

"We planned it" Nasir interrupted again. He was doing it on purpose because he wasn't looking at her. He put his hand through his head when he noticed her facial expression.

"I'm Zuwaira by the way" the mysterious make up artist introduced herself.

"...since you'll keep on being cute together and not ask me for my name" she added

Salma narrowed her eyes and quickly camouflaged her face with happiness towards the young girl who was two grade lower than her.

"I heard noises from this room and it was opened while I was passing... that's how I found you" Nasir chuckled

"You will pay for what you did" Salma gritted her teeth.

"Don't you want such a handsome dude, like me?" Nasir laughed out loud when he saw her expression

"You'll get uglier if you do that" Nasir looked down and smiled curtly.
