~ Planet Iredescent ~
________________
Out of the dark shadows and into the prevailing light, the stars deterred from hiding behind the misty purple clouds.
The Black Rose stood on the balcony of Mirror Castle, regarding the faraway capital city Auraglen. Asymmetric gemstone towers arrayed with vertical rivers of holographic glitter, falling and rising with every sparkle.
The sky was a luxurious black velvet tapestry with deep shades of regal purple and midnight blue. Moonlight poured downwards from Iredescent's two moons, Ezezë and Bianccha, making the land below sparkle like an infinite exhibit.
Tonight was the coronation night for the new Ruler of Iredescent. The irangels were invited as special guests for the celebratory event.
The dual moonlight continued to stream across the pearly lilac purple balcony railing and admire the Black Rose's dress, running its metallic silvery hands down the silky material and touching every sparkle.
Her dress was huge, lengthier than a wedding dress. The long sleeves had a train of their own, joining the long train in the back, pulling away to reveal the rest of the dress. Diamond sparkles adorned the royal purple dress, a stunning rival to the fashion show in the starlit night.
A purple rose-shaped hairpiece glimmered amid her thigh-length dark red hair, catching sparkles and reflecting glitter. Her dark purple eyes entrapped the city in its gaze as the Black Rose, Valerie , thought about how she came to planet Iredescent.
It all started when Demian Daggers discovered a glass building that held dark secrets within its invisible walls. After he turned into an irangel against his will, Demian massacred the original irangels, with the exception of Cole Matthews, who became like a brother to him. Together, they turned eighteen humans into Iredescents and called themselves irangels, the term the original creator, Tori Nichok, used to refer to humans who turned into Iredescents.
Most of the irangels had a special ability. Demian had the ability to read minds. As part of his mind reading ability, Demian could also speak telepathically and mentally connect with people, accessing their thoughts and memories via touch. Valerie was a powerful telekinetic with the ability to move people and objects with her mind. Some irangels, like Demian's other irangel brother, Stripes Carven, didn't have a special ability.
One of the irangels, Cydtin Mikasian, rose to power and went rogue, causing a fight on the Aerospace Station Nieznane in Początki, Poland, that killed six irangels and ten humans. After some of the irangels were forcefully sent to outer space and ended up on Iredescent, they returned to Earth to gather the rest of the irangels so they could permanently move to Iredescent, their true home.
Valerie breathed in the cool night air, feeling rejuvenated and alive. Her entire life she felt like she never belonged. She felt very different from people, and she thought there was nobody else in the world even remotely similar; that's how isolated and alone she felt, even with people who loved and cared for her.
On Iredescent, Valerie felt she was where she truly belonged. The sparkly planet held her sense of wonder, creativity, imagination, and other aspects of herself she didn't even see until she came to Iredescent. It was a place where she could excel and bring out the best parts of herself. It felt imaginary, but it was more real than her life had ever been.
There were complications, of course. No perfect fairytale life was without something threatening to upset the peaceful balance. That complication, however, came from a person she loved and respected.
Demian Daggers.
He wasn't her first love, but they had quickly fallen in love with each other. Their connection brought them together, but ironically, it was the very thing that broke them up. Having no knowledge of what it was, Valerie began to fear when the connection started going out of control, affecting them both at the same time. Valerie broke up with Demian, having found a peace of mind in Civic Acuratno, a Native American irangel who came from Russia. Demian ended up dating Ariel Iara, a Greek irangel.
Though they had broken up, Valerie knew she would always feel something for Demian because of their connection that implied they were meant to be together. Demian was a burning flame, strong and intense. Civic was a warm glow, safe and comfortable. Valerie sensed Demian felt the same burning flame for her, an endless fire from within that threatened to consume them both.
Ariel was deeply in love with Demian, almost to the point of obsession. While Demian and Ariel shared an attraction to each other, Demian's interests were divided between Ariel and Valerie. Valerie tried to distance herself from Demian, though it was difficult to do so since he was obligated to be around her in public, not only because he was her connected, but also because he was an irangel leader.
Soon after the irangels moved to planet Iredescent, four irangel leaders were established: Demian Daggers, Cole Matthews, Civic Acuratno, and Valerie Céliy.
Demian and Cole were the ones who turned humans into irangels. Civic provided valuable insight and he was the most down-to-earth of the irangel leaders. Valerie was included because she was the Black Rose and Demian's connected. As the Black Rose, Valerie was the most powerful irangel of them all.
Demian was the only missing irangel. All the irangels had successfully moved to Iredescent, but Demian remained lost in space. Valerie tried to reach out to him through their connection, but it was like reaching out to a faint signal, suggesting that he was still alive, but his location was unknown.
Despite the despondency regarding the missing irangel creator, the announcement of the Black Rose excited the entire planet, promoting nonstop celebrations. It seemed like Iredescent had suddenly become a party planet the moment the irangels arrived, rivaling Dusaro, a true party planet.
Valerie sighed as she continued gazing at the city, wishing the coronation was over already. Valerie was never one for big formal events with crowds of people, but because she was the Black Rose, a rare Iredescent that occurred every ninety years, people flocked to see her. She had become a famous celebrity overnight, simply because of who she was and what it meant to the Iredescent people.
Though the coronation wasn't for her, people would expect to see the Black Rose in all her finery. Hence this beautiful dress, Valerie thought, glancing at the voluminous material.
She heard a familiar male voice say, "Valerie."
Valerie turned around to see Civic. His long, straight black hair was neatly brushed, flowing smoothly down his back and touching his waist. He was dressed in a black and dark gold suit. His natural light brown skin shimmered gold, his deep brown eyes as decadent as chocolate.
His shoes were black, a metallic gold matte layer hidden within the black to match his suit. He wore a golden bracelet with black and purple interlaced in it. His enormous, gilded wings were like molten gold, mesmerizing and gorgeous as they caught the moonlight and turned it from silver to gold.
Civic approached Valerie, his footsteps as silent as fallen snow. "So beautiful," he said, his eyes running up and down her. "You look stunning."
"You're stunning yourself," Valerie responded, adoring Civic in his stylish suit. Like diamond and gold, Valerie thought, thinking of herself as a diamond, beautiful and reserved, and Civic as the man with a heart of gold and wings to illustrate his golden heart.
Civic took her hand, his touch warm like a cup of hot cocoa. "We must go. They're waiting for you."
Valerie allowed Civic to lead her towards the grand hall of the building they were in, the exceptionally stunning Mirror Castle.
Like its name implied, Mirror Castle looked exactly like mirrors. The outside was entirely mirror, reminding Valerie of Demian's black mirrored wings that appeared like shards of shattered glass, indicating his dark past.
The interior had mirrored ceilings, stairwells, hallways, and corridors throughout the luxurious fairytale castle building. The splendor of Mirror Castle was a far cry from the magnificence of Earth places such as France's Palace of Versailles and Bavaria's Neuschwanstein Castle.
A spotlight glared directly at Civic and Valerie, causing them to turn around and shield their eyes from the sudden onslaught of bright light. Confused, the couple halted at the doorway, wondering the source of the disruption.
The connection sang with resounding familiarity as Valerie peered into the light, her eyes widening in astonishment.
A winged man's figure silhouetted in the light, his dark wings outstretched and reflecting moonlight. The spotlight lowered, and Civic and Valerie saw that it was a military ship's head light that shone on them. The military ship was red and olive green, with holographic alien hieroglyphics along the sides.
Civic gripped Valerie's hand tightly as black rose petals swirled around Valerie, indicating her power was being drawn from her through the connection, lending power to her connected.
There was only one person who could do such a thing, to whom such great power could be granted.
"Demian!" Valerie exclaimed, recognizing the winged man standing at the prow of the military ship.
Even the moonlight and dark skies couldn't hide the smile from Demian's face as he locked eyes with Valerie. With the Black Rose's power, the olive green military uniform he was wearing turned into a royal purple suit with black roses, to fully present himself as the Black Rose's connected.
The black rose petals turned into roses that twirled in the air, forming a staircase made entirely of black roses. Even Civic was astounded when Demian started walking on the black rose staircase, directly towards Valerie. The black rose staircase disintegrated into black shimmers the moment he stepped onto the balcony floor.
He's alive. Demian is alive.
Relief spread across Civic's face at the sight of his irangel creator. Then dismay swept the relief, scattering webs of jealousy, as Demian took Valerie's hand from Civic, indicating he was to escort her to the coronation event.
Civic seized Valerie's other hand, glaring at Demian. But Demian simply said, "Hello, Civlasenco Acuratno and my Black Rose. I believe I am late for an important coronation event. We must get going."
Demian strode out the door, Valerie following him. Civic fumed, irate that Demian used his full name just to irritate him, but he kept close to Valerie, her hand firm in his grasp, while Demian held her other hand.
The trio walked on the shimmery pearly lavender gold floor, its surface as smooth as glass. Officers outfitted in lavender purple and gold uniforms opened the purple doors for them, smiling happily when Demian greeted them. People in the grand hall turned and stared, watching the two irangel men escort the Black Rose.
The irangels stood in the left and right sides of the room, leaving the center open for the Ruler of Iredescent. Everything was televised so that every Iredescent could watch the coronation on holo screens. The coronation would occur inside the grand hall of Mirror Castle.
Valerie kept a calm front, though inside she wasn't used to the attention, even after a month of being the center of attention. Civic handled it with ease; his former model career molded him into a self-assured person. He was certainly not camera shy, but he rather welcomed the cameras and attention, knowing he was top headline anyway. And Demian, aware of every person's thought, knew how to act accordingly, though he was always a naturally confident person.
Startlement rang through every irangel's mind at the physical proof of Demian's return, along with surprised exclaimations and the impulse to run out and hug Demian. But Demian telepathically urged everyone to remain calm, and that he would speak with them after the coronation event.
But nobody remained calm; everyone cheered, both the irangels and the Iredescents.
Demian sent a shower of black rose petals to rain down like confetti, his gaze returning to Valerie, until Civic urged to move forward, snapping via thought, Stop gawking and let's go. I want to see the new Ruler of Iredescent.
As they continued to walk forward towards the right side, Valerie saw Cydtin smiling at her. Valerie smiled back, glad to see he was feeling exceptionally happy today. Cydtin had been through a lot of trauma and loss. He became a close friend and brother to Valerie during the psychiological trauma they experienced while adrift in outer space.
Your suit looks incredible! I like the Iredescent style, Valerie told Cydtin, her footsteps slowing slightly as she regarded his metallic steel blue suit. His short black hair and gorgeous blue eyes reminded Valerie that Cydtin once modeled for men's business magazines such as Fortune and GQ. Valerie hoped that he would find happiness, knowing Cydtin was still devastated over the deaths of his pregnant fiancée and a sweet person who had become a good friend to him in the short time he had known her.
Valerie heard Demian telepathically speak in answer to her inner thoughts. The pain will always be there, but I am certain he will find happiness again.
Valerie's eyes immediately met Demian's eyes, her heart leaping wildly when she realized he had been staring at her for some time.
Demian smirked when Valerie stared back, her turn to stare at him for some time. He allowed her the magnificent view of his formal suit that matched Valerie's dress.
Demian's black dress shoes were made of the finest leather. A stylish black bracelet adorned his wrist, the metallic silver resembling his mirrored wings, with royal purple and aqua green interwoven with the black.
His thick, raven black hair was casual and formal at the same time; he was never seen without an amazing hairstyle, even after waking up. His intense dark brown eyes never left Valerie, following her every move.
Cole was the first to hug Demian. His playful blond hair, usually tousled and set in a messy hairstyle, was given a haircut, making him look businessy, to go along with his navy blue and green suit. His light brown wings edged in vivid blue glittered drastically in the lights. He looked preppy, very much like a Hollister model back in the 90's and early 2000s.
Stripes was next to hug Demian. His tailored denim blue and hot pink suit complemented well despite the sharp contrast in colors. The suit surprisingly looked good with his caramel brown hair and hazel eyes. His light sage green and grey glittered wings draped behind him, reminiscent of fairy wings.
Demian allowed the irangels to excitedly hug him. After the joyful reunion with his fellow irangels, Demian locked eyes with Ariel, the irangel who hadn't hugged him yet.
Hurtful jealousy brimmed in Ariel's eyes as she saw the joined hands, the matching outfits, the black rose petals, and the adoring look on Valerie's face. Everything was clear, yet so painful.
Ariel stepped away from Demian, refusing to hug him. Her mind was a storm that Demian did not wish to entangle in, especially since he made his choice to pursue a relationship with the Black Rose, so Demian led Valerie to stand near Cole and Stripes.
Letting go of Valerie's hand, Civic lingered to hug Ariel, feeling similar to what she was going through. Perhaps I should pursue Ariel, rather than Valerie, Civic thought, remembering how Ariel once flirted with him, though at the time he was disinterested, fixated on Valerie. It seemed they were in the same boat now, hurt and jealous of the people they loved.
So Civic surprised Ariel when he held her hand, no longer adamant to hold Valerie's hand. Ariel allowed the comfort, appreciating Civic being there for her. She always liked Civic but had come to think of him as a brother, since she became interested in Demian. The present seemed a suitable time to place their interests in the correct alignment.
So Ariel leaned her head against Civic's shoulder, willing to let go of Demian and move on to a man who would make her his primary focus, not his secondary.
Everyone started applauding when Peridot Shodi, the former Ruler of Iredescent, came to stand in the center of the grand hall. An Iredescent man accompanied him, dressed in a beautiful galaxy blue outfit with silver shimmers dancing in swirls around his fancy attire. He had a golden sheen in his light purple eyes, indicating he was a finned one. His spikey black hair shone under the spotlights, his handsome face smiling as he looked at the crowd. If he was nervous, nobody knew, for he hid it well.
When the clapping died down, Peridot looked over at the crowd. The skylight from above poured moonlight in addition to the lighting already in the room. It covered Peridot Shodi and the Iredescent man from head to toe, making them look mythical.
Peridot wore a dazzling sky blue robe outfit to match his azul blue eyes and to contrast his yellowish-green skin shimmer. His short, greying light brown hair with red highlights clashed with the moonlight as if fighting for the spotlight.
"I, Peridot Shodi, former Ruler of Iredescent, have chosen to step down from my position upon the arrival of the Black Rose. She gave me the perfect opportunity to retire."
People chuckled, appreciating Peridot's humor in addition to his wisdom. The Iredescent man smiled warmly at the irangels. Valerie stood shyly, not wanting attention, but Cydtin gave her a cheerful grin while Demian remained stoic, his eyes trained on her like a sniper rifle.
Far away, in the city of Rhosyn, a lean figure stood near the back of a crowded bar. People surrounded a holo-screen showing the coronation in live time. The figure was wearing a hooded jacket that concealed his face and eyes, hiding it in shadow.
He was dressed in a form-fitting military outfit that indicated he was an illusionist soldier from planet Mijishin. The military outfit was in the standard silver and muted purple, rather than the usual sand beige and army green. He had an enere strapped to his thigh and other weapons displayed or hidden on him, though the man himself was the most powerful weapon of those he carried.
A military woman accompanied the military man. She was dressed in the same military outfit with the same colors. Her metallic pink and blue hair touched her shoulders, her makeup edgy with black eyeliner and blue sparkles.
She had the same weapons he did: enere, knives, explosives, and herself. She was slim and lithe, and excelled greatly in acrobatics and gymnastics. She was in her late forties, but her body showed little signs of aging, due to constantly working out and keeping her body in shape.
The military pair was looking at the screen, their eyes able to see as clearly as Iredescent eyes, though neither of them were Iredescent. So intensely was the man focused on the screen that he failed to remember he held a narrow alcoholic drink in his hand.
The military woman's eyes were easy and relaxed while the military man's eyes were intense and concentrated. The light danced over them, continuing to excite the crowd as they continued to watch the coronation, listening attentively as Peridot spoke.
"Every ninety years, a Black Rose appears on planet Iredescent. Eighty-nine years passed with no sight of a Black Rose, then one from planet Earth arrived on the last day of the ninetieth year. Because of this marvelous sight, I have decided to retire and allow a younger man to take my place as the Ruler of Iredescent.
"The Phoenix's son, Iro Fenice, encouraged me in the selection of my successor. The Phoenix and the Protector of Iredescent, Raistin Fenice, extends approval of his son's excellent choice. My dear planet, please congratulate Nend Nyssi, the new Ruler of Iredescent!"
People everywhere went wild, acting as if it was a New Year celebration. The entire city and those who viewed the coronation on televised screens, comects, and holo devices were ecstatic. The irangels joined the cheering celebration, wishing the new Ruler much happiness and joy.
Nend Nyssi was a military commander trained by Iro Fenice. He had a wife named Aryle Nyssi. Aryle was from southern Iredescent where people had entirely golden bodies, making them look like they came out of a mound of gold. Her hair, eyes, skin, everything was gold color.
The irangels had never met Nend prior to the coronation, but they found Nend was a kind, sweet man with a protective love for his family and planet Iredescent. Nend smiled as Peridot raised his hand in the air, the crowd cheering even more.
Moments after the excited announcement, Peridot introduced the irangels, having them step out out line as he called each one by name, starting with Demian Daggers. He included the nicknames given to each irangel, the nicknames that helped identify each irangel.
"Demian Daggers, the Creator of Irangels and the Black Rose's connected!"
Demian walked forward, catching the attention of many with his seductive gaze and confident stride.
"Valerie Céliy, the Black Rose!"
Valerie walked forward, her heels making a pronounced clink sound on the smooth floor. Her chest fluttered with nervousness at the sound of the crowd, but Cydtin's silent encouragement propelled her to move forward in elegant steps.
"Cole Matthews, the German Teleporter!"
Cole went to stand at Demian's side, his movements faster than most. Cole was an electrokinetic, having the ability to ignite electricity at will. This went in conjunction with his teleportation ability.
"Civic Acuratno, the Telekinetic of Dual Worlds!"
Civic was used to the attention and therefore unfazed by the crowd as he walked like a model. Women fastened their eyes on Civic, admiring his physical appearance. Like Valerie, Civic was a telekinetic. The dual worlds part came from his Native American and Russian ethnicity.
"Stripes Carven, the Dewdrop!"
Stripes waved in hello as he slowly but surely shuffled forward. Because Stripes looked very much like a male fairy in a popular Iredescent fantasy movie, the Iredescents called him Dewdrop. It suited him since he had a fairy-like appearance, and his wings looked very much like fairy wings.
The military man froze in place, his eyes peering out from underneath the hood. He didn't move, absolutely stunned to hear a certain last name, a last name that matched his own. Even if panic erupted in the Rhosyn bar, the military man would remain frozen in place, his mind continuing to echo with the name of the person whose name Peridot just spoke.
The military woman glanced carefully at the military man, whose heart was beating rapidly, his eyes fixed on the screen. He was barely aware of anything else around him, his entire being rejoicing at the sight of the person he had been searching for for so long.
Tears welled in his eyes, the joy almost overwhelming. The military woman held the military man in an embrace, knowing this was an emotional moment for him. It would only be a matter of time before he could see him in person, to recall what had happened in those years since he last saw him.
Before he never even said goodbye, leaving without a trace.
Peridot continued the irangel introductions, some irangels dancing and twirling as they walked forward, others as nervous and shy as Valerie, others as calm and confident as Demian.
The irangels were
Annika was a mermaid who loved the sparkling Iredescent ocean. Annika was the irangel that always wore something hot pink. Her mermaid fins were hot pink with dark indigo blue.
Kirrie had the umbrakinetic ability to morph into shadows. She could also create darkness and use it as a weapon. Kirrie's clothing was rocker chic style with edgy biker influence. Her short black hair was growing out of a pixie cut. Her diamond earrings matched the white jewels on her cream white dress with dark green.
Ariel had the ability to make people stop smoking; all it took was her presence to make somebody permanently quit smoking. Ariel was one of the irangels with the longest hair, her orange red hair reaching past her thighs, though Elivra's black hair was the longest, reaching all the way to the floor.
Orion had the ability to control volume and manipulate sound. He was Ariel's twin brother, though they were complete opposites. Orion had brownish blond hair and light green eyes; Ariel had orange red hair and light green eyes. Orion was introverted; Ariel was extroverted. Since arriving on Iredescent, Orion's hair took on a reddish tint, becoming less brownish blond and more like his sister's red hair color.
Like Cole, Luciu had the ability to teleport. Both teleporters were able to create jump portals for people to jump through and teleport to another place. Luciu was the most introverted irangel. He loved heights, always flying high in the sky and going to the highest floor of buildings. He was talented in photography and drawing scenic landscapes, beautiful skies, and nature.
Amanda was a shapeshifter who could mimic both the physical appearance and the voice of a person she shapeshifted into. Amanda usually wore lilac purple and brown, whether it was a dress or a hoodie and jeans. Amanda absolutely loved coffee and lattes, always drinking them no matter the season.
Cydtin originally wanted to be nicknamed Mind Reader since that's what his ability was, but the fashion designers Tiae and Cloridy encouraged Cydtin's nickname the Galaxy Prince. They called him by his nickname at every chance, both women vying for his gorgeous looks. Cydtin resigned himself to the truth of his permanent nickname, given to him by Iredescent's new prestiged fashion designers.
Inlivido had two abilities: the invisibility ability and the ability to melt through walls and iron. He often used those abilities on planet Earth, but now that he was on planet Iredescent, he didn't have the need to burn through walls just yet.
Desmond could make glitter appear out of nowhere. He used to hate the name Cydtin had given him back when he used to be controlled by him, but now he liked it. "Glitter is part of who I am," Desmond said, acknowledging aspects of his glitter ability. There were no longer any bad feelings since Desmond and Cydtin were friends, no longer enemies.
Viraj could create illusions of flowers, make flowers appear out of nowhere, transform himself into a giant flower, and control the flora and fauna around him. For the coronation, Viraj made iridescent flowers appear everywhere like LED lights arrayed in purple and gold. Viraj was the official person in charge of the floral arrangements. He was happy to create specialized ones for each celebration and party, which was often, thanks to the Phoenix.
Elivra had the ability to generate heat and control temperature. Such an ability eliminated the need for heaters and air conditioning. Though Iredescents and irangels were thermoendurant, unaffected by severe temperatures like Arctic cold and Sahara heat, they appreciated a warm comfortable room temperature.
Anders was called the Supermodel because he was the first male Victoria's Secret model called Victor. It was Anders who wanted to call himself Supermodel, in memory of a dead irangel named Neveah Pallermite.
Yuri was called the Rockstar due to becoming a musician. He was the lead singer and guitarist in his rock metal music band called Winged Destroyer. He became the first music artist from planet Earth to play music on planet Iredescent, becoming famous in the human world and the Iredescent world.
Soon after Peridot finished the irangel introductions, Kirrie rushed to kiss Cole at the same time Annika ran up to kiss Stripes. Demian, Valerie, and Civic just smiled and waved.
The military man smiled when he saw Kirrie and Annika run up to kiss Cole and Stripes. The military man held hands with the military woman as he continued to watch the irangel he had his eyes on, feeling happy for him. He couldn't wait to attend a future wedding he knew would eventually happen.
Port of entry employees, Tal Elphene and Zvizda Nyota, presented the new Iredescent Ruler with a large bouquet of holographic flowers that glistened prismatically. Nend thanked Tal and Zvizda, enjoying the wonderful lilac rose scent. Hugs were in great abundance as every irangel and Iredescent eagerly congratulated the new Ruler of Iredescent.
Cydtin gave Valerie a warm hug, his eyes beaming with joy. "Such an awesome day," he said, feeling extremely happy. Cydtin had been given the opportunity to become one of the irangel leaders, but he had turned it down, declining the opportunity.
Demian turned to Valerie after hugging Cydtin. His eyes loomed over her before his arms wrapped her in a close hug. Valerie caught his familiar scent of peppermint and leather before she politely pulled away from Demian, aware of Ariel standing nearby, glowering at her.
Demian was no doubt aware of her jealousy, but he chose to disregard, his attention fixed on Valerie. He sighed inwardly, knowing he would need to break up with her soon if he intended to stay with Valerie.
Valerie didn't want to cause any complications. But even Valerie couldn't escape the feeling that surrounded her and Demian, the passion that never died, and the almost constant reminder that they were meant for each other, the destined love forged out of a powerful, permanent connection.
Though Civic understood the connection between Valerie and Demian, he shared Ariel's jealousy. He felt no hatred towards Demian, but Ariel felt bitter hatred towards Valerie. It was difficult to get over someone deeply loved.
Maybe you should be with Ariel, Demian telepathically told Civic.
So you could be with Valerie? Civic's eyes darkened. You may be her destined and her connected, but I am the one she chose.
In her words, she chose you. In her heart, she chose me. As Civic's jealousy turned to anger, Demian added, Hate me now?
Before Civic could respond, Luciu came in between the men to enthusiastically hug Demian. "Hello again, creator," Luciu said as he handed Demian a small pin of a canal bridge. "It's from Earth. It reminds me of when you gave me hope and dreams that will never die."
Demian pinned it to his own suit, appreciating Luciu's gift. "Thank you, Luciu. I'll keep it with the note you gave me that I still have."
Amanda came next, her turn to give everyone a hug and a compliment or a word of recommendation. "Demian, great to see you. Valerie, that's the most royal dress I've ever seen. Civic, you're hot. Stripes, love the suit. Cole, great hair. I like it."
"Thanks, Amanda," said Cole, cheered by the compliment.
The irangels resumed formation just before Peridot proceeded to place a glittery purple crown on Nend. The crown was inlaid with various tiny gemstones that sparkled just like the planet. The crown was lightweight, made of holographic opal formed in an elegant stylish design.
The Iredescent people smiled and cheered joyfully for Nend Nyssi, the new Ruler of Iredescent.
