Devika runs down the streets, tears rolling down her face. Sreya runs after her begging her to slow down, Devika reaches Malachi's house surrounded by guards, and runs to the entrance, one of the soldiers stops her,

"Woah, no Devika you don't want to-" The soldier starts but she interrupts

"No! I'm in charge, move aside, that's an order!" Devika yells and pushes past the soldiers, entering the house she sees her sister on the ground, gun in hand, and lying limp on the floor. The coffee table and carpet were soaked with fresh blood. Devika's eyes widen and she steps back shaking her head.

"No...No...She can't be..." Devika trails off and runs back out of the house, doubling over and puking on the street Sreya looks over at her and frowns before entering the house, after a few more minutes Devika feels a hand on her back, she looks up to see Malachi smiling. She tears up again and practically jumps up to hug him.

"It's so terrible! How could she do this? She left me all alone!" Devika sobs and Malachi brushes her hair out of her face.

"Hey, you're not alone Devi. I'll always be here for you. Come on why don't we get you home okay?" Devika nods and holds onto his side as they walk down the street as they walk he speaks up again,

"You know, this means you're in charge of Petra now. I think you'll be an amazing leader." Malachi smiles while rubbing her head.

"I can't do it alone, will you run this place with me?" Devika asks looking up at him and he smiles holding her in a hug to hide his wicked grin,

"Of course my dear" Malachi smiles

They eventually arrive back at the church as Clair and Caritas are exiting, Malachi kisses Devika and walks away as she walks to the church. When Malachi is sure he's alone he starts to laugh,

"Oh my, I've won. Exactly as planned" Malachi grins and his crow lands on his arm and looks up at him.

"Ah, my Mimic Crows, what would I do without you guys?" Malachi tenderly sets the crow down and it shifts into a version of Clair and it nods,

"You like this one Father?" Mimic Clair giggles and Malachi glares at it

"Don't call me that here you idiot, and don't transform in public! Did I not teach you anything?" Malachi slaps it across the cheek causing it to transform back into the crow and resting on his shoulder.

"As soon as the other one returns you'll have to replace Sreya or Caritas. I would say Caritas." Malachi says and the Mimic Crow nods and flies off.

"You can talk to crows?" A kid's voice says behind him and he turns to see Sadie, one of Cecilia's kids. Malachi smiles and leans down to her.

"Yes, but it's a secret so let's just keep it between us." Malachi rubs her head and she smiles and nods

"Okay!" She leans into his hands and he smiles

"How old are you dear?" Malachi asks and Sadie giggles

"I'm twelve!" She responds

Malachi hums this child isn't as intelligent as most twelve-year-olds, well he doesn't have much to do while he waits.

"Where is your mom?" Malachi asks

"She's visiting Kit at the church, Asu is there too but I snuck away." Sadie smiles and Malachi laughs

"Ah, a troublemaker! You mentioned your mother and sister, what about your father?" Malachi asks but he knows exactly where Boran is.

"He's in Heaven" Sadie sadly smiles

"Doubtful" Malachi mumbles
    "What?" Sadie asks tilting her head

"Nothing dear, why don't I go get you some ice cream or something" Malachi smiles and Sadie grins

"Really?" She asks and Malachi nods, walking away with her.

At the church, Devika approaches Caritas and Clair, Caritas looks over and smiles, Devika waves but is too tired to talk. She walks in and Caritas sighs shaking his head,

"I hope she'll be okay. Sure Leela made mistakes, but every leader at some point messes up." He says and Clair nods Caritas turns back to her,

"Did you read the passages I've highlighted in the bible I gave you?" Caritas asks and Clair shakes her head,

"Sorry, not yet a lot has happened," Clair responds sheepishly and just before Caritas can say something Cecilia approaches heavy bags under her eyes and Asu by her side,

"Hey...I heard about Kit. Are they okay?" Cecilia asks tiredly and Caritas nods,

"They're resting right now but they will make a full recovery soon." Caritas wants to say more about Leela and Malachi but he decides one problem at a time. Caritas looks up to the sky seeing the dark clouds rolling in and he frowns,

"Looks like a storm is brewing, it'll be a rough one" Caritas sighs and Clair nods, Sreya comes out of the church yelling into the radio,

"If they don't have IDs we can't let them in!" Sreya looks very annoyed but sighs and walks over to Clair.

"Clair right? Look, there are two people outside the gate saying they know you and Kit." Sreya looks skeptically

"Brock and Charlie? Yeah, they're with us. Good people, ex-military" Clair nods and Sreya narrows her eyes and turns back to the church yelling for Devika, after a moment Devika peeks her head out of the upstairs window and shouts down.

"What?" Devika rubs her eyes and Sreya explains the situation, prompting Devika to look at Clair and then nod,

"Let them in then" Devika returns and closes the window. Sreya nods and gives the all-clear to the soldiers out of the gate.

Brock is the first one to see Clair and he smiles running over to her and hugging her tightly just like Boran used to, Charlie laughs and gives Clair a small hug before looking around,

"Where's Kit?" Charlie asks fear in her voice

"They're okay they just took a fall, they're inside the church resting," Clair responds and Charlie nods running inside. Brock looks over at Cecilia awkwardly standing there and smiles before turning to Clair,

"Sorry did we interrupt something?" Brock asks and Clair shakes her head

"No it's okay, I thought you weren't going to try to enter Petra though," Clair says and Brock waves his hand dismissively,

"I'll tell you later" Brock nods, as Clair returns her gaze to Cecilia she now notices that Sadie isn't there.

"Hey Cecilia, where's Sadie?" Clair asks and Cecilia's face turns pale as she looks to her side.

Just at that moment, thunder crashes and rain starts falling from the sky.

The storm has begun.
