Hope's p.o.v
The first years filled into the great hall and stood in a line Hope squeezed her robe with nervously. Meghan nudged her as a a tall witch in green robes placed a dusty old hat on a stool and the hat started singing a song about the houses but hope was to nervous to really listen or understand what it had said. She was inside her head panicking until the dark haired girl was called Brookstone, Heather. So Heather is her name hope thought and shot the girl a smile as the hat yelled "Gryffindor". Hope examined the tables as the students got sorted the one she assumed was Gryffindor was the most boisterous of the tables yelling proudly at every member being added, the Hufflepuff seemed to be the friendliest applauding but as soon as the new student headed over they got a big group hug, the Ravenclaws seemed to scan each member of the house seemed to scan each new member for a few seconds before approving and applauding and the Slytherin well they were a wild card they seemed tough and almost as boisterous as Gryffindor but didn't seem to have quite the welcoming vibe. Hope was pulled out off her analysis of the houses by the calling of A boy named Walker,Ringo who skittered up the stairs so enthusiastically he tripped and fell slamming his face on the ground he bounced up like it was nothing and yelled to the audience "I did not fall I attacked the floor" the great hall exploded with laughter and hope could fell Meghan shacking from laughter until the headmistress glared and then there was silence, silence instantly! "Sorry mam' can't help being fabulous"Ringo said as the hall erupted into laughter again. The Headmistress cleared her throat and the hall was once again silence as she pointed at the stool but the hat interjected "no need I can sense him from here. Gryffindor". Hope smiled and I think I want Gryffindor they seem enthusiastic and have interesting people or maybe Hufflepuff they all seem so nice. After a little while Hope heard the name Yingi, Meghan and Meghan ran up and leaped onto the stool excitedly almost knocking it over. "I know just what to do with you to Hufflepuff with you"the hat yelped the second it was placed on Meghan's head. Meghan ran toward the Hufflepuff table and yelled for the glory of Hufflepuff as she got the biggest group hug off the day. Hope new Meghan would be fine she was an instant hit in her house already but hope knew she wouldn't be. She held her head lost in worry so she didn't here the headmistress call out unknown, Hope. Mutters rippled through the great hall that couldn't be her actual last name the u's Had been done ages ago. Hope couldn't here lost in her own head the only first year over there. Until Meghan sprang up,ran over grabbed her arm and dragged her towards the stage. "Let go of me I can walk"hope said pulling away and regaining composure. A voice inside hope's head spoke softly seeming arguing with its self your cunning but not a penny worth of ambition your kind and loyal but it has to be earned your smart but there are things you value more you can be incredibly brave but it needs to be brought out of you where do you belong little lady. The voice continued on like this for a long while. I may not always be brave but I will do anything I believe in even if it means being scared hope told the voice . "In that case better be Gryffindor"The hat yelled on her head. The table once again exploded with cheers she sat between Ringo and Heather. "How long was I up there"hope asked them. "About 10 minutes that's strange most of us we're sorted almost instantly"Heather said "I think you confused it your the mysterious unknown Hope" Ringo joked. Hope and Heather giggled and Hope smiled and thought maybe she wasn't doomed to be alone after all.

Harry's p.o.v.

Harry waited and then Professor McGongall announced the new mentor program and how each first year student would have one. Then flicked her wand and each mentor was whisked next to a student. He looked down and smiled to see the girl from the train and saw Ron and a boy sitting next to them. "Congrats you got squirt but I have the one that attacks floors"Ron said and ruffled "I'm gonna teach you some more comedy"he told him and then highfived his pupil. While my pupil had taken out a book I glanced at the title Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them. "Is it any good"I asked her. She looked at me "Yes Mr. Newt is a brilliant author". I laughed and told her"you sound like Hermione". "Thanks" she said eyes flitting back to her book. I saw Hermione on my other side on the opposite side of a girl as Gorge "ahh I will train you well my apprentice" he said running a hand through the girls dark hair. "You will not be teaching her pranking this is why you are not allowed to mentor alone and I'm stuck helping you and don't get this one all to my self"Hermione snaps and pulls the girl away from Gorge's grasp. "I have two mentors awesome who's the fabulous one now Ringo"Hermione's girl yelled sticking her tongue out at the boy Ron had been partnered with. "Still me don't get any ideas Heather"he yelped. My pupil the girl from the train smirked and said "look at you two bickering like an old married couple already" I looked from Ron to Hermione. "We only just became there mentors and there already starting to act like us"I joked. Hope rolled her eyes at me and read her book. "Food"Ron and Ringo yelled simultaneously when the feast appeared and everyone began to dig in.
