Grace is always running away. She always comes back, but she tries to run from the thing that scares her the most.

The Unknown.

The Unknown of what life brings her. Anytime she is frightened, depressed, furious, or just disappointed, she runs out to the middle of "her spot" out in the middle of the woods where nobody can find her. She believes it is her Escape from this world even if it's for a little while. Nobody but her knows where it is and she has her own little hidden sanctuary where she writes. She writes about the darkness in her life, but she can never seem to finish any of the stories or lyrics she writes. She has a hidden six string friend with her at her secret hide out, but without Joy.... Hope.... Happiness. It all seems empty.

Her dad is a police officer and this makes it even worse because he isn't home a lot and Grace's dad has a girlfriend that doesn't seem to care about her. She tries to get Grace into as much trouble as she can, and then they can bicker about anything.

The Unknown is a scary place, and when something terrible happens that makes her run farther than the secret place. She runs far far far away. She never wants to turn back and if Grace was scared before, she is petrified of what is to come. Somehow though, she sees four guys that end up showing her a light that changes her life to let her know that God is there in The Unknown.......

but are they too late?
