Chapter 22 Relating to a hurting kid(idk anymore)

I got on one knee and picked her up bridal style. Her head resting against my chest. I flew down to the ground and walked back inside the dorms. I found her room that she was sharing with Momo. Mina took a picture as I passed her room without me noticing. When Momo opened the door and saw me holding Ryoko. She lit up.
'I ship it!'

She let me inside and I put Ryoko down on her bed. She seemed mad to lose the heat from my body as she made an angry face in her sleep and attempted to find me. Which I promptly moved away from her so she didn't get a grip on me. I said goodnight to Momo and went to my room. Bakugo and Kirishima were already in there. Bakugo grunted at me to acknowledge my existence while Kirishima lit up.

"Hey man! Where were you? You and Ryoko just disappeared." Kirishima asked from his bed. He sat up and swung his legs over the side. Bakugo was staring up at the ceiling.
"Oh. We went on top of the dorms and watched the stars for a bit." I said scratching my cheek. He looked dumbfounded but not surprised.

"How am I not surprised." He said as he sighed and laid back down. I looked at him puzzled and he smiled at me and waved me off. I sat down at the edge of my bed. I removed my shoes and shirt before climbing into bed.

The next morning we were woken up by the pros. It was before dawn. I blearily looked ahead of me. The sky was a dull grey this early.
Man I haven't gotten up this early in a long time.

"Gogeta." Aizawa said once we were all before him. I looked at him sleepily and blinked. "I want you to throw this." He tossed me the softball from our quirk assessment test. I blinked at it.
What? Again?

"Ok." I said blankly still not quite sure what was happening yet.
"How far do you think it'll go?"
"Way further than last time."
I knew what Aizawa was trying to get at, but that wouldn't work with me. Powering up to what I thought was satisfactory I winded up and threw the ball with a loud yell.

"Not the point I was trying to make but I'll explain in a second." Aizawa said as he showed us a screen with 500,000 on it. My whole class deadpanned.
"That's a bit much." Ryoko said. She had her hands in her pockets. Everyone was in their gym uniforms. "Do you really have to show off like that?" She asked me scowling, but her eyes were smiling from amusement.

I rubbed the back of my neck. "I can't help myself sometimes." I said smiling. She rolled her eyes.
"Obviously." She said in a very snarky tone.
"The point I was going to make was while you have been improving, your quirks themselves have not. So at this camp we'll focus on making your quirks stronger. Get ready for hell." Aizawa said. Everyone froze. I blinked again.
What's he talking about?

Training camp begun. Bakugo was plunging his hands into boiling water then making giant explosions while yelling damn it once in a while. Iida was constantly running. Tokoyami was in a dark cave trying to control dark shadow. Tsu was rock climbing. Uraraka was rolling around in a hamster ball (don't ask). Ojiro was attacking Kirishima. Aoyama was constantly firing lasers. Sero was shooting tape out his elbows without stopping, screaming in agony. Momo was eating while constantly producing something. Sato was lifting weights while eating cake. Mineta was popping off balls, his head was bleeding. Kaminari was being electrocuted. Todoroki was trying to even out the temperature of a bucket of water he was in by using both quirks. Jiro was hitting a rock with her jacks. Mina was constantly producing acid right next to her. Koji was yelling. Mezo was using his dupli arms to look for Hagakure who was working on stealth. Midoriya was doing... something. I really didn't know what. Meanwhile I was fighting earth creatures. On a mountain with high altitude making breathing harder. With 44 tons weighing me down. And half of my strength inhibited. Ryoko was on the other side of the mountain also fighting earth creatures and wearing her weighted clothing. Every once and a while I'd here a 'damn it!' Or 'die you bastards!' coming from her side of the mountain. I'd see red light flash all the time. I heard class 1-b arrive. All that could be heard from the luming mountain in front of them were explosions, blue light, red light, Ryoko yelling, and monstrous yells. They were horrified. After hours when the sun was almost setting we were done.

I gladly slid down the face of the mountain. Exhausted after fighting for so long. I collapsed onto the ground face first once I reached the cafeteria. I reduced the weight on me back to 32 tons. Everyone was dead. Ryoko collapsed next to me.
"That was hell." She said face down in the dirt. I lifted my head up from the dirt to smile at her.

"Alright! You remember the deal! You have to make your own food from now on!" Pixie bob exclaimed. Ragdoll started laughing.
"HAHAHAHAH! YOU GUYS LOOK EXHAUSTED!!" She exclaimed pointing at us. At the prospect of dinner I lit up with joy and energy. I jumped off of the ground.
"Gogeta... how do you have energy?" Kirishima asked as he slumped to the floor.

"We get dinner!" I yelled excitedly.
"YAY!!!" Ryoko hopped off the ground. My class sweat dropped.
"We have to make it." Kaminari said.
"Same thing." I gestured to Bakugo and Ryoko to go to the kitchen.
"Alright! What do you guys want?!" I exclaimed getting into a running position. Class 1-b was currently disbelieving Bakugo, Ryoko, and I could make enough food for everyone. Especially Monoma.
"Ha! Do you guys plan to cook for everyone? My my, class 1-A really is cocky. I doubt you guys have an ounce of cooking skill combined." He said smiling like a maniac.

"You doubting me you fucker?!" Ryoko exclaimed as she stomped over and gripped Monoma's shirt after his comment.
"O-of course not!" He said waving his hands.
"I was just simply stating 3 people could not possibly make enough food for all of us." He said smirking.

"Watch and wait bastard." She said as she dropped him. He hit the ground with a thud.
"How bout curry!" Ilda exclaimed finding energy himself.
"Ok!" We went into the kitchen to begin. Bakugo, Ryoko, and I had a contest on who could chop vegetables the fastest.
"Wow. Bakugo is so good with a knife. It's weird." Uraraka commented as she brought us vegetables.

"HUH??!!! WHAT DO YOU MEAN ITS WEIRD!!!! HOW ARE YOU IDIOTS BAD AT EVERYTHING!!!" He shouted turning to her while increasing his speed even more.
"LOOK WHO'S TALKING EXPLODO BOY!!!" Ryoko shouted her speed greater than both of ours. And to be honest I don't know how she was moving faster than me. About 10 minutes later pots were boiling on fires with all ingredients added. 30 minutes later all food was done.

"That was quick." Everyone exclaimed as I laid the food out.
"Eat up!" I said as I sat down and dug in myself.
"WOOOAAAAAA!!!! THIS IS SO GOOD!!!"
"IVE NEVER HAD CURRY THIS GOOD BEFORE!!!!"
"ITS SO GOOD!!!!"

Everyone dug into their food. As I was eating. I was on plate 51 at this point I watched Kota leave without eating. I picked up one of my plates that had food on it still to follow him.
"Gogeta where you going man?" Kirishima asked with his face stuffed full.
"I'll be right back I just need to take care of something." I smiled at him. Tracking Kota's ki I followed him through the forest to a cliff and a cave over looking the forest and the camp. He sat down at the edge.
"Nice spot kid." I said as I sat down next to him. He shot me a dirty look. I sensed Ryoko. She was hidden in the shadow of the mountain. Listening silently. She probably saw me follow after Kota.

"Why are you up here?" He snapped.
"To watch the stars." I said as I turned my head upwards. The sky was lit with stars. A half crescent moon hung low in the sky.
"Then why do you have curry?" He asked me still not trusting me.
"Hmm? Oh that's for you." I said as I handed him the plate. I laid down on my back, my head being supported by my hands.
The stars are beautiful.

"Why are you here?" He asked me again.
"I thought I already told you. To watch the stars." I said keeping my voice calm and polite.
"You can do that anywhere." He snapped.
"Don't want to. This has the best view after all. I see why you like it." I said not changing my tone. He sighed. He set the plate down next to him.

"Why do you like the stars so much?" He asked as he glared at the forest. I smiled.
"They remind me of home." I said wistfully.
"Why would they do that?" His glare turned towards me. I turned to look at him and smiled. His guard faltered for a moment.
"Where I grew up I was completely isolated from other humans besides my parents. There were no other buildings around and there wasn't another village or town for miles. And at night the sky was lit with stars. Far as you can see. It lit up the whole night. You could see everything. Galaxies. Gas clouds. Planets. Northern lights. You could see them all. It made me realize how small we are. So when I look at the stars it reminds me of home. But it's so bright where my school is located I couldn't see them. I haven't seen them in days." I thought back to my little mountain home in the middle of nowhere. I smiled fondly.
Dad really knows how to find a good place to live.

He listened silently. "I know why you hate heroes. I know why you hate quirks." I said after a silence had fallen. He snapped his head towards me.
"You remind me of a friend." I said as I looked up.
"What friend?" He snapped.
"Her name is Ryoko. She has pink and brown hair. She's almost as tall as me. Her eyes are pitch black." I made a few hand motions to get my point across. Recognition flashed across his features.

"How do I remind you of her?" He asked. His voice still cold. He never took his eyes off me.
"She lost her mom at a young age. She was consumed with rage and hate just like you. But she's learning to open up again. Learning to be a normal kid, like I am. She's a bit sadistic because of what happened to her, but she's sweat. And while she's consumed with hate it's slowly draining away to acceptance and love. And nothing makes me happier than to see that. And while she didn't hate quirks like you she definitely hated villains." I paused for a second debating something in my head.

"So I'll share a little secret with you. I have no quirk." I said smiling at him. His eyes widened.
"Then why would you become a hero? Don't you know that's dangerous. Only an idiot with no quirk would try to become a hero." He spat. I smiled at him. His guard faltered again.
"While normally I'd agree with you on that I'm not a normal human."

"How So?" He was getting more and more curious about me. I smiled.
"I can fly." I said as I sat up. He snorted.
"Yeah right. That's impossible." He crossed his arms and looked away.
"I'll prove it." I said as I stood up. "Wanna go for a ride?" I asked. Offering him my hand. He glared at me. He only Hesitated a moment before grabbing my hand.

I swung him around til he was on my back piggyback style. He gripped my neck tightly. I took off. I made sure to go slowly. He slowly opened his eyes. He looked around himself slowly. Realizing he was in fact flying. Wide eyed he looked around him. I steadily flew higher til we were the same height as the clouds. He put his hand through one.

"Woah." He breathed. He looked down to see the forest far down below. I picked up my speed til we were above one of the big cities. The intricate web of streets and lights across the ground. I slowed down. He looked over my shoulder.
"It kinda looks like the stars." He breathed.
"Yeah. They kinda do." I said smiling.
I've never thought of it that way.

I flew around with him til he fell asleep. Once he did I flew slowly back til I touched back down at the camp near the dorms.
"Where'd you go man you just disappeared?" Kirishima asked. Coming up from behind me. It looked like he came from the bathhouse. I pointed to Kota who was still clinging to my back.
"Ohh gotcha. He sure looks kind when he's sleeping." Kirishima said as he got closer. "What were you doing?"

"I took him for a little flight." I said.
"And he let you?" Kirishima asked surprised. "He won't even let us talk to him." I smiled.
"I have my ways." I walked passed him to where Aizawa, Ragdoll, Pixie Bob, Tiger, Vlad king, and Mandalay were talking.

"What is it Gogeta?" Aizawa asked as I approached. Vlad King's eyes lit up with realization.
"Just dropping something off." I said as I neared Mandalay and turned around so they could see Kota still sleeping on my back.
"Oh Kota! We were wondering where he went." Mandalay said as she reached for him. But as soon as she touched him he held onto me tighter. She smiled. "Where'd you find him?"

I turned back around seeing as she had no luck dislodging the boy from my back.
"I saw he had no dinner so I followed him to a cliff with some curry. He wasn't to pleased I followed him. I told him I wanted to watch the stars. I talked to him for a bit. Told him I had no quirk. He questioned me why I would be trying to become a hero. I told him I wasn't normal and I could fly. He disbelieved me so I told him I would show him. I took him flying around for awhile til he fell asleep." I smiled at the recent events. Mandalay smiled.

"I'm glad he's warming up to someone. It's been so hard for him. I don't think he's going to get go of you anytime soon so you might just have to go to bed with him." I smiled.
"That's fine." I waved goodbye to the pros and walked back to the lodging. Most of the girls were walking out of the bathhouse and saw me with Kota clinging to my back sleeping.

"Oi where'd the kid come from? Did you forget to tell me something?" Ryoko said. I couldn't tell if she was joking or not. Her face was completely neutral. I started sweating. She bursted out laughing.
"I'm just joking. I know it's Kota. You should've seen your face though." She snickered. Kota blearily opened his eyes to look at Ryoko. She smiled at him.
How did I not realized that? Am I getting rusty around her?

"Go back to sleep." She whispered. She rubbed his back and closed his eyes with her fingers.
"Mm kay." He said.
"Cute!" Hagakure squealed. She took out her phone and snapped a picture quickly. The girls followed behind me back to the lodging. I talked with Ryoko as we walked. I said goodnight and went down the boys hallway and went to my room. I opened the door to find Bakugo in bed staring at the ceiling. Kirishima had left for extra classes since he failed the test. Bakugo looked at me.

"Why the fuck are you hunching?" He asked. I brought a finger to my lips to shush him. He looked puzzled. I turned slightly so he could see Kota sleeping on my back.
"He wouldn't let go." I said as he snickered.
"He's like a leach." He said as I sat down on my bed. I sighed. I took off my shoes and socks. I brushed my teeth. I sat back down on my bed. I managed to remove Kota from my back without waking him up. But he instead held my hand. I removed my shirt, he gripped that instead. Bakugo meanwhile was laughing silently at my struggles. I laid down and pulled the covers over both of us.

The next morning Pixie bob woke us up quieter than usual considering I had Kota in here. She had walked in to find Kota snuggled up next to my chest while I had an arm around him. Her eyes lit up and she took a picture before waking us up. She took Kota to his room. Bakugo and Kirishima were laughing at me.

"Why are you guys still laughing?" I asked as we joined the rest of our class.
"It's just funny that he warmed up to you of all people." Kirishima said
"How's that funny?" I exclaimed.
"You just don't seem like the person he'd like the most." He said again.
"I can agree with that." Bakugo said.
"He'd be more likely to warm up to Bakugo. Seeing as they both got spunk." Ryoko said as she approached. Bold as ever.

"YOU BETTER WATCH YOUR MOUTH!!!" Bakugo yelled to her while Kirishima and I tried to hid our laughing.
"WHAT WILL YOU DO YOU OVER GROWN SQUIRREL!!!" She shouted back.
"WHY YOU-!!!" They both grabbed the others shirts. I grabbed Ryoko. Wrapping my arms around her waist while Kirishima grabbed Bakugo.

"Who's warming up to Gogeta?" Mina asked as she came over. I let go of Ryoko who had calmed down. But then she made a move for her pockets and I quickly grabbed her wrists. Her back against my chest as she struggled. She kept an emergency mustard and wasabi tube in her pockets.

"Kota." Now everyone else was in on the conversation. Ryoko struggled even harder.
"You mean the little boy. He was so cute clinging to Gogeta last night!" Hagakure cheered. Kirishima snickered. Ryoko was at this point trying everything to get free to attack Bakugo.
"You should've seen them this morning. He was snuggled up next to Gogeta's chest." The girls awwed. Well Ryoko didn't. She finally stopped struggling and I let go.
"That's one way to win the girls." Kaminari commented. After the discussion of Kota not letting go of me was over we began training.

Mine was the same as yesterday's. At the end of the day I once again slid down the mountain.
"Dinner!!" I cheered as I ran to the kitchen.  Everyone deadpanned.
"Oi Wait you idiot!!" Ryoko yelled running after me.
"We obviously aren't working them hard enough." Pixie bob commented.
"It's not that. It's just that they get renewed energy at the prospect of food." Aizawa said as a great amount of wind was being blown out of the kitchen. Along with a bunch of shouting. About 30 minutes later Bakugo, Ryoko, and I were done. Once again everyone dug into their food.

"Gogeta!! Bakugo!!!! Ryoko!!!! You guys are so good at this!!!"
"You've outdone yourself!"
"So delicious!!!"
"I could eat this everyday!!!" Once we were done eating we were going to have a test of courage.

I have a bad feeling about this...
