The lifeless body of Jisung was being carried away as Chan was watching.

'You need to be strong Chan' He thought.

"He had left a letter for you Chan" Hyeji said, handing a folded paper to Chan.

"For me?" Chan asked to which Hyeji nodded. He hesitantly took the paper as he started unfolding it to see the content inside. Hurriedly written letters. He noticed as he started reading it. His eyes started to get filled with tears as he gripped the letter with trembling hands.

Just when he finished reading, he aggressively handed the letter to Changbin who then took it, curiously. Changbin too started reading it, only to be ended up shocked.

"Chan, I know you wouldn't believe it. I'm sorry. I accidentally killed that girl. She was my ex and we had a huge fight. We were drunk. That's why I ended up killing her. I really didn't mean to do that. I couldn't control my anger. I cut her neck hoping all the blame would go to the killer but I guess I failed. That's why I escaped Chan. I knew I'll be accused of being the killer we were chasing if I get caught and no. I'm not him. I only killed her accidentally. Believe me. I'm sorry it ended up like this. Don't delay the case. Keep going until you find him. I'm sorry. I messed up.

Jisung."

"I TOLD YOU!" Chan yelled. "THE ACTUAL KILLER IS STILL OUT THERE!"

"I know, I know Chan. Calm down! There's no point of yelling!" Changbin said as he turned towards Chan.

"You accused him" Chan's voice broke.

"Yes, and he did kill that girl. So I'm not completely wro-"

Changbin stopped midway as Chan started coughing out of nowhere. Even though he expected it to stop, it only got worse. Chan held onto the wall beside him as he tried to find his inhaler in his pockets.

"Chan?" Hyeji asked, coming closer. And then Chan remembered, he forgot the inhaler at his office.

"Where's your inhaler?!" Changbin panicked as Chan's coughs got more worse. "DOES ANYONE HAVE AN INHALER?" He screamed hoping to get some help from anyone who were present at the scene after noticing Chan didn't have his inhaler with him.

Chan gasped for air as he fell onto Changbin's arms, unconscious. "Call the ambulance!" Changbin yelled, making Hyeji to go outside and call out the ambulance workers who were in front of the motel. The workers acted in a rush, bringing Chan to a nearby hospital with the help of Changbin.

It was already past eleven at night when they arrived at the hospital. Changbin and Hyeji were waiting in the waiting room, nervously. They didn't know what happened. All they knew was that Chan had been struggling with a cough from a while now. As they were waiting, a nurse made her way towards them after an hour. "You can see the patient now" She stated, before guiding them towards the room where Chan was.

A doctor was checking Chan's vitals as Chan was laying on the bed, still unconscious. The doctor quickly turned towards the other two as soon as they got in. "You might be?"

"We're his friends doctor. How is he?" Changbin replied, asking a question as the same time.

"He's stable now. Um... Can I talk to you for a second?"

"Of course doc" Changbin said, following the doctor - who started making his way to his office - behind.
