Balls of fire, black as shadow, start raining down on Cloud Recess. I look up. I see him. I see him in the sky playing the flute. He smiles at me. People were running and screaming. Cultivators flew up. They were wacked by Kai Long. 

"Stop!" I yell at him.

"Embrace your destiny!" He yells back.

Lan Zhan gets out his sword. I grab the flute. Wei Ning jumps here. 

"Master Wei!" He yells.

"Where'd you come from?" I ask.

"Just passing by when I heard the music playing." Wei Ning says.

He looks at the other me and jumps.

"Is that... you?" He turns to me.

"Long story." I sigh.

I jump up to where he was. I look at him. He looks at me.

"Looking at you. I pity you." I say.

"You are so cute." He says. 

Lan Zhan shoots forward. Future me slams the flute into his sword. He jumps back. Wei Ning and I leap forward. Jiang Cheng and Yanli rushes out. Kai Long jumps down.

"Sorry, but this fight isn't ours." He pulls out his sword.

Jiang Cheng pulls out his whip. Kai Long smiles and charges. I look back. Future me pushes me aside. I bump into Lan Zhan. He holds me sternly. Future me flies down.

"Listen, they hurt you. They hurt us." He says.

He walks over. 

"We are not human. We are monsters." He says.

I grip my head.

"Shut up!" I yell.

"You can try to deny it all you want." He says.

Lan Zhan gets in front of me. Future me pulls out a shadow. Lan Zhan gets thrown back. I look at his arm and I see blood coming out of it. 

"Lan Zhan!" I yell. 

A circle of shadows surrounds me and future me. 

"Here's my question to you. Are you a man or a monster?" He asks.
