Step 9

Sometimes it takes time to know what the hell you're doing.

Step 9

-

Ty sat on his small couch, his knees against his chest and a pillow between. Slightly chewing on the fabric, his eyes were fixed upon his phone.

He was texting.

T: What time does it start?

L: About 8:00

T: Why so early

L: Because we need the most time we can receive

T: You're making the day sound short

L: Because it is!

T: It's 12 hours of day light, Linda

L: Well it's autumn, Tyler

Ty set down his phone, sighing. His hair slightly swept his long eyelashes, making Ty notice that he might need a shower.

A fluff ball passed him, causing Ty to slightly twitch in thought. Did that cat need to be cleaned? Or did it realize that Ty had no tolerance for paw prints on the rug?

-------

Adam tapped his desk, staring at his co-worker. Or should he say newbie?

"Did you seriously break the coffee machine?" Damn him and all he ever loved.

"Y-You see, it was an accident.." The boy's hazel hair slightly pointed upwards.

"..." Adam stared at him. "Fix your bed hair."

Ryan blushed in embarrassment, quickly attempted to unpoof his hair.

--------

Ty stared at the cat as the feline stared at the water filled tub cautiously.

"Maybe if we just.." Ty gently picked up the cat, and slowly started to lower her into the barely filled tub.

The calico looked at him with a daring look. Ty stared back, not loosing a beat. Then the feline's tail hit the water.

-------

Adam watched Ryan as he wasn't even giving Adam a care to look. He instead was staring at Lindsey from the office window.

"Damn... is she single?" Adam slightly twitched as Ryan whistled.

"She's married." Adam growled.

Ryan just continued to stare, his hungry eyes looking wherever a pervert might look.

Was this lack of irony?

-------

It was worse, Ty thought, staring at himself in the mirror. A huge scratch on his nose, and smaller scratches on his cheek and his hands. An awkward gnash was also positioned on his wrist, starting from near a vain, and ending at the tip of his thumb.

Maybe he should see a doctor for that. He didn't have a big enough hello kitty bandage to cover that up.

-------

Ryan suddenly slammed his fist on the table.

"Adam!" Ryan's smile was tight.

"What." Adam stared loosely at the idiot before him.

"How about we settle this?!" Ryan declared.

"I'll smack you." Adam offered.

------

Before Ty headed out, he made sure he wrote down his daily poem (even if it was short), and quickly placed a hello kitty bandage on the bridge of his nose, and tended to the 'smaller' wounds.

Opening the door, he made one last check to see if the cat was fine, (which it was, it was simply sitting on the counter looking out the window) then headed out.

------

Momma once told me,

in order to not get hurt,

don't name it.

------ A/N
