Chapter 8
3rd Person's POV
A month have passed and all of the lessons were being delivered pretty well, they've understood basically everything about anything about journey ideas.
Ash didn't have any hard time teaching them things unlike other classes, guess that's what the best section's made for.
Ash commended them for that.
It was another day of class but an announcement bothered the teachers, including Ash.
"What, the tournament's cancelled?" Ash asked in surprise.
"I'm afraid it'll be cancelled due to some errands that require the official's attendance." Professor Oak replied.
Ash kept quiet for a while. Other teachers were bickering about how and when did this happen.
"Unfortunately, we may have to graduate them earlier as expected." Professor Oak declared.
The whole meeting place was just quiet and decided to just agree with what Professor Oak said. Everyone left from the hall only leaving Ash and Professor Oak.
"I know, you've got pretty close with your students as time passed by." Professor Oak suddenly said.
Ash didn't move an inch, as he is thinking about how he should say this sudden announcement to them.
"They're really looking forward for this tournament, also a part of me is very sad because I want to see the fruit of my teachings onto them." Ash replied in a rather calm tone.
"I know, I know you've been doing your job responsibly as to because I was the one suggesting all of these..." Professor Oak trailed off.
Ash sighed and then plastered his usual cheery attitude and will just think for the best.
"Alright then, I may have to tell them now, there's still time before the bell rings." Ash stated and was about to walk out the hall.
"Make sure to leave some parting gifts for them, I'm sure you have some."
"Parting gifts? I don't have any."
"Well, maybe, a parting battle will do."
He smirked and is happy at that suggestion.
"I'll do that, thank you Professor."
With that, he walked out and proceeded to his class.
...
"What did you say?!" It was Gary with his irritated face aggressively pushing against Paul.
"I'm just stating the fact. A Blastoise can't beat an Electivire." Paul replied with a smirk.
The whole class is in literal chaos, well, not really full chaos, just the part where Paul and Gary sits, their classmates trying hard to separate them.
"I'm gonna let you say that again once I beat that thing in a pulp!" Gary said in a more angry tone.
But all of these seems pretty normal for the girls, as they know thay all of these are just basically friendly fight. Indeed they're rivals, but they're also good friends.
"Jeez, fighting over small things." It was Miette, the girl with short blue hair, she sighed at the sight of two boys fighting.
"YOU WANT TO JOIN TOO?!" Now it's both Paul and Gary who yelled at her for intervening. That really activated her tick mark.
"YOU WANNA GO BLOCKHEADS?!" An angry Miette joined this so called chaos, so some other classmates tried to separate her from the boys.
"Yeah, just another normal day in Class A." Lillie sighed and continued on petting her Alolan Vulpix.
The chaos still went on and suddenly Ash calmly entered the room, indeed he's used to it.
"Settle down everyone" As soon as he said that, literally everyone stopped doing their thing and looked at the figure standing on the main side of the room.
As soon as they laid eyes on Ash, they quickly returned to their seats and pretend nothing happened.
"So, maybe everyone of you here expected regular class, but no, I'll be making an announcement." Ash started.
They remained silent and waited for the teacher to tell them the announcement.
"So, there's a meeting a while ago, and it's stated that we will not be having any tournament this school year." Ash announced.
With that being said, everyone boomed in defeaning loud voices, majority of it are the disagreement of this news.
"I know, and I've been said that you'll be graduated earlier than expected, that means you'll be embarking your own journeys earlier." Ash continued.
They paused for a while and remained in silent.
"Yes, I know, you've been looking forward for this tournament, but I'm afraid that enthusiasm may be ruined. I hope this will not hinder your excitement in going on journeys." Ash explained.
"W-We understand..." They all muttered.
"Just remember all of my teachings, and I'm sure you'll be able to easily come up with something on every situations." Ash said.
"But, what will you gonna do now?" It was May who asked him.
"Me? I'll continue my own journey." Ash bluntly said.
They fell silent for a while.
"What?"
"O-Oh."
Ash scratched his head nervously because he forgot that they didn't knew he's a temporary teacher from the very beginning.
"I...I'm just a temporary teacher, knowing that all of us here are basically of the same age, or me probably higher for about one year, but yeah, we share the same goals, I'm still on my journey." He explained.
They were awestruck at that, their teacher's also travelling from places to places just like them, or, the sooner them.
"Now, to assess this class, Gary, Trip, Paul." Ash called.
"Yes?" The three of them replied in unison.
"You'll be battling me again, but this time, the three of you will represent your whole class, I'll be assessing you again, and I expect different result than we did a month ago." Ash said with a smirk.
All of them cheered because they're going to see their teacher in action again.
...
"This is a one versus three battle! Each trainer will only send one Pokemon on both sides. As soon as teacher's pokemon is out, the other side will be declared the winner. Everyone, reveal your pokemons!" It was Dawn acting as the referee.
The three boys were fired up and quickly revealed their Pokemon.
"Blastoise, come out!"
"Staraptor, let's go!"
"Serperior, we need your assistance!"
Three Pokemons came out from their respective pokeballs and gave out their loud cries.
Ash smirked at them and he thought it's time to reveal his original partner.
"Pikachu, want to get some action?" Ash asked his best buddy.
Out of nowhere, Pikachu just jumped onto his shoulder and grinned, crying out it's name. Then he hopped towards the battlefield.
The audience, his class, were murmuring because it's their first time seeing him having a Pikachu.
"Oh, fun fact, this guy here is my starter, so basically he's been around me since the day one, and you know what that means." Ash said while grinning.
"Yeah...it's somewhat more capable than those other pokemons we've seen before, probably better than those Lucarios." Gary muttered, sweats ran downwards his cheeks.
"Trip, Paul, we're not gonna lose this time, let's show him what we're made of!"
"Right!"
"This is good, they've improved already." Ash thought, still grinning.
"Blastoise, start strong with Hydro Cannon!" Gary quickly commanded.
Blastoise cried out loud before aiming his cannons towards Pikachu, moments later, stream of water was suddenly fired off from the cannon and is aimed towards Pikachu.
"Pikachu, Psychic, mix it with Thunderbolt." Ash grinned, it'll be their first time seeing an impossible thing to happen.
"Ps-Psychic?!" Everyone exclaimed in shock.
Pikachu smirked as he fired off a Thunderbolt, but suddenly, it deformed and is shaped like a boomerang, kind of Psycho Cut but with electricity. It cut right through the Hydro Cannon and is moving towards Blastoise.
"Quick, Dragon Tail!" Trip quickly commanded as he sensed danger.
Serperior was quicker to act and was able to block the weird Psycho Cut Thunderbolt.
It made a decent dust cloud, it dispersed as time passed by.
"Wh-What was that?!" Gary shouted with mixed emotion.
"I already told you, if you can unlock a Pokemon's potential past from their limit, you can do the impossible, though I was going to call it Psycho Bolt..." He said as he put a finger on his chin.
"Like, this battle's still a child's play for him..." Lillie commented from the seats.
"Tsk, Staraptor, Steel Wing!"
"Serperior, another Dragon Tail!"
"Blastoise, Rapid Spin!"
"Going for melee offensive attack I see..." Ash thought.
All three Pokemons charged towards Pikachu.
"You can block that Pikachu." Ash said, confident of his Pokemon's capability.
Pikachu's fists emitted electricity, as soon as the three approached close enough, Pikachu punched the ground and it caused massive shock towards the whole battlefield, forcing Staraptor, Serperior and Blastoise to back off, but still dealt damage.
"Wh-What was that?!" This time it was Paul.
"What? That's just Thunderpunch!" Ash replied bluntly.
"Just Thunderpunch?!" The three of them yelled as the thick dust cloud worn off and all they can see were shattered rocks everywhere.
"Th-This is pretty hectic..." Gary commented as he still looked at the casualties Pikachu made just from that Thunderpunch.
"Alright, we give up, we can't win." Gary suddenly declared, and surprisingly, Trip and Paul felt the same, there's literally no way they can defeat something like this, it's beyond their expectations that his Pikachu can do that much.
"Very good, they've really learned, knowing that they can't handle this, they have to forfeit and learn from it." Ash thought.
"Very well, you've done splendid, I can tell that you and literally everyone here are ready to embark on their new adventures." Ash declared.
"It was a good battle, let's meet again somewhere." Ash smirked, Pikachu hopped on Ash's shoulder and he let out Corviknight, they've exited the scene, leaving everyone behind.
As Corviknight glided away, a paper piece fell off from the sky. Gary was the one to pick it up and read what the letter said.
Best wishes on your journey, let's meet again, and this time, it'll be official.
