Melinda was sound asleep cuddling with Grant, the two were almost inseparable, especially on our days off. "Do you want anything from the store?" I asked, watching with a smile as he tried to move to look at me.

"Some champagne" He smiled.

"We only drink champagne on special occasions" I said.

"It's technically a special occasion" He said, "It's the anniversary of our first date"

"Oh my god" My eyes widened, "I completely forgot"

"It's fine, Cait" He chuckled, "We'll get Katie C to babysit and relax with some champagne"

"Sounds great" I smiled, "I'll be back in an hour"

I leaned down and kissed his cheek and than Melinda's forehead. "Love you!" He smiled.

Caity hadn't expected much for the anniversary of her first date with Grant, it wasn't technically their first anniversary of fully dating, that was in a few days.

Grant on the other hand, had big plans. He could still remember the day he told Stephen the plan a year ago.

"It was the most amazing night" Grant sighed, sitting back on the TV lounge couch. "We talked for hours"

"Yea? I could tell you were happy when you walked onto set today" Stephen poured himself a cup of coffee, "So are you and Caity dating now?"

"Not officially, she asked me on another date for tomorrow night, hopefully I'll ask her than" Grant smiled. "I'm telling you man, I think I'm finally off the market"

"You really like her, huh?" Stephen sat down, "Be sure to to invite me to the wedding"

"I'll do you one better, I'll make you a part of the proposal" Grant chuckled.

"Your really serious" The blonde leaned back on the couch, "Well, name the date and I'll help you"

"Yesterday, but in a couple years" Grant nodded, "Honour it a little"

"Sounds good to me"

"This is the most adorable idea I ever heard of" Melissa smiled, plucking the roses from the box and placing one on the door of the TV lounge. "How'd you come up with it?"

"She mentioned Rose as a name for Melinda during the pregnancy, we decided not to use it, but she really liked the name" Grant and Stephen moved the couch. "I decided to incorporate it into the proposal"

"Okay, the curtains won't hide us entirely, but enough to give you some privacy so it doesn't frighten her" Willa stepped back.

"Great, grab the rose petals and start making the heart" Katie C said, "What about Melinda?"

"I'm going to have her holding the box" Grant pulled out the black ring box, "Do you girls want to see it?"

"Yes!" Melissa dropped box of roses on the couch and waddled over to Grant, her 8 month belly was hard to maneuver around. The other ladies popped up behind her.

Grant opened the box to reveal two silver and one rose gold band that twirled together, 2 small diamonds and one large diamond.

"Its beautiful, Grant" Emily smiled, "She's going to love it"

"GUYS! SHES ALREADY HERE!" John ran in, panting and trying to stay standing.

"Quick, behind the curtain" Katie MG ushered everyone behind the sheer curtains and watched and Grant stood near the rose petals shaped into a heart. Melinda in his arms wearing a red and white dress with a black rose headband and holding the ring box.

Caity made her way into the lounge, grabbing the rose from the door and pushing it open. "Oh my god" She gasped.

"Hey" Grant smiled.

"Hi" Caity whispered, stepping in. "What is this?"

"Caitlin Marie Lotz" Grant started, "On this day, a year ago, you and I went to our first date. We spent 4 hours talking, we talked about life and all the adventures we have had. The day after our date, I told Stephen I knew you were the one I wanted to marry. Than you gifted me a precious daughter, and I am eternally thankful. So today, with help of our friends and daughter, I kneel to you to ask" Grant slowly got on one knee, balancing Melinda on his other knee. "Well you do me the honour, of becoming my wife?"

Caity was crying while smiling, her heart jumped as she started nodding. "Yes! Yes I'll marry you" She sniffled, "Oh my god. I wasn't prepared"

"Oh, love" Grant stood up, hugging her.

"Yay!" Everyone begins the curtain cheered. They all made their way out and started celebrating.

"How long have you planned this?" Caity asked, looking down at her ring.

"Since she was born" Grant smiled, kissing Melinda's forehead. "Are you happy?"

"Extremely"

And they stayed happy, happy for 68 years, before Grant joined the afterlife. Caity eventually did to, they lived happy their as well...

And than John and Manu joined them.....
