Naira's POV

I was lost in the castle , so I decided to go down and took the marble staircase , there were many halls connected to each other , one had many paintings so I decided to check them out.

These Vampires must be very old , these paintings look like centuries old , and here is KARTIK he still looks the same and this is her sister Mansi and who are these?

I heard some footsteps and two people came they were talking but stopped when they saw me. There was man and a lady , the lady came towards me and said

"hello dear , I'm Swarna , Kartik's Mother"

I was shocked , she looked so young for her age , beautiful and elegant , she wore a simple purple long gowns.

"I'm Naira" I replied

Naira's POV Ends

S-How lovely to see you , he's my husband and Kartik's dad , Manish.

M- Made yourself comfortable??

He asked sternly.

Naira just nodded then Manish left and only Swarna was left there with Naira

S- I saw you , you were pretty curious about these paintings

N- Ya , I was just seeing them , who's this?

S- Oh he's  Kartik's brother Rishi , Kartik and Rishi are really close.

She smiled proudly.

N- And whose he??

Naira said pointing to another person in the picture.

Her expression changed immediately , she looked worried.

S- Umm.. he's also Kartik's brother  , his name is Rahul

N- Well I didn't see him here?

S- Oh , just leave it tell me how you feel about this place?

N- I dunno

S- see I know you're confused but it's always been like that , I was also from a village and the Vampires used to chose their soulmates to live the immortal years , maybe at first you don't like that but when you find love everything seems to go fast , and in the end only love matters

Naira was understanding what was she trying to say.

N- What if I don't chose to live this life

S- If Kartik will not marry his soulmate then he'll be banished from kingdom and moreover it will bring shame to us.

Naira was just confused

N- Are u serious?

Swarna just smiled and then left her.

N- Great!! What a nice ritual!

She said sarcastically.

A servant came and said

" Everyone is waiting for you at the lunch"

Naira followed the servant to the lunch table , at the main chair was sitting Manish , then Swarna. Naira sat beside Kartik reluctantly and was facing Mansi , beside Mansi was Rishi sitting there.

Naira looked towards Kartik , he also looked towards her but they both then ignored it and started eating. She remembered hitting him but where is the wound? Maybe it healed fast.

Kartik noticed her looking at his shoulder and then met her gaze , Naira immediately averted her gaze to her food. Kartik leaned in near her ear , his hot breaths senses shivers in her body.

Kartik whispered

K- Nice introduction you did in the room.

He then smirked.

"Eating without me??"

They all looked up and saw Rahul there , shock was visible on there face Kartik and Rishi stood at once and looked angrily towards Rahul

Ra- Calm down brothers , I'm your family only.

Ri- REALLY??

M- Calm down Rishi

Ri- How am I supposed to do that?

Rishi was fisting in anger , his fangs ready to come out.

Ra- Whatever , oh who is here

Rahul smiled cunningly.

He looked towards Naira and went towards her but Kartik came in between in a whoosh.

Ra- I see , your soulmate , c'mon let me meet her , I'll not eat her.

Kartik looked towards his father and he nodded , so Kartik sided. Rahul walked towards Naira

Ra- I'm Rahul Goenka , who you might be?

N- I'm Naira Singhania

Naira was feeling very uncomfortable , his constant smirking face was making her more uncomfortable

K- Naira why don't you go up and rest , Mansi will escort you.

Naira and Mansi left

N- What was all this

M- Umm my both brothers Kartik and Rishi are very good but Rahul , he's a monster

N- Why??

M- Well centuries ago , he put a dagger in my body and left me in a coffin for a month

N- That's horrible!!! , And you're still alive?

M- Ya , after it is taken out , we are back into our old forms

N- But still that much anger.

M- Well the dagger was only a starting , he had conspired against dad too.

N- Hmm

M- You may sleep for a while.
