"So... You have a favorite gem?" His question caught you off guard and you blink at him as he rubs his neck.

"Gem? You echo.

"Yeah like diamonds, sapphires, emeralds..." He trails off as you blink in recognition, starting to smirk.

"What's this? Already looking for an engagement ring?" You tease playfully making him pause and start to blush wildly.

"What!? No! I was just thinking about earrings!" He gasps. You giggle at him in amusement.

"You're redder than usual teddy bear." You chuckle.

"How can you think about that and not get red!?" He retorts.

"I just said it to mess with you." You smile. He gives you a slight glower before leaning forward carefully.

"Would you marry me?" He murmurs lightly. You freeze, watching his face. He was serious and the question sounded like a careful one. You could feel a blush cover your skin at the thought. He pauses, blinking in surprise as he watches you. "That's... So cute..." He breathes. "You're like a little red kitten."

"I am not!" You scoff in embarrassment. He starts to chuckle at you in amusement. You huff and relax watching him laugh and smile. "... Rubies." You hum. He calms blinking at that. "I love the color red, so rubies make me smile. Just like you do."

His eyes widen at that and he looks away with a light blush and slight smile. "... Hikari really suits you." He breathes. You hum in question, raising an eyebrow at him. He looks at you thoughtfully. "Because you always light up my day."

Tears rise to your eyes as you stare at the ring. Kid tips your chin, meeting your gaze softly. "I'm sorry for hurting you. You're still the only light I see.." He whispers.

"Alright, that's enough. Get back in line." Teach's voice growls. Kid pulls away and you frown after him. There's a sound of chains and he stops in surprise.

"No...." You murmur, feeling something stir inside you.

"What are you going to do? There's nothing your broken light can do." Teach sneers.

"My light isn't broken... They're still here." You respond, clutching the ring tightly. You look toward Law and the others. "And I'm not going to let you take any of them." Theres another rattle of chains before small cracks of light start to appear between you and the spirits you made links with.

"Katakuri! Do something!" Teach orders.

"Nope." He hums. You could feel the light coming back to you as the cracks glow brighter. With a sound like shattering glass, the cracks burst open, revealing chains of light that luminate the area. You blink and meet Kid's gaze as he turns to you in surprise.

"We're going home." You inform him before clasping your hands together reciting a loud prayer. You close your eyes, sensing Teach's darkness grow, moving to crush you.

"Dont touch her." Law's snarl and the warmth of his fox fire assures you that the others had freed themselves, moving to protect you.

"You might want to fall back Blackbeard. Much longer and you'll disappear." Katakuri says. There's a monstrous snarl before you feel the atmosphere lighten. You finish the prayer and open your eyes. The lanterns that had been lit with the purple flames were now gold. You drop your hands looking at all of them, opening your mouth to apologize but Chopper and Luffy collide into you with teary eyes.

"You're okay!" Luffy sniffles.

"Are you hurt?!" Chopper gasps.

"I'm okay now. Im sorry everyone." You smile a bit, hugging Luffy and Chopper.

"Im just glad you're safe." Law sighs, bringing your forehead to his. You meet his gaze feeling relief come over you.

"___!" Shanks' voice makes you look over as he and Mihawk run up. He meets your gaze and grins, hugging you tightly. "You scared me..."

"I scared me." You admit.

"We had a plan. But you seem to have gotten control again." Mihawk hums looking around. "... Are you alright Kid?" His question makes you lookover at Kid. His scars were faded, and he was looking over his hands carefully.

"Kid..." You go over to him carefully. "Are you okay?" You ask softly. He blinks and meets your gaze carefully.

"My memories really are back now.... Im back..." He smiles lightly. Your eyes widen at that, tears coming to them.

"Kid!" You gasp tackle hugging him. He staggers, arms wrapping around you and twirling you about.

"Hey." He breathes with a chuckle. You pull back meeting his warm gaze. You grin, cupping his cheek and kissing him deeply.

"I've missed you my red teddy bear." You whisper.

"And I've missed you. My beautiful hikari." He grins setting you down.

"Kid!" Shanks bawls, tackling him to the ground. "My sweet baby boy!"

"D-Dad! Get off!"

You giggle lightly and straighten with a content sigh. A hand on your shoulder makes you look over at Law. "I see your beloved has returned. Along with your light." He hums putting an arm around your shoulders.

"He's not the only source of my light. But he is a main one..." You lean on him. "I'm glad everyone's safe." Luffy skids in front of you both. You blink as he gets up glaring, you follow his glare to Katakuri.

"Tell him to stop attacking me." Katakuri looks to you, pointing at Luffy.

"Calm down Luffy. I think he changed sides in the middle of all that." You assure the monkey boy.

"I did." Katakuri confirms with a nod.

"That's oddly convenient." Law deadpans.

"It works. I don't know how to get back to my body." You look down.

"... You're not dead we just went through a crack between worlds." Katakuri assures.

"That doesn't sound like a good thing." Kid comments, joining you again.

"It's not. It's the main way for dark spirits to enter the living world. And how we were going to invade after the lights were gone." He shrugs. "So... Well done hikari." He meets your gaze.

"Hold on... Did you know she was going to light up if Kid went to her?" Sabo inquires.

"I foresaw it yes." Katakuri nods.

"So you changed sides because of that?" Kid frowns.

"No. I could've prevented it." Katakuri glances at Law. "And if you must know. I liked the light." He adds looking down.

"... Yeah that makes sense." Law and Kid relax.

"It was pretty." Luffy beams.

"Aww... I missed it..." Shanks pouts.

"Um... Speaking of light... Can we go home now?" You speak up.

"Yes. I'll lead you back through the crack." Katakuri says.

"Kay..." You hum following him. Kid walks with you, watching the spirit's back quietly.

"So... You really okay after all that?" He murmurs to you.

"Yeah... Im great now." You hum, peering at his link. He looks at it too, blushing lightly.

"Do... You like it?" He asks quietly.

"Actually. I love it. And I called it." You smirk at him.

"I was going to get you earrings! But then you said that and...." He looks down shyly. You grin, moving the ring to your left ring finger.

"It fits." You hum. He blinks a few times looking at it, turning red.

"Um... You sure you want to put it on that finger?" He manages carefully.

"Mhm." You smile at him. His eyes widen at you.

"R-Really?" He whispers. You grin and kiss him.

"Yeah." You hum. He blinks and smiles, taking your hand.

"I'm glad it was me and not you... Otherwise I would've never gotten to see you again." He says. You pause at that and smile.

"That's one way to look at it." You murmur nodding with a small thoughtful smile.

"We're passing through it now." Katakuri alerts you before he vanishes. You swallow, following him through with Kid. You blink as everything blurs briefly before becoming moonlit scenery. You relax as a breeze dances over your face. A smile comes to your lips and you look up at the moon.

"Thank you Katakuri. You really helped us." You tell him softly. He was silent for a moment, back turned to you as he looks up at the sky as well.

"You were right... I don't want this light to go out." He says lightly.

"It won't, I'll make sure it won't." You hum, gripping Kid's hand tighter.

"Good. Farewell Hikari." He says starting away and disappearing.

"Couldn't get a read on that guy..." Kid mutters.

"I think he's a good guy." You frown slightly. "Come on. In sure he'll find his own light again." You add, starting down the road. He stops suddenly, looking over the town. "Kid?"

"I was going to purpose here. When the time was right." He says quietly. Your heart skips a beat before sinking. He looks at you, with a really confused look. "Can we still do that? Is there a law against that?" You blink a few times before giggling, face turning red. "You're so cute... But I'm being serious."

"I know... You're just cute." You calm down smiling. "And I think we still can."

"Alright..." He smiles relaxing before blushing. "Ah... Sorry. I-I'm being a bit..." He looks down shyly.

"I get it Kid." You assure softly kissing his cheek. "There's no need to rush. I'm just, so happy to have you back." You smile. He returns the smile cupping your cheek softly. He gazes at your face as if to remember every detail. You shift, starting to blush under his gaze.

"You're so beautiful." He whispers, kissing your forehead. "Come on. Lets go home."

"Yeah..." You smile, letting him guide you back toward the temple. "Kid."

"Yeah?" He asks lightly.

"I love you." You smile more as he trips slightly in surprise.

"I-I-I love you too."
