How God works
How God works
I've already discussed my idea about what God is and what his interaction with us is like. However, I think that it needs more clarification.
The problem with God is the fact that we humans have no idea what God is or what God looks like. When we say that God lives, what exactly does that mean?
We define life as something that can move, creating the energy to do so from the environment, and reproduce. Reproduction is essential in order to continue the species. That would not be the case if the species is immortal so we can eliminate it because God is immortal.
Obviously, God must be able to move, but does God need energy to do so. Perhaps God doesn't require energy to move or think because God is some form of exotic energy, a form that we don't understand. Perhaps this could explain how God can be everywhere because most energy has a field that can extend to infinity.
Again, these are only theoretical ideas because we don't have any proof that God exists or that God created the universe. That's comes under the realm of faith.
Let's say for the sake of argument that God does exist. In fact, this is an 'A priori' argument, essentially a former conclusion without proof but from reason. The conclusion derives from the logical idea that there must be a prime mover of all actions, including the action of creation.
Now, if God is the prime mover, then the next question is obvious. How did God create the universe?
Most cosmologists recognize the Big Bang as being the beginning of the universe. At that time energy in the form of a singularity popped into existence and then eventually expanded out to cool down so that matter could form, the same matter that consists of everything we see. If this was the case, then it could suggest that God created the universe by manipulating energy to concentrate it. This would also suggest that energy and the laws of physics that explain it already existed. There are some cosmologists and quantum physicists that believe this is the case, but they don't propose that this energy was concentrated to form the universe by a God. They believe it did it on its own.
Let's say for the sake of argument that God did concentrate energy to form the Big Bang. This would suggest that God is a form of energy that's both intelligent and very powerful. We already realize that energy and force can be used to manipulate other forms of energy by either conversion or transformation. We use magnetic force to contain antimatter. We use mechanical energy to accelerate particles that create a collision that forms lots of quantum energy and particles. The sun uses nuclear energy to form photons, which is a form of energy known as light. Perhaps God is a higher form of energy that transcends the physics that we know.
Now, if God is some form of higher energy then it could explain how the universe exists in its present form. Since God is intelligent and able to concentrate energy, it would explain why the universe resulted in our creation. This God would have known what sort of energy mix and concentration was needed to result in a universe that would form us.
I realize that some cosmologists and quantum physicists believe that God wasn't needed for this. They assume that random chance created the universe that ended up making us. They claim that a multiverse theory would allow for this random happening. The problem with this theory is that we don't know how many universes would have to be created to result in one that made us. Even if there are an infinite number of universes we have no idea if that would result in a perfect universe. It could be that the parallel universes are not similar (have different physical constants) to ours or that an infinite number of universes are not possible.
Again, it comes down to faith, which is not a part of science. This is the reason that some scientists don't believe in God. I can understand that, but I'm not one of them.
