(Y/N): Hey, Yuna. Wake the heck up, will 'ya?

Gura: Today's the day. We gotta work at the royal capital and be guardians to the students.

Fina: *Nods* That's right. You'll be late if you don't wake up.

Yuna: *Grunts* I really don't want to escort any students. I'm sure that the kids of nobles, powerful families, and rich people are all good-for-nothings. I definitely won't get along with them.

Gura: *Sigh* You agreed on helping the students! Come on, Yuna. Up and at 'em! Feet on the floor, let's go!

Yuna: Not gonna. You two are the only ones who are students while I'm just a shut-in.

Gura: Yes. Even if you don't have experience, we can still help each other out and do our best. Besides, we taught you not to judge others before getting to know them first.

Fina then gives you and Gura mischievous look smile as if she wants to do something. You and Gura looked at each other and nodded as the three of you hold the blanket and pulled it until Yuna is seeing rolling over at the side of the bed until Fina sopke up.

Fina: Good morning, Yuna Sis~!

(Y/N): Come on, Yuna. Up for bed and breakfast~!

Gura: Let's go~!

Yuna: *Gets up* Good morning, you guys...

-Time Skip-

Later, the three of you arrived at the Ellalaura's mansion so you three can head to the job location.

Shia: Mister (Y/N)! Miss Gura! Miss Yuna! Long time no see!

Shia is seen shaking your hands one at a time after greeting each other.

Yuna: Yeah, long time no see.

(Y/N): *Nods* Mm.

Gura: It sure has.

Shia: *Clasps her hands* I'm so happy you three are escorting us on our hands-on training.

(Y/N): I mean, your mother here asked us to help.

Ellalaura: Let me go over the details one more time. Your jobs will be to escort the students during their outdoor field training. Shia: *Awkward* She explained that you three have hunted tiger wolves, orcs, and other large monsters by yourselves. You three are young adventurers that the guild anticipates will have a brighter future.

(Y/N): *Raised eyebrow* Wow...that sounds like some sort of a white lie.

Shia: So, everyone is expecting some cool adventurers...

Yuna: *Surprised* Hold on, what? No! We're actually three animals, though! *Looks at Ellalaura* Uh, Miss Ellalaura?!

Ellalaura: I didn't say anything that wasn't true.

Yuna: You didn't tell them about how we look, right? They'll definitely talk badly about us if they see us like this, right?!

Gura: *Stands up and places her hand on Yuna's shoulder* Calm down now, Yuna. We'll just have to embrace the unexpected, even if Ellalaura informed them beforehand.

Ellalaura: *Nods* Gura's right, Yuna. Even if I did tell you the truth, it goes the same way as a certain girl who underestimated you three at first and challenged (Y/N) to a fight.

Ellalaura said with her teasing while Shia felt embarrassed from the past.

Ellalaura: And Shia, I'd like you to do the hands-on training while acting like you don't know (Y/N), Gura, and Yuna.

Shia: What?!

Ellalaura: There are times when leaders must keep quiet about certain things. You need to seal the information within your heart while keeping those around you happy and agreeable. You are also the daughter of a noble.

Shia thinks for a moment about Ellalaura's words before responding back with a firm agreement.

Yuna: (Nobles have it pretty rough themselves.)

(Y/N): How long does this take for our escort to reach the destination?

Ellalaura: It's a village about two days away by carriage. They'll be responsible for delivering flour there. The entire trip should take four to five days.

Gura: So it's like a week of traveling, huh?

Yuna: Can we take our Summons with us? You know, Kumayuru, Kumakyu, Alphax, and Bloop?

Ellalaura: Well, I don't want the students to feel too safe because they think your Summons will protect them.

Shia: And who is "Bloop" by the way?

Gura: Oh, Bloop's my Summon~! I haven't introduced him to you, Shia. Come on out, Bloop!

That is when a bubble would appear in thin air and Bloop is seen inside the bubble which surprised Shia.

Shia: *Points at Bloop* Is that Bloop, Gura? It looks like a cute shark!

Gura: *Nods with a smile* Of course~! I obtained him after (Y/N) and I entered a mystery dungeon which takes place after we left the Royal Capital.

Bloop then floats towards Shia as he gives off a friendly wave from his right pectoral fin.

Ellalaura: Hello again, Bloop. How are you doing today?

Bloop nodded using his upper body to respond to Ellalaura's question.

Shia: You know this, mother?

Ellalaura: *Nods* Of course. Gura introduced Bloop when she and her friends went to go to the Royal Capital to have fun with Princess Flora.

Shia: I see. Nice to meet you, Bloop.

Bloop nodded again in reply to Shia's greeting before floating back to Gura.

Ellalaura: Alright, back to the discussion about your Summons.

Yuna: Ahem, what about Kumayuru and Kumakyu as Bear Cubs?

Shia & Ellalaura: Bear Cubs?

Yuna then summoned out the small, yet cuter version of Kumayuru and Kumakyu.

Ellalaura: *Shocked, but smiling* Wh-What?!

Shia: They're so cute! Are they Kumayuru and Kumakyu's children?!

Yuna: *Shakes her head* No, it's the people, I mean, the bears themselves. My summon beasts are special and can shrink in size.

Shia: *Rubs her face on Kumakyu* I'll be able to get through my practical with these guys by my side!

Ellalaura: What about your Summon, (Y/N)?

(Y/N): *Awkwardly darted his eyes away* Uh, well...

You then summoned Alphax by snapping your fingers until everyone saw a white pentagram appear until they see Alphax's tall human body appeared out of the pentagram itself.

Alphax: Whew, about time I got out. Oh? Shia and Ellalaura, been a while, hasn't it?

Shia and Ellalaura were surprised to see Alphax, but she was not in her wolf wolf.

Shia: Eh? Is that really Alphax, (Y/N)?

(Y/N): *Awkwardly laughs* Ahaha...yeah, that's her. However, Alphax evolved at a mysterious pool when Gura and I entered the mystery dungeon together. Alphax's evolution, happened not too long ago after we left the Royal Capital. Don't worry, she can still revert back to her wolf form.

Ellalaura: I see. But, I don't know how can Alphax blend into escorting the students.

Alphax smirked and said...

Alphax: Who says I can't?

Everyone looks at Alphax in confusion until Alphax's body begins to glow as her tall body suddenly becomes smaller like a child until her body stops glowing, revealing a smaller version of Alphax.

Alphax: Yo! Like my new form, eh?

Everyone was shocked to see Alphax's smaller form which looks like a Chibi version of herself until you spoke up...

(Y/N): I didn't know you could do that, Alphax!

Alphax: *Boisterous Laughter*Ahahaha! You never knew that, (Y/N)~!

Alphax then runs up to the table and jumps above high before landing gracefully which amazes everyone.

Shia: Whoa, you look really cute in that form, Alphax!

Alphax: *Grins* Hehe, thanks~!

You then picked up Alphax's chibi form and patted her head as she took a liking to it.

(Y/N): So, what do you think, Ellalaura? Is this good?

Ellalaura: Well, it should be fine.

Shia: Alright~!!

Gura: *Smiles* That's a good thing to hear.

Later, everyone arrived at the location of where the academy was, and it was quite majestic.

Yuna: So this is the Academy?

Gura: And it's huge.

Yuna: Children ranging from common families in the capital to the families of nobles attend this academy.

(Y/N): This academy reminds me of Harry Potter.

Ellalaura: Harry...who now?

(Y/N): Nothing.

Yuna: Anyways, does that mean that there's a chance of having some normal students?

Ellalaura: You three will be escorting the son of the knights' captain, and prime minister, as well as the daughter of an upper-class noble.

Yuna: *Smiles innocently* Can I go home?

(Y/N)/Alphax/Gura: *Deadpanned* Let's not do that.

-Very Short Time Skip-

Not long after, everyone arrived inside the waiting room and it felt so awkward due to how nobody was talking and the only thing that everyone heard was the clock ticking.

Yuna: *Nervous*

Gura: *Internally Nervous*

(Y/N) & Alphax: . . .

That is when the Teacher with the monocle on his right eye cleared his throat to break the awkwardness.

Teacher: These three...Erm, the adventurers that were personally chosen by Lady Ellalaura?

Ellalaura: Yes I personally guarantee their capabilities.

Teacher: I understand. I believe in Lady Ellalaura.

Yuna & Gura: Eh?

(Y/N) & Alphax: *Raised Eyebrow*

Teacher: Now, Miss Yuna, Mister (Y/N), and Miss Gura, I'll introduce you three to the students you'll be escorting. *Looks at the door* Come in.

And now, there were four students entered the room and saw Shia who was one of them while the other three were baffled.

Yuna: (The energetic-looking boy with short brown hair is the son of the captain of the knights, Marix..)

(Y/N): (The smart nerdy-looking man with the green hair that matches Yuna's is the son of the prime minister, Timol.)

Gura: (And the daughter with the long silver hair of the upper-class noble family is Cattleya.)

Marix: *Points at Gura, (Y/N), and Yuna* Teacher, why is there a bear, shark, and wolf here?

Teacher: These animals- Ahem! Erm, Miss Yuna, the Bear. Miss Gura, the Shark. And Mister (Y/N), the Wolf are the adventurers that will follow you as your escort.

Marix: *Shocked* Huh? What are you saying, Teacher? *Points at Gura, (Y/N), Yuna* How in the world are these three adventurers?! *Turns to his friends* Right, everyone?

Cattleya: Th-That's right, Teacher. Please don't joke around with us.

Everyone except Ellalaura and the Teacher looked at Shia's expression and you could tell that she expected that it was going to happen.

Ellalaura: *Smiles* My, this is not a joke. They're the adventurers I personally requested to join us.

Marix/Timol/Cattleya: But...

Toml: Lady Ellaura, may we confirm their guild card?

Ellalaura: My word is not enough for you?

(Y/N): Lady Ellauara, it's best not to go further than just words. *Pulls out his Guild Card from his pocket* Here, my Guild card. *Looks at Yuna and Gura* Yuna, Gura, you two should do the same.

Both Yuna and Gua nodded as they pulled out their own guild cards and showed them to Marix, Cattleya, and Timol.

Marix/Timol/Cattleya:: *Looks at Yuna's guild card* Bear? *Looks at (Y/N)'s guild card* Wolf Warrior? *Looks at Gura's guild card* Atlantean?

The three students mutter your job names about three times before making up their own thoughts.

Marix: Could these be those things?

Timol & Cattleya: *Nods* Definitely.

Alphax: *Raised eyebrow* (Those things?)

Marix: Lady Ellalaura, we're not responsible for what happens to them, correct?

Ellaura: Yes.

Marix: I'm fine with it, as long as we're not held responsible.

Timol: Me, too. Even without an adventurer, we can handle this level of training.

Marix: *Looks over at Shia and Cattleya* Are the two of you okay with this?

Cattleya: Yes, I'll just consider this another part of our hands-on training.

Shia: *Nervous* O-Of course I'm fine with it, haha...

Yuna: *Sweatdrops* (I want to go home.)

Cattleya: It's been bothering me for a while. Why are there little bears, a small wolf...girl, and a little shark here?

Gura: Well...they're our Summons.

Marix: *Scoffs* Hmph. They're even bringing pets? Where'd these spoiled young children come from?

Yuna & Gura: Young children?

(Y/N): *Sighs* (Asshole...but I gotta suppress it. I should not judge one's behavior.)

Later, all of you were heading to where the carriages were.

Shia: *Whispers to you three* I'm so sorry abut everything.

Yuna: Don't worry about it.

(Y/N): *Nods* Mm.

Gura: I mean, I can't blame them for being skeptical.

(Y/N): Say, what was the "those things" they were talking about?

Shia: Oh, that's...They probably think that you three are rich and spoiled children who bought their guild experience with money.

Yuna: Buy experience?

(Y/N): What does that mean?

Shia: Some people will hire high-level adventurers to form a party with them and gather false hunting results on their cards. It sounds stupid, but there are people in the upper class who do things like that.

(Y/N): (So, it's basically buying one's account just for followers and other shit you'd see in social media and games. But that's different which is just by trading accounts and the other is just hiring someone to do the job for you.)

Gura: *Rolls her eyes* Jeez, no wonder why said that to us earlier.

Shia: *Nods in agreement* Yeah.

Yuna: They thought we were rich adventurers who took the easy way up.

(Y/N): Hmph. Just wait and see to show what we're truly capable of.

Shia: *Grins* Yeah, they'll be speechless.

Not long after, everyone arrived at the stables and saw there was only one carriage which is big enough to fit the whole group.

Marix: Looks like we're the last group. Let's get ready and go, Timol.

Timol: Yeah.

Yuna: The last group?

Shia: There are multiple groups participating in this hands-on training.

Cattleya: (I wonder what kind of adventurers are escorting the other groups.)

Marix: *Commanding* Cattleya. Shia. Cut the chatter and get ready! *Looks at Gura, (Y/N), and Yuna* Hey, you three.

(Y/N)/Gura/Yuna: Hm?

Marix: Don't get in our way.

Timol: It'd be terrible if our score dropped because of something stupid.

Yuna: *Annoyed* (Terrible).

Gura: *Sarcastic* (Okay, Mr. Perfectionists)

Shia: *Defensive* Both of you, don't be rude. We should be polite to a person who's kind enough to escort us.

Cattleya: That's right. It doesn't matter why. Lady Ellalara chose them.

Marix: *Mocking* Hmph. There's no need to be polite to people playing adventurers.

Gura then noticed Yuna going to confront him, but she quickly grabbed Yuna's right arm and shook her head as if to say "Not worth it". Shia then spoke up with enthusiasm in her voice because she didn't want to escalate the situation further.

Shia: Alright, everyone. Let's prepare the carriages.

(Y/N): *Nods* Mm.

-Time Skip to Sunset-

Hours later, it was sunset. Everyone stopped and set up for a camp for the night.

Yuna: *Stretches* Welp, the first day went without a hitch. We're camping out in a place like this, huh?

(Y/N): So it seems.

Yuna: *Sighs* I wish we could use the bear house.

Gura: I get it.,Yuna. However, we can't risk getting attention to you or us. We did camp out without the bear house when we first rode to the royal capital.

Yuna: Yeah, you're right.

Marix: Let's get started. *Points at himself* I'll take care of the horses.

Timol: I'll go find a source of water.

Cattleya: Shia and I will prepare our meals.

Shia: I'll go and collect some firewood.

Marix: Oh, yeah. Make sure have someone with you when you go to the bathroom.

Shia: *Uncomfortable* Whoa...

Cattleya: *Disappointed* What a complete lack of delicacy.

Marix: *Flustered* What? Didn't the teacher tell us to do that?!

Timol: Okay, okay. Let's all start. *Pushes Marix*

Marix: Hey, wait! I'm not done talking!

-Time Skip in the Evening-

Marix: We'll take turns keeping watch. I'll go first, then Timol, Cattleya, and Shia. Make sure to rest properly. You'll have to do your shift properly, even if you can't sleep.

Everyone except (Y/N)/Gura/Yuna: Understood.

Yuna: (Since we're not part of the watch, we can just sleep, right? They're totally treating us like we don't exist)

(Y/N): *Sigh* You two should get some sleep. I'll join up with the other dude.

Gura: Eh? You sure, (Y/N)?

(Y/N): *Nods* Yeah. Even if he treats us like an ass, he can't be alone if he gets ambushed during the night watches. *Looks back at Yuna and Gura* Go, get some sleep.

Yuna and Gura looked at each other as they all went to the carriage with Shia and Cattleya and went to sleep after they were handed blankets by Timol.

Once that was done, you sat down on a log along with Chibi Alphax as the two of you were close to the fire. Both you and Alphax begin to talk to each other telepathically...

(Y/N): (How are you doing, Alphax?)

Alphax: *Nonchalant* (Eh, I'm doing fine, Master.)

(Y/N): (I see. *Playful* Nothing beats a good ol' campfire out here with friends, ain't it?)

Alphax: *Smirks* (Heh, sure is.)

That is when Alphax would notice Marix is staring at you two.

Alphax: (Master. Marix is staring at us.)

(Y/N): (Yeah, I know.)

You then looked over to Marix and asked...

(Y/N): Something you need? You've been staring at me for the past a minute and a half.

Marix: Hmph. I'm just wondering why you're out here. I'm the only person to just stand out and take watch. Not you.

You rolled your eyes before saying...

(Y/N): I appreciate the tough guy act. As your escort, I must also ensure the safety of the students, that is my job, whether you feel like it or not.

Marix: Tch, I don't need you to protect me or my friends.

(Y/N): I get it, but you'd be dead if you're not careful with your surroundings once you take the night watch by yourself. Nonetheless, you learn and know how to appreciate camaraderie throughout the whole trip, not to create conflict within the group. Regardless of what you think of us, we'll prove you wrong because actions speak louder than words.

Marix: *Smirks* Heh, I'd like to see you try, Wolf.

(Y/N): Hmph, just wait 'til you see us in action.

You then returned to the campfire and used a stick to poke through the campfire to ignite the flames a bit as you and Marix would take the night watch together until one of you would get tired and take turns for the night.

After camping out for the night, all of you continued to ride your way to the location until Kumayuru and Kumakyu let out a distressed cry as if they detected something up ahead.

Bloop, on the other hand, jumps up and down with a concerned expression along with his pectoral fins waving up and down, which Gura took notice of.

Yuna: Could it be?

Yuna then uses her bear-detecting skills and finds five monsters up ahead.

Gawr Gura begins to sniff out due to her shark senses skills, along with you and Alphax's wolf senses to sniff out the danger up front until the two of you can tell that it was the scent of goblins. Plus, there were only five of them.

(Y/N): (Damn, goblins up ahead!)

Gura: (We have to warn everyone!)

You looked at Yuna and Gura as they all nodded their heads, indicating that they sensed the danger.

Yuna: *Leans over to Shia's left ear* Looks like all of us are sensing monsters nearby.

Shia: Huh? You guys can do something like that?

Gura: *Whispers over* Oh come on, what do you take us for? (Y/N), Alphax, Bloop, and I have a strong sense of smell. Kumayuru and Kumakyu also have the ability to detect monsters, just like Yuna.

Shia: *Nods* That's amazing...!

(Y//N): *Whispers over* But anyway, we should act quickly before those goblins get to us.

Shia: Well, let's tell them this time so everyone has more faith in you three.

Gura: Eh? Are you sure?

Shia: It's better to tell everyone that you three have awesome skills like those. It would be terrible if the others didn't believe you in an emergency.

Yuna: (Wow, as expected of Shia. She's quick to make decisions.)

Shia: Cattleya, wake up!

Cattleya: Huh?!

Shia: Timol, stop the carriage! There are monsters nearby!

This causes both Timol and Marix to panic as they look around for monsters.

Timol: There are no monsters around...

Shia: Miss Yuna's bears and her two friends' sense of smell are telling us that monsters are nearby.

Marix: Wait, you guys can do that?

Alphax: *Sniffs* There are five of them, and we can tell that they're coming closer. *Looks over to everyone except Shia and Cattleya* Isn't that right, you guys?

Kumayuru and Kumakyu: *Nods with a smile* Kuun~!

Bloop: *Nodding with a girn*

Timol: I guess they're right, Marix. Animals can be good at sniffing these kinds of things out.

Cattleya: They're able to do something like that?

Gura: We sure do, and they warned us about the danger.

Yuna: *Pats Kumayuru and Kumakyu* Plus, it's making it easier to escort you guys.

Marix: Doesn't that mean your...little friends are amazing, but you guys are not?

(Y/N): *Blunt* Is that your way of saying that we're useless? Do not underestimate your escorts.

Marix: *Reluctant* Fine. Prepare for battle just in case.

Marix, Cattleya, Shia, and Timol got out of the carriage until the goblins actually showed up which startled them as they quickly dispersed the goblins despite their inexperienced movements that were a little haphazard.

Marix, Cattleya, Shia, and Timol gave each other a pat on the back before regaining their composure.

Timol: But I didn't think there'd be really goblins.

Shia: *Smug* Looks like this proves that the predators of the wilderness and the sea can really sense monsters.

Marix: Wasn't that just a coincidence?

Shia: *Defensive* They even knew the number of goblins.

Cattleya: *Defensive, but Sassy* Since it's such a coincidence, how about you coincidentally find some next?

Marix: *Waves his hand* Fine! I believe it. I believe it!

Marix then walks up to you, Yuna, and Gura. The four of you exchanged awkward looks after looking at each other.

Marix hesitated for a moment before begrudgingly saying...

Marix: Thanks, I guess.

Yuna: Oh?

(Y/N): ...

Gura: Hm?

Marix: Just so you know, I'm only thanking your little animal friends! It's got nothing to do with you three!

(Y/N): *Nonchalant with a thumb up* Okay, sure. You're welcome, bud.

Yuna: *Sweatdrop* (Is he a tsundere?)

Gura: *Playful* (He's just in denial~!)

Alphax, on the other hand, was thinking about something when she looked at the goblins.

Alphax: (Strange. These goblins...they were quite desperate for some reason. I know they can still feel emotions, but I have a feeling that something's not right...)

Later, all of you eventually arrived at the village during sunset.

Marix: We're here. Let's all greet the people in the village.

Upon getting off the carriage, Yuna, Gura, and you can hear the words of the villagers after seeing your appearance. Some are baffled and some called you all cute.

Yuna hides behind you while bashfully lowering her bear hoodie. You let out a sigh and muttered out.."Yare yare daze...". Gawr Gura was giving everyone a friendly smile.

That is when an old man holding a cane in his right hand begins to speak out to you all.

Caos: Welcome to our village. I am the village chief, Cabos.

Marix: I'm from the academy. My name is Marix. We've brought your goods in our carriage.

Yuna: (Oh! He's conceited, but he's polite when he needs to be.)

Cabos: We'll take care of the goods and your carriage. Please stay at my house for the night! Your adventurer escorts is welcome to stay as well.

Gura: Thank you very much, village chief~!

Yuna: *Nods with a smile* We do appreciate it.

Cabos: Um, these animals are your...?

Marix: Yes more or less...

(Y/N): *Polite* He's not wrong. But please do not be fooled by our appearances, we're still their escorts nonetheless.

Cabos: I see.

-Time Skip at Night-

After staying in the village for the night to get some sleep. Cattleya found out that Shia was acquainted with Yuna, Gura, and (Y/N) because she overheard their conversation and was good at observing her surroundings, but wasn't really angry that they kept it hidden after their trip. Shia pleaded with Cattleya to not tell Marix and Timol because Shia wanted to complete the hands-on training which Cattleya did not know of and apologized to her, but Shia tells her that she wasn't careful as she suggested a plan so Marix and Timol wouldn't find out to which the girls agreed to.

Later, Yuna was busy talking to Fina through the Bear Phone outside as the two had a lovely conversation with each other and talked about the job escort which turned out to be okay.

...

However, unaware of the villagers. Deep in the woods, a goblin is seen running away in fear of something or someone. The goblin then trips due to something that is pressing him down. A large red eye with a gnawing snout with sharp teeth that came from a beast.

The beast then kills the goblin alive as it lets out an echoing bloodcurdling scream which can be heard from your left ear.

You sat up and looked around to see Timol and Marix sleeping on their respective beds.

(Y/N): *Mutters* What the hell was that?

Alphax can be heard groaning in her sleep beside you until she opens her sleepy eyes and asks...

Alphax: What's wrong, Master? Did you have a bad dream or something?

You paused for a moment before saying...

(Y/N): No. I thought I heard a scream out in the night, and it gave me the chills.

Alphax: Is that so? It's probably nothing. You should get back to sleep, *Teasing* you'll need a hug from me if you want to be peaceful~!

You let out a small chuckle before laying back down on the bed.

(Y/N): Alright, come here, then.
