Chapter 2
The girl hadn't come out of the room in days. Her blinds were shut, but still little rays of sun seeped through the blinds. It was finally cloudy enough to where Monday could walk the streets of Storybrooke and maybe get a cup of coffee. The bell on the door to Granny's Diner sounded as the door was pushed open. Now, while most people would have an umbrella with them to keep themselves dry from the buckets and buckets of rain coming down, Monday didn't seem phased by the rain. In fact she wasn't even carrying an umbrella. She sat down at a table in the corner. As you can imagine the diner was packed.
"Hi! Can I help you?" The teenager from the bed and breakfast asked
"Coffee. Hot coffee." Monday said "no cream, no sugar." The young woman nodded and went to fill the order. Within the minute she was back with the cup of coffe. Steam rose from the cup, so it was indeed hot. Well it was either a fresh pot or Granny was trying to pull the wool over the new girl's eyes and microwave what was left of the old pot of coffee. "My name is Ruby if you need anything else" the young woman said before going to other tables.
Everything seemed to be going smoothly. Typical morning in Storybrooke. Until something happened that caught Regina off guard, making her go over to Monday's table. A disembodied hand came out of Monday's purse with a small bottle of poison. "Thank you Thing." Monday said, before pouring it into her coffee like it was milk.
Regina's eyes and so did the rest of some of other Storybrooke residents widened, seeing this. Who put poison in their coffee? Henry raised an eyebrow. She was weird. She was different. She'd shake things up. But she also wasn't in his book.
Regina went over to Monday's table. "Excuse me miss, but where are your parents?"
Monday looked at her. "Home with my younger brother and sister. They said I was old enough to go on a trip alone as long as I don't do anything too crazy"
"Well don't you think put poison in your drink would be something they would reprimanded you for?"
"Nah. This is how I normally take my coffee. Sometimes I add blood to it for an extra zing"
Regina was shocked , but intrigued to say the least. "Well I'm going to insist that you have a parent or guardian with you to keep you safe"
"Fair enough. I'll call someone later"
This place had potential it could actually grow on Monday like moss on tree or vines on a wall.
