28- Having a little fun

Ethan grabbed the pizzas from Grace's hands, he set them on the counter, and went back out to his car to grab the paper plates. Just as he was walking back into the house, he heard a car pull up, and turned around. He placed his hand above his eyes, trying to focus on seeing who pulled into the driveway.

He grinned, and chuckled after realizing that that the girls boyfriends were there, and couldn't wait to have a talk with them. He thought about going over to their car, but didn't want to scare them off, and to have the girls be upset with him. They nervously walked closer to the door, when they saw Ethan standing at the door holding onto the doorknob, and smiling at them.

"Hello there, how are you two doing this fine evening?" Ethan asked.

"I'm good." Chris smiled.

"Same here." says Andrew.

They both stood there nervous as could be, all because of the last time they were over, and was now curious as to what Ethan was going to do, or say this time.

"Come on in, I brought over a few pizzas. You both like pizza, do you not?" Ethan asked as he opened the door. I do he heard them both say.

The girls saw the boys walk inside with Ethan, and both of their stomachs dropped, their faces turning a different shade of red, and both wondering if Ethan said anything to them. They walked over to boys with widened eyes, and Gabriella whispered into Andrew's ear, asking if Ethan said anything to them, and felt relieved when he told her no.

"Come get something to eat, there's plenty here." Ethan smiled as he took out some slices, setting them on a plate for Grace. Ilona stood back waiting for the real Ethan to come out, knowing it would eventually.

Ethan walked over to Grace, and handed her the plate he fixed for her "I'm like Domino's Pizza, if I don't come in thirty minutes, the next one is free." he winked. Grace gave him a funny look, as did Ilona, covering her mouth. Ilona hoped that the girls didn't understand what just came out of his mouth, and knew it was only a matter of time before he started making comments.

Ilona grabbed the kids each a slice of pizza, and had them sit at the table to eat "Thanks for bringing pizza over, I was just looking in the fridge, trying to figure out what to make for dinner." Ilona said to Grace, and Ethan.

"We're going downstairs, can we bring one of the pizzas down there with us?" Gabriella asked.

"Go ahead." Ethan smiled. "But first, I would like to talk to these fine young gentlemen before they go downstairs with you two."

"Ethan please, don't embarrass us." Isabella cried out, looking over at Ilona.

"Ethan... let them go down there, I'm sure everything will be just fine." Ilona snapped, feeling sorry for the girls.

"Just give me two minutes with them, don't worry I'm not going to harm them." he grinned.

Ethan pulled the boys to the side, and asked them both what they liked about the girls, when they gave him a good reason, Ethan went on to the next question. "You're virgins, right?" he asked, watching their faces turn red, and happy to hear they were. He then talked to them about not trying anything on the girls, or they would have to answer to him. He felt they had a good talk, and only embarrassing them once. He felt they were good kids, and had a feeling the girls did good at choosing them as their boyfriends.

"Just one more thing before you go down to the girls, I'd like to give you a little advice." he says with a smile.

"What's that?" Chris asked.

"I just wanted to say, that if a midget happened to stand next to your girlfriend saying that her hair smells nice, I give you permission to kick him in the balls."

The boys smiled, quickly turned around, and headed down the stairs. They didn't know what to say, and were laughing as they went down the stairs.

"Ethan was that really necessary?" Grace asked, trying to hold her laugh back.

"What? I was just giving them some good advice, that's all." he grinned devilishly, and sat down next to her, smiling as he held his nose up into the air "You know, I thought it was the pizza that smelled good, but damn, now I know it's you."

Ilona had to laugh, she knew Ethan couldn't help himself, and was missing his comments he would make towards her. She was happy to see that he was happy, and still saying his cheesy pick-up lines "Did Antonio call, and have you come over?" Ilona asked, while taking a bite of her pizza.

"Yes, he called earlier, sounding stressed, and worried, he wasn't sure if you would be able to handle it. To be honest with you, I have a feeling that you could've handled it, but if I didn't show up, I didn't need him being pissed at me. Besides, it gives Grace time to spend with the kids."

Grace stood up, and excused herself when the kids grabbed her hand, wanting to play hide and seek with her. Ethan stayed at the table, and talked with Ilona. "Thank you for giving her work my number, they ended up calling an ambulance, and took her to the hospital."

She smiled, and looked at him "You're welcome, they sounded worried on the phone, and you were the only person I could think of that could get her. Besides the fact she's your responsibility now. I was surprised when they said they didn't have your number."

"It's all good, they have my number now."

"What happened anyway?" she asked curiously. She knew something had been going on with her, and hoped it wasn't serious. She was thinking she may be pregnant, but was afraid to ask. She could see a difference in Grace, but wasn't sure if that was the reason. One thing she did notice, was Grace not giving her any dirty looks anymore.

"She had a fainting spell at work, and one of the employees found her laying on the ground, bleeding from the forehead. That was when they started looking for someone to pick her up, and when they couldn't get her to open her eyes, and to drink some water, they called an ambulance. They ran some tests; her blood sugar was extremely low, and that's what caused her lightheadedness, and for her to faint." He had to stop himself from talking, he was seconds away from telling her that she was pregnant, and knew Grace would have his ass.

"What else did they find?"

He sighed, and looked away "There were a couple other tests that came back abnormal, but it wasn't something they were concerned about, and figured it had to do with her low blood sugar, throwing the other tests off."

Ilona got quiet, she sensed there was something more to the story that he didn't want to talk about, and didn't feel like she should pry "I have a question to ask, and don't worry it has nothing to do with you. I need your opinion on something."

"What can I help you with?" he asked, liking that someone wanted his opinion, making him feel good. He knew he was good at giving advice, he just wasn't good at taking advice.

She twisted her lips, double thinking if she should even ask him for his opinion. "My ex called me, wondering if he could take me out, so we could talk. He tried giving me the I'm sorry, and I miss you talk." She felt weird talking to him about it, but being Sadie wasn't around, she needed to talk to someone about it, and wanted to get their opinion.

"I guess that's up to you if you want to see him, if you still care for him, then maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to see what he has to say. I don't know exactly what happened between the two of you, but since you mentioned that you were together for seven years, there must be something still there, and you should hear him out. Also, I would bring up to him how you feel, your wants, and needs. But that's only my opinion. I think you deserve the best; you're a beautiful woman, and deserve to be happy, and if he isn't the one, then don't waste your time."

Ilona sighed, trying to take in what he was saying to her "It makes sense, one big reason I wanted to break it off was, that I wanted kids, he didn't, and I wanted to get married, he didn't. So, maybe I shouldn't even waste my time."

"That's completely up to you, but if I were you, maybe see what he has to say, he's had time to think since you've been here. Maybe he finally realized that he made a mistake, and wants to give you what you want." Ethan turned around to see if Grace was nearby, and quickly turned back to look at her and leaned forward. "Between you, and I, if I didn't know Grace, and she was never in the picture, I'm sure I would have given you all of that, you're a terrific person, and a beautiful person inside and out. He'd be a fool to let you go." he winked, and stood up "It's awfully quiet down there, I better go check on them."

Ethan headed down the stairs to check on the girls, while Ilona decided to go by Grace, and the kids. She walked into the playroom, and sat down next to Grace, picking up a doll. "How are you feeling?"

"For the first time in days, I'm feeling alright, thanks for asking." Grace smiled.

"I'm guessing since you were in the hospital, and with them pumping fluids into you, it must have rehydrated you. I'm sure with all the puking you were doing, you were extremly dehydrated."

"Could have been." Grace thought about telling her she was pregnant, but changed her mind, wanting Sadie, and Antonio to be the first to know. She also wasn't sure how Ilona would react, being she thought Ilona had feelings for Ethan.

Ethan walked down the stairs grinning, and had his arm up covering his eyes, chuckling while making it to the last step "Alright, I'm coming down here now, you can stop making out now."

He slid his arm down slowly, and saw the kids staring at him. The girls were sitting at the bar, watching the boys play a game of pool.

Ethan looked at the girls, and grinned "Why don't we get this party started, shall we?" he asked, as he walked over to the stereo system, and turning the radio on. "How about we do the hokey pokey? Man, I was so addicted to that, but then I turned myself around." he smirked, while looking out the corner of his eye.

The girls covered their faces, shaking their heads. "You're so embarrassing Uncle Ethan." Isabella said, sighing.

"Well, if you don't feel like doing the hokey pokey, how about the Macarena? Do kids still do that these days?" he asked, smiling while going through the stations.

"Maybe at dances, and weddings, but not here." Gabriella giggled.

He found a song that he thought the kids might listen to, and stood up with a devilish grin. He put his one hand on the back of his neck, and began waving his other arm back, and forth while spinning in a circle acting goofy. "No?" he questioned, when nobody got up to dance "How about this dance?" he asked, dancing like a ballerina, causing the girls to bust out laughing.

The boys couldn't help but laugh. They thought he was strange, but funny. Ethan stopped when he noticed the girls trying to hide their smiles, and walked over in between them, putting his arms around them. "You know you both love me, how about I play one game with the boys, then I'll let you all continue on with your little party." Ethan says, kissing the girls on their cheeks "I'm just having fun, and showing them how cool I am."

"Are you a scratch player?" Andrew asked.

"I sure am, every time I hit the ball, I scratch my head wondering where the ball went." He then scratched his head, and wondered if he should just let them be. He could see they were just hanging out, having fun. He looked at both the boys while Andrew was racking the balls, giving them a curious look. "Out of curiosity, what color eyes do my nieces have?"

"They're like a crazy light green color, they are amazingly different." Chris said "Why?"

Whew Ethan thought to himself. "Oh, just curious, I've been trying to figure them out for years." He felt relieved, and stepped away from the girls, he looked at them, and gave Gabriella a nudge on her chin "Are you two playing, or am I just playing against them?"

"We'll watch." Gabriella smiled, feeling relieved he was behaving, and being cool for once.

"Who will be taking the next shot?" Ethan asked, grabbing a pool stick, and getting ready to break up the balls. They shrugged their shoulders, and looked at each other, pointing back and forth, trying to figure out who. "I guess we'll find out after the break." he smirked "I may just run the table."

Ethan played a couple games with them, figuring he would be nice, and let them win. He made shots that he knew he could easily make, and scratching on purpose. He felt like talking with them, wanting to get to know who the kids were that were interested in his nieces.

He looked over at the girls, and could tell they were getting antsy wanting him to leave. "It looks like I'm not wanted here anymore." he pouted, sticking his lip out, as he looked at Gabriella, and could see she was upset that he was still there. "Hey you two, just remember that laughter is the best medicine, take my face for example... I must be curing the world." he smirked. He wanted the girls to laugh, but only got a smile out of them.

"Fine, I know when I'm not wanted, you all have fun now... I'm off like a prom dress." Ethan headed back upstairs, looking for Grace.

He could see the girls would be fine, knew they weren't up to no good, and wouldn't be doing anything they weren't supposed to. While Grace was upstairs putting the kids to bed, he ran into Ilona. "I think I'm going to head out, the girls will be fine, they're just playing games, being typical teenagers."

"OK, thank you for the pizzas, and for all your help, even though I didn't need any help."

"I just did what Antonio asked me to do, but those boys are pretty decent, they're nothing like I was at that age."

Grace started walking down the stairs, and felt her stomach drop when she saw Ethan standing close to Ilona, and cleared her throat, letting them know she was in the room. Ethan took a step back, and looked over at Grace. "Are you ready to leave?" Ethan asked. He noticed she looked upset, and scrunched his eyebrows together, trying to figure out what she was upset about.

"I am, I'm tired."

Grace headed down the other stairs wanting to say her goodbyes to the girls, and to apologize if Ethan had done, or said anything to embarrass them.

On their way back to Ethan's, she looked at him and asked him to pull onto the side of the road. "Are you going to be sick?" he asked, looking at her, worried she was about to puke.

She slowly took her seat belt off, moved over to him, and climbed onto his lap, facing him. Ethan tilted his head to the side, wondering what she was up to "Grace?"

She hushed him by placing her finger on his lips, and stared at him. "Do you still have feelings for Ilona?"

"What?" Ethan asked shocked, wondering where that came from.

"Do you?"

"No, where is this coming from all of a sudden?"

Grace took a deep breath, and looked down closing her eyes, feeling stupid for asking "I'm sorry, I just saw how close you were standing by her, and felt a little jealous. Maybe it's the hormones... I'm sorry for even bringing it up."

Curling his finger under her chin, he tilted her head up, and leaned forward kissing her "I meant what I said, you have nothing to worry about with me, I'm not going anywhere. About Ilona, I only look at her as a friend, nothing more."

Hope you enjoyed this chapter and Ethan's wild and sweet side of him.❤❤🤣🤣❤❤🤣🤣
