-Camp Half-Blood, Earth; While Thalia and Annabeth are sitting on the porch laughing and joking around-

~Piper's Point of View~

It didn't feel right to leave Annabeth as she copes with Percy is missing again. When Lacy and I arrive at the Aphrodite cabin, my thoughts of the sad daughter of Athena.

"What happened?" I asked, shocked at what I was seeing.

Lacy flinched. "We told her not to, but...this happened." She weakly gestured to the front of the cabin and the gathered crowd.

"The unit leader didn't listen?" I was worried about what would happen the next time one of the unit leaders would get angry.

"What? No!" My younger sister shook her head in disbelief. "Drew was the one who caused this to happen!"

I knew that Drew can cause trouble when she wants to, but I would have never expected for one of the unit leaders to attack her.

Here, I stood at the edge of the half-circle gathering as we all watched as Drew hung from the side of our cabin by knives, keeping her clothes pinned.

"Charis!" The deep voice of another unit leader broke through the whispering demigods. He appeared from the sea of orange and stopped at the unit leader's side.

There was a brief whisper from the Unit 3 Leader, Vernandos, I think his name was. Charis nodded and soon both were gone. Every pair of eyes followed as they walked towards the woods.

"Are you okay?" My half-siblings started towards Drew, trying to figure out how to get her down.

"What's going on?" Chiron galloped up to us. He frowned over the scene. "What happened to Drew?"

"Chiron!" Drew screamed, still hanging from the cabin. "It was that maniac Chaos soldier! She started attacking me out of nowhere!"

"Liar!" Lacy frowned at her older sister. "Charis was just talking to us and then you started a fight with her!"

Drew sneered. "I don't fight."

"You were the one who pushed her-"

"What happened?"

We all turned toward the voice. I couldn't see his face through the hood, but I could feel his withering glare.

I saw several demigods shiver.

"Well?" He demanded again, looking at everyone in turn.

"Uh-" A younger camper gulped.

"Yes?" The icy tone didn't waver.

"Um, Sir. Didn't you say that you wouldn't be back until after dinner...?" Her light brown eyes stared at Kosmos while she waits for his answer.

No one did anything as we waited with bated breath.

"My...meeting finished faster than I thought it would." The assassin's reply was in his usual tone.

Somehow, I could see that he was somewhat softer when talking to Kasey, I believe her name was. She's a new camper, a daughter of Demeter.

"That doesn't answer my question." He looked straight at me. I could feel his cold eyes piercing into my soul. "What happened here?"

Before I could form a reply, Drew spoke up. "If you really want to know!" She stifled a yelp as Kosmos turned to her. "It-it was...that Chaos soldier-Charis!"

Kosmos didn't react to the accusation.

"Kosmos, respectively-"

"No need, Chiron." He moved swiftly to where Drew hung. He pulled the knives out and stepped out of the way as she fell to the ground.

It was silent through it all.

"Next time you want to accuse Charis, or any of the other leaders, don't use charmspeak. It will only hinder you. Us soldiers, " His tone grew mocking. "Know when someone uses abilities like yours."

Kosmos turned and began to walk away.

"W-wait!" Little Kasey shouted, scurrying off with the assassin.

He didn't say anything about the demigod following him. I did notice he slowed his pace a little to let her keep up with his long legs.

And soon they disappeared into the woods of Camp Half-Blood.

Alright, a few things you (readers) need to know.

1) This chapter is only 645 words long. It is incredibly short.

2) While writing this a little after I published the fifth chapter, I realized that my writing style has changed a lot over the years. And I think that I'm going to stop writing fanfiction here soon.

3) Vet Tech school is kicking my butt. I actually failed a quiz last week. We (as a collective class) were told that if it's too tough or challenging, then maybe this isn't the career for us. Ouch. The truth hurts.

4) After a lot of consideration, I am solely going to focus on school. If I find the time or inspiration, I will write. Know that my schedule is very demanding and I've already have had multiple breakdowns from the intensity of it all.

5) This chapter took a turn. A very different turn than what I was originally planning for it. Kosmos wasn't supposed to show up until later. And then I found myself writing him in and then I got to the end of this chapter and realized, there's nothing left to write. I couldn't continue writing, so my options were to either publish or wait (which could have easily been weeks before I touch this book again).

6) It is currently 1:30 am for me right now. I should be asleep, but I wanted to check this off my to-do list as I didn't accomplish as much that I wanted to do this weekend. The majority of my list was schoolwork.

7) There was a comment on the last chapter for me to update, so here it is. This is for you, brunuhvillefantasy! I've been slowly trying to work through my to-do list so I could publish this chapter. Thank you for your comment! I will try to update as much as I can. I can't promise anything though! I'm technically going to med school online. Which is worse than it sounds. I want actual patients now. Anyway, this took me several days to finally sit down (I'm actually laying down while writing this, but it applies?) and get this out for you.

8) I finally hit 1,000 words for this chapter, but that's including this author's note. I'm really glad my class tomorrow doesn't start until 1 pm.

9) I think there was something I wanted to say...Oh! Right! So, this is random, but I accidentally found this album on Sunday while I was listening to iTunes radio while doing schoolwork (because that's all I do nowadays) and I am in love. I have been listening to it ever since.

Anyway! It's late, I've written a too-short of a chapter, and then overdid it when it came to my author's note.

I apologize for this.
