I turn. I see his future self sitting by me. He looks so much darker and in so much more pain. He sips alcohol. I do not flinch. I just stare at him. I stop playing and look at him deeply. 

"Stop giving me that damn look. I couldn't stop seeing it for fifty years." He says.

"Are you really in that much pain?" I ask.

"Heh. You couldn't even begin to understand my suffering. Fifty years was the breaking point." He says.

He chugs. He's not the Wei Ying I know. He's in too much pain and anger. I've only seen him like this once. When the Tiger Amulet controlled him. Oh no. I stand up abruptly. 

"What did you do with the Tiger Amulet?" I ask angrily and worryingly. 

"Don't worry. It's safe." He says.

I look at him.

"You know I thought you actually cared about me. Past me is too naive as I was all those years ago." He sighs.

He stands up and looks at me.

"You know you can't save him. I am him. This is the only outcome." He says.

I look down only for a moment. Then I look up and he's gone. I let out a breath. Wei Ying I'm going to help you fight this.
