Birthday of Ace and Aris

Aris POV

It's been three days ever since Ace goes out to see that guy. Since that day, my twin is acting like he is finally okay. He started going out of our room and mingle with us again. He will laugh and act like he is okay, but I know him inside and out to see that he is just pretending. He is maybe laughing and smiling, but his eyes show differently. He looks hurt and weak. I'm really nervous about him.

"Should I not proceed?? but It's already done!!" I asked myself. I can see him now watching my mom and Auntie Yaya at the back of our house preparing for our birthday party later afternoon. My mom always wants to do everything on his own. He loves managing stuff like this. My dad just needs to give him the budget that he needs. The back of our house is quite big enough to handle this kind of occasion.

I decided to go to him, he looked shocked, but then he pretended to smile again when he saw me

"Ace, are you okay? you're spacing out again?" I asked him as I sit beside him

"Uhmm, I'm okay Aris, I'm just happy looking at mommy became so hectic again because of our birthday. He is always like this every single year. What do you think is the theme of our birthday now??" He asked me

"Uhmmm, I don't know too, but mom said that he already prepared for our clothes, so we just need to get ready when it's time." I smilingly said to him. Then he returned into looking in front again. His face changes again and he becomes sad. I sigh deeply

"I'm really sorry, Ace!!" I sadly, at the same time, nervously said to him, he looked shocked upon hearing what I said

"Why are you saying sorry, Aris? You didn't do anything wrong." He said to me while holding my hands

"Yes, I do!! I'm the reason why you are sad right now. I'm sel..." He didn't let me finish

"Don't say your selfish, Aris, because you are not!! I understand, and I told you I'm okay, right? I will be okay, especially now that we are okay again. You, my twin, and you will always be my priority, I love you, and that will never change. I admit, I'm sad now, but I'm going to be okay soon. I'm going to be, I promised." He said to me while trying to smile at me, God!! How did I not see how much I meant for you, Ace. I always thought that I'm the only one making sacrifices between us but seeing you right now, I can help but feel guilty!! I'm hurting the person who loves me unconditionally!!

"I'm really sorry, Ace, but I promise I will never leave you!! I will help you be happy again!! I love you too!!" I said to him. He just smiled at me and pulled me into a tight hug.

"I love you too, Aris!! I will always choose you!! Always!!" Ace said to me, which made me feel more guilty and hurt for him. I'm sorry for putting you in this kind of situation, Ace! I'm really sorry!!

Still Aris POV

"Are you ready??" I asked my twin, I, and Ace are currently here behind the door going to the party. Our birthday party was about to start, and we need to get out now. I'm wearing a long blue blazer matching a blue and black shirt with black trousers.

Ace is wearing a cream blazer matching a white polo inside with also cream trousers. My mom's theme for our birthday is a semi-formal party which is good for us, unlike our theme last year, which is formal and was held in a big ballroom. It's our 18th birthday but, it's still exaggerated for me

"Yes, Aris, as long as you're with me! I'm always ready!" He smilingly said to me, then I proceed on knocking the door. The door open and I was mesmerized with how our backyard turns into. My mom is really good at this stuff!!

We proceed in walking to our parents, who are currently waiting for us in front of our guest

"Hi, Everyone! So let me present to all of you!! The birthday boys!! My handsome sons!! Type Ace and Thorn Aris Kirigun!!" My dad introduces us, all of our guests, which consist of other family members, Family friends, Our friends, and my dad partners our work. This party is just intimate, just like we requested but still looks stunning.

I heard all of them clap their hands as they saw us, I looked at Ace, and I felt relieved to see him smiling. He seemed so happy. We arrive in front and stand beside our parents. My dad gave us the mic so that we can speak to our guests. I gladly accept it.

"Thank you so much for attending our 19th birthday today. Sharing my birthday with this wonderful man beside me is overwhelming already, but with all of you, it feels like I'm so blessed and loved. I would never stop thanking all of you for loving my Twin and me! I appreciate all of you, and I hope someday I can give back to all of you!! Please enjoy the party! Thank you!!" I smiling said to them. I looked at my brother, signaling him that it's his turn to speak. He seemed so hesitant at first which is unusual because he always loves this kind of party. He smiled at me, then lifted the mic and started to speak

"Like what my brother said, Thank you for sharing this wonderful day with us. Please enjoy the Party and Thank you all for coming." He is really not okay. He is trying to smile, but I know he is not okay. I just smiled at him then looked at the guest again. They are all happy for us.

"I would like to ask all of your to remain to stand and join us in greeting my sons!!" My mom said then he gave a signal to one of the caterers to bring something.

It's our cake!!

"Happy birthday! My dear Aris and Ace!! God knows how much I love both of you!! You two mean the world to me. Don't ever think that I don't love you the same because I do!! Your dad and I love you immeasurably and unconditionally. That will never change, even how much older you get!! You both will always be my first babies!! I love you so much, my babies, and please remember that mom and dad will always be here for the both of you." My mom tearfully said to us. We both can't help but start to cry while hearing him. I began to feel guilty again for saying those words to him last time.

"We love you too, mommy and daddy!" We both said in unison while hugging them. We let go. They face the guest.

"Let's start? 1.2.3" My mom signaled, then the music starts

"Happy Birthday Aris!! Happy Birthday, Ace!! Happy Birthday!! Happy Birthday!! Happy Birthday to you!!" They all happily sing in unison. Ace and I can't help but feel so happy while watching them

"Please say your wish, my Sons!!" My mom smiling, said to us. We then face our cake. We both looked at each other first, then close our eyes to express our wish.

"I just wish for you always to be happy, Ace!" I said to myself. Then I open my eyes, and we both blow our candles. I can hear all of our guests clap their hands while watching us.

"Thank you for joining us in greeting our sons!! You may now all proceed and eat!! The food is served!!" My mom smiling, said to our guest.

After our small cake event, My sisters and brother run to us and hug us

"Happy birthday, P' Aris, Happy birthday P' Ace!! We love you both!!" They greeted us in unison!! They are also holding a birthday big Happy birthday for us. I smiled at them and looked at my Twin. He seemed so happy and touched by what our other siblings did. Hug them in return!!

"Thank you so much for this, Bella, Beatrice, Camille, and Cameron!! You being here for us is more than enough already!!" Ace, with his teary eye, said to them. My mom and dad walk and hold the both of us

"It's because we love you both so much!! I know these past few days have been rough for both of you, but I'm so happy that you already fix it. Please don't do that again!! It hurts so much as your parents to see you like that!!" My mom

"I'm sorry, mom, dad!! We promise it will never happen again!!" I sincerely said to them. Ace just smiled at me.

Then we all hug each other.

Author POV

It's already 10 in the evening, The party was already finished, but Aris asked Ace to join him somewhere. Ace is confused, but he still decided just to follow his Twin.

"Aris? Where are we really going? It's late already. Are you sure mom and dad are okay with this?" Ace asked his brother, who is just quiet beside him. Aris looked at him and smile

"I'm doing this for you, Ace!! Don't worry, mom and dad are aware of this, so you have nothing to worry about!!! I just want you to be happy!!" Aris smilingly said to Ace, Ace still confused, just smiled at him.

After another 30 minutes of driving, they arrive at the university.

"What are we doing here?" Ace confusedly asked his twin. Aris just smiled at him and decided to pull him to go somewhere. Ace just followed him.

They arrived at the rooftop of the IT Building. Aris was about to open the door to enter the roof, but Ace stopped him. This place reminds him of Damon!! He doesn't want to be here. It reminds him al the things that he lost.

"I don't want to be here, Aris. Please let's just go home!!" Ace pulled Aris didn't bulge.

"Behind this door is your happiness. Are you sure? You really don't want to open it." Aris smilingly said to him

Ace's face suddenly changes when he realizes what his brother had meant.

"Aris." Ace tears started to fall from his cheeks.

"I'm so sorry if it took me a while to realize that I was wrong to force you to let go of the one thing that is making you happy just because of my pain. I realized that even though you are my twin, I don't have any right to make your life miserable just because of what happened to me in the past. I'm really sorry, Ace!! I promise always to protect you but I broke it when I made you push him away. I love you so much, Ace, and I promise to do good next time. This is my act of fixing things for you!! I hope you can still accept it." Aris smilingly said to his twin. Ace was shocked upon hearing what his twins had said to him. He pulled him into a tight hug.

"Thank you! Thank you so much, Aris!! I love you so much, my twin!" Ace said to Aris while hugging him. Then they let go.

"I love you, my twin, and Happy Birthday to you!! Are you ready to see my gift?" Aris smilingly said to Ace. The man breath deeply before answering

"Very!" Ace excitedly said to Aris. Aris then smiles at him and looks at the door, then starts to open it.
