----------4----------
The next morning I wake up to the sound of chewing and crunching. My eyes snap open and I look around to see Jonah and Adam eating Lays potato chips and bananas.
"Morning Jen." Adam says, tossing me a banana and a bag of Salt and Vinegar chips. I open them and start eating eagerly. Jonah and I have been rationing our food, because it needs to last for a long time.
Once I'm finished eating, I stand up and brush my clothes off. I gaze at Adam on the couch, and his now less bloody leg. And at Jonah on the ground, chomping on barbeque chips.
"Jonah I want you to stay here again with Adam while I go out and get some more medical supplies. And maybe a book on stitches." I see Adam wince and I smile to myself.
"What? This is the second time that you've gone by yourself! It isn't safe."
"Right, but it's even less safe for Adam to be here, wounded and on a couch by himself. Stay here." I say firmly.
Jonah slumps to the floor and I slip on a pair of black running shoes. I slip on a face mask and put my gun in my belt loop, making sure that it's on safety.
"I'll be back."
