Amelia sat through the rest of her lessons unable to concentrate. She kept thinking over what Alex said, no matter how much she tried to stop thinking over it she couldn't. She left the building she was in and sighed when the warmth of the sun hit her she looked down at her phone preparing to message Rose when she heard her shouting.

"what the hell!"

Amelia walked over to Rose smiling rolling her eyes "what are you shouting for?

"Stupid tutors giving me more work to do like I don't already have enough"

Amelia snorts "welcome to collage love"

"And I hate it already" rose says laughing

Shaking her head Amelia thought back to her conversation with Alex and frowned

"You okay amelia? " Amelia looked down a little nervously and played with the hem of the old shirt she was wearing. "Mel sit down and talk to me"

"Can we go somewhere more private?" Amelia sighed once she came out of her day dream.

"Yeah of course how about an empty room?" Rose suggested looking at Amelia who seemed withdrawn.

"There's a little cafe nearby. Shall we go there?"

"Yeah sure"

They walk in silence until they get to the cafe and sit down, Amelia sighs "I ran into someone who I didn't exactly want to see that's all" she avoids looking in Rose's eyes knowing her friend will see right through her and realise that this is something more than what she's letting on.

Rose thought for a while "Okay well try to stop thinking about it now, do you want to go shopping?" she smiled. Rose hates seeing her friend upset and scared looking, it used to be constant but recently it tapered off and Amelia had been looking better.

Amelia chuckles at Rose knowing her best friend was always the one to cheer her up "I don't know really... this person just really shook me up plus i'm pretty sure i dont have my card on me"

"Don't let them get to you. People aren't worth the time because they make you feel like this' ' Amelia nods as Rose says this, she couldn't keep letting her past eat away at her and she knew that but she still just couldn't get over it! She didn't know why it was preventing her from being happy... James would have wanted her to be happy.

Amelia nods slightly "they're trying to make me go back to work but i don't want to that's all" she couldn't go back. She would fight it all she could, there was only one way she would be going back.

Rose looks at Amelia "I know you can't actually tell me anything but all you can do is to go back to work when you are ready" dang it. She knew Rose could see through her she just didn't realise she would pick up on everything so well. She had to hide it better than no one could know.

"Honestly I don't think I can go back after what happened... i can't face that again"

"Everyone has bad times. But it will eventually make you feel stronger like nothing else can hurt you"

"I don't think my job works like that...." she knew it didn't work like that, her work becomes like a family it's devastating to lose one of your family... worse when they're lost because of you.

"If only you could tell me what happened then I could actually help you..."

"Someone had an accident and didnt make it" now that wasn't exactly a lie, amelia thought to herself

"Oh god... and you're feeling guilty. That is what you call survivors guilt" now that Rose had an idea of what was going on she felt awful, someone in amelia's life had died so long ago and she couldn't do anything to help

"I could have fucking stopped it" Amelia whispered to herself tears now streaming down her face she couldnt tell if it was out of anger or sadness, probrably both.

"Amelia,If you could have stopped it you would have" Rose tried to reason with her, she chewed her lip nervously knowing her friend was coming apart.

"But i fucking didnt did i?" Amelia snapped clenching her fists in her shirt in an attempt to calm herself down.

"You need to stop fucking blaming yourself. It wasn't your fault" Rose herself was starting to get angry

"Yes it fucking was for fucks sake it was my..." amelia got cut off by her phone ringing. She looked down and answered "hello?"

Her mum was on the other end "A-amelia you need to get home now, something went wrong someone found out where we live i can't find Damion!" Amelia went drip white and her phone fell with a clatter to the floor.
