5 years later

"Tonight's gonna be the wildest night of the whole year!" I hear some senior yell across the hall.

"What's he talking about," I ask Mary. The hallway is packed with at least 100 kids. Just one more day and I'm out of this hell for 2 weeks. The only downside is the weather, you can't drive anywhere with all of this snow on the ground.

"Nothing important. Almost 50 students have decided tonight to go into the woods and throw a party or something. Idiots," she whispers under her breath.

Mary knows how i feel about the woods. Ive known her for about a few years and she doesn't judge or question me about my obsession with the woods. Most people do.

I cant help but feel a little angry that all of those kids are going into the woods tonight. It's stupid but i feel as if the woods are almost my place, even though I've only ever been in there once and that was ages ago.

"Are you going?" I ask trying to move past a couple eating each others face off right in front of my locker.

"Well, i um, i kinda had planned on going. But i totally don't have to go if you don't want. I can stay over at house and we can order a pizza if you want. What about a comedy movi-" i can tell she hadn't planned on me asking so i stop her.

"Its perfectly fine if you want to go... You know what? Ill go with you." I say grabbing my books from my locker.

She looks nervous, yet curious. I have to admit, I'm surprised i said it. But i need to be back in there. The only thing that has been holding me back has been my gut. Theres this voice in the back of my head that has been constantly telling me not go go back. It sounds like my mothers.

"Are y- are you sure?" We stop at the doors of her first class.

"Absolutely." I put on an excited smile for her sake. She jumps up and down and pulls me into a tight hug squealing like a dork.

"People are staring," i whisper into her ear and she laughs.

The class bell rings and she rushes into class. She turns around to stare at me.

"Im proud of you," she silently mouths to me. I smile to her and hurry to my first class.

Tonights gonna suck.
